Major depressive disorder (MDD) and anxiety are increasingly prevalent among university student populations, yet early detection remains reliant on psychometric instruments tied to diagnostic criteria (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD). Emerging evidence suggests that depression affects both the acoustic properties and content of speech, making speech analysis a promising candidate as a digital biomarker for early screening. This study evaluates the validity of acceXible, a speech-based machine learning platform, for the detection and monitoring of depression and anxiety in the student population of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), Mexico. AcceXible captures spontaneous speech through open-ended interview tasks and applies automated acoustic and linguistic analysis. The primary objective is to evaluate the validity of the acceXible spontaneous speech analysis system for depression and anxiety screening, assessed against the PHQ and GAD scales as reference standards. Secondary objectives include examining associations between speech-derived variables and other study measures, evaluating participant engagement with digital mental health resources, assessing user satisfaction with the platform, and analyzing longitudinal changes in scores across follow-up assessments.

The study will compare the efficacy of intermittent Theta Burst Stimulation (iTBS) with DLPFC-pgACC personalized target for major depressive disorder (MDD) and explore possible brain network mechanisms. The stimulated targets will be located by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) based on functional MRI based on functional connectivity respectively. This study aims to identify that functional connectivity targeted iTBS protocols on DLPFC-pgACC personalized target have a better antidepressant efficacy compared the sham group and certify that pgACC is an effective potential effector target.

This research study is testing whether Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) can help reduce fatigue in people with sarcoidosis. The study will also look at whether MBSR can improve symptoms of anxiety and depression. Participants will be placed into one of two groups: * One group will take part in an 8-week virtual MBSR program, attend weekly online sessions, keep a daily mindfulness journal, and complete surveys about fatigue, anxiety, and depression. * The other group will join a virtual support group once a month for 5 months and complete the same surveys. The goal is to see which approach is more helpful for improving fatigue and mental well-being in people with sarcoidosis.

Background: Terminally ill patients often experience significant psychosocial distress having depressed mood, death anxiety, pain, and an overall poor quality of life. Recent evidence from pilot studies suggests that serotonergic hallucinogens including lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and psilocybin produce significant and sustained reductions of depressive symptoms and anxiety, along with increases in quality of life, and life meaning in patients suffering from life-threatening diseases. Additionally, serotonergic hallucinogens may produce antinociceptive effects. Objective and Design: The study aims to evaluate effects of LSD on psychosocial distress in 60 patients suffering from an advanced or end-stage fatal disease with a life expectancy ≥12wks and ≤2yrs in an active placebo-controlled double-blind parallel study. Patients will be allocated in a 2:1 ratio to one of the two intervention arms receiving either two moderate to high doses of LSD (100 µg and 100 µg or 100 µg and 200 µg) as intervention and two low doses of LSD (25 µg and 25 µg) as active-placebo control.

This study aims to evaluate the clinical efficacy of rivastigmine in reversing the full spectrum of toxic anticholinergic delirium, with a specific focus on hypoactive delirium and CNS depression. These presentations were predominantly associated with clozapine toxicity, accounting for 90% of the study population. Additionally, the research investigates the safety and efficacy of rivastigmine in reversing CNS depression caused by Tricyclic Antidepressants (TCAs), challenging traditional concerns regarding the use of cholinesterase inhibitors in such cases. The study was conducted on 100 patients at the Poison Control Center of Alexandria University Main Hospital. The primary objective is to assess the effectiveness of rivastigmine in restoring consciousness and improving cognitive function in patients presenting with delirium and depressed mental status.

Palliative care patients frequently face a "symptom cluster" of pain (up to 96%), fatigue (up to 90%), and anxiety (up to 79%), which severely degrades their quality of life in their final months.The study is built on the concept of passive exposure therapy (VREP), which engages multiple senses to distract the brain from pain signals. By creating an "immersive distraction" or a "flow state," VR can activate the brain's reward networks and reduce activity in areas associated with pain perception. Unlike most existing VR research in palliative care which uses "passive" VR (like watching a 360-degree video), this study uses interactive VR. Patients can perform simple actions-like grabbing or dropping virtual objects-within a calming natural environment, which may better support their sense of autonomy and dignity. Because this is a pilot study, the "Go/No-Go" decision for future larger trials depends on a strict composite of three factors: * Adherence: The patient must complete at least 11 out of 14 planned daily sessions. * Duration: Each session must average at least 7.5 minutes of usable VR exposure. * Tolerance: The patient must experience no device-related serious adverse events and maintain a high average tolerance score (VRISE score ≥ 25).

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a digital perinatal bereavement support program designed for women who have experienced pregnancy loss. Perinatal loss is associated with significant psychological distress, including grief, depression, and anxiety, which may persist over time if not adequately addressed. The intervention consists of a structured digital support program delivered over five weeks, focusing on emotional processing, coping strategies, and psychological resilience. Participants were assessed at baseline, immediately after the intervention, and during follow-up periods at 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months. The primary objective is to determine whether the intervention improves psychological outcomes, including grief and depressive symptoms. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of accessible and scalable mental health support models for women experiencing perinatal loss.

Migrant populations experience elevated levels of psychological distress while facing barriers to accessing mental health care. Lifestyle factors such as physical activity, sleep, diet, and social engagement are closely linked to mental health and represent promising targets for preventive interventions. Digital delivery may increase accessibility and reduce structural barriers to care. The aim of this study is to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and efficacy of a culturally and linguistically adapted digital lifestyle intervention for migrants experiencing moderate psychological distress in Sweden. Participants (N = 240) will be randomized to an 8-week digital lifestyle intervention or to a wait-list control receiving a general lifestyle module. A nested pilot study (N = 30) will first assess feasibility and acceptability. Outcomes include general psychological health, quality of life, depression, anxiety, stress, and lifestyle behaviors. Assessments will be conducted at baseline, post-treatment (8 weeks), 2-month follow-up, and 6-month follow-up.

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn whether an artificial intelligence-assisted internet-based mindfulness intervention for emotional distress (iMIED) can prevent or reduce anxiety and depressive symptoms in adults with subclinical emotional distress. The main questions it aims to answer are: Can iMIED reduce anxiety symptoms, as measured by the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7)? Can iMIED reduce depressive symptoms, as measured by the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9)? Researchers will compare participants receiving iMIED plus access to usual mental health resources with participants receiving usual mental health resources alone to see whether iMIED leads to greater improvement in emotional distress over time. Participants will: complete online screening and baseline assessments; be randomly assigned to either the iMIED intervention group or the control group; if assigned to the intervention group, complete a 49-day AI-assisted online mindfulness self-help program using a WeChat mini-program and AI support tool; complete follow-up online questionnaires during the intervention and at 3, 6, 12, 18, and 24 months after the intervention; report information on mental health symptoms, quality of life, healthcare use, sleep, stress, resilience, and life satisfaction.

Symptoms of depression are highly prevalent among Veterans. However, fewer than 30% of individuals with these symptoms receive any psychotherapy in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). This is due to many factors, which may include provider availability and patient preferences. Guided self-help (GSH), which involves coaching sessions with patients who are following a fully developed self-help program, has the potential to increase access to care for these Veterans, particularly if implemented within a stepped care model of mental health treatment delivery and if delivered by a diverse set of providers. The VHA's primary care-mental health integration (PCMHI) service, which focuses on short courses of care for mild to moderate symptoms, may be an ideal place in which to deploy GSH. The current project seeks conduct a pilot randomized trial of a GSH program for depression adapted for PCMHI based on behavioral activation.

Mental health conditions occurring during pregnancy and up to one year postpartum (the perinatal period) occur in 1 in 5 perinatal individuals. To improve mental health care during the perinatal period, this study will implement and compare a health care model of improving mood and anxiety disorder care in practices with a health care-community partnership model. The study will include 32 perinatal care settings across the United States. Half of them will have the health care model, the other half will have the health care-community partnership model. The study is designed to answer the question, "Should states and healthcare systems put resources into a healthcare system approach or a healthcare-community partnership approach to mental health care?" The results of this study will help states and healthcare systems decide how to develop pathways for increasing access to mental health care for pregnant and postpartum individuals.

The goal of this observational study is to learn if a non-contact facial scan using artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to check health status in adults living in urban areas such as Jakarta. The facial scan uses a method called remote photoplethysmography (rPPG), which measures small changes in blood flow from the face using a camera. The main questions this study aims to answer are: 1. How close are the results from the facial scan to standard medical measurements, such as heart rate, breathing rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels? 2. Can the facial scan estimate other health indicators, such as blood sugar, lipid profile, HbA1c, and hemoglobin levels? 3. Is there a relationship between the facial scan results and mental health, such as stress, anxiety, and depression? Participants will take part in several simple and mostly non-invasive procedures: 1. Answer questionnaires about their mental health and daily habits 2. Have basic health checks, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and body measurements 3. Provide a blood sample for laboratory testing 4. Complete a facial scan using a camera for about 1 to 3 minutes Researchers will compare the results from the facial scan with standard clinical and laboratory tests to see how well the technology works. This study may help develop a simple and accessible screening tool that can be used for early detection of health risks. It may also support the use of digital health and telemedicine in community and clinical settings.

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn whether a music-based intervention can improve mental and physical health and strengthen coping skills among adults living in residential care settings in northern Arizona. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does participation in the music-based intervention reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and pain?, and Does participation increase the use of music as a coping strategy and improve overall well-being? Researchers will compare participants' pre-intervention and post-intervention responses to determine whether the music classes are associated with improvements in health and coping outcomes. Participants will: Attend a 6-week music class held once per week for one hour; participate in active music activities such as drumming and rhythm exercises; complete a brief survey before and after the intervention. Some participants are also invited to complete a short interview about their experiences.

This clinical multiple case study seeks to expand the knowledge of how schema therapy could function as an intervention for difficult-to-treat depression. The study will explore in depth the course of a 30 session treatment with schema therapy conducted over approximately one year on three individual patients at two different psychiatric treatment sites. Together, the data from this study will inform about the feasibility of schema therapy for difficult-to-treat depression as well as form the base for recommendations in adapting schema therapy for this particular patient group.

The goal of this study is to test a sleep health program designed specifically for U.S. Marine Corps personnel. Researchers want to determine if this program helps Marines improve the participants sleep quality and overall mental health. The study will evaluate whether the program improves sleep quality and duration and reduces symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and suicide ideation. There are three distinct sleep health programs that will be evaluated; participants will be randomly assigned to one of five groups to receive different combinations of the sleep health programs. To measure results, researchers will use participant surveys for all enrolled participants and wearable sleep-tracking devices for a sub-set of participants. The study team expects that Marines who receive the most comprehensive version of the program will show the greatest improvements in sleep and psychological well-being.

This study compares the effectiveness of technology-enhanced collaborative care management (t-CoCM) to usual collaborative care management (u-CoCM) in achieving fidelity to processes of care and reducing depression symptoms in patients currently receiving cancer treatment. CoCM is a population-based, integrated care approach, where care managers, who are clinicians (typically clinical social workers), deliver behavioral treatments, coordinate psychosocial care, monitor outcomes, and adjust treatment with the input of a psychiatric consultant. The use of t-CoCM may improve the treatment of depression and improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
