About Clareo
We're building clarity for the moments that matter most.

Our Mission
Healthcare information should empower, not overwhelm.
Clareo turns complex medical conversations into clear understanding, so patients and caregivers leave appointments feeling confident instead of confused.
Because when care is clear, trust grows, safety improves, and people are better able to speak up, ask questions, and make informed decisions about their health.
The Story Behind the Work
Clareo began with a simple question after a family member left an emergency room visit: "What did the doctors say?"
“I don't know.”
Not because she wasn't paying attention. Not because she didn't care. But because she was overwhelmed.
That experience revealed a common problem: patients are expected to remember and interpret life-changing information in moments of stress - with little support to do so reliably.
Clareo was built to strengthen clarity in those moments.
The Problem We Solve
Doctors bring expertise and care to every appointment. But patients are often left carrying the burden of understanding on their own.
Too often, the part that matters most — truly absorbing, remembering, and acting on what was said falls through the cracks.
Memory, hurried notes, and after-visit summaries aren't enough.
Clareo doesn't replace clinicians. It strengthens comprehension, recall, and confidence where it matters most: in the moments after the visit, when patients are trying to make sense of what to do next.
Who We Serve
Clareo is designed for:
Caregivers Supporting a Loved One
Facing a serious condition
People Living with Chronic Conditions
Managing ongoing treatment and follow-up care
Patients Facing New Diagnoses
Trying to understand what comes next
Anyone Leaving Appointments Unsure
Seeking clear next steps
Our Focus
We started in pediatric oncology because the information load is high and the stakes are life-changing. The insights from this use case inform how Clareo supports understanding across many serious and chronic care settings.
What Makes Us Different
Clareo is designed to help people, not systems.
Patient-First Design
Clareo is built around the lived experience of patients and caregivers — not billing codes, provider workflows, or clinician documentation priorities.
Understanding Over Transcription
We don't just capture words. We organize them into meaning, priority, and actionable next steps that you can revisit and use.
No EHR Connection Required
Clareo does not require access to your electronic health record. Your doctor visits — your source of truth — guide what you understand, not what's documented in a portal.
Privacy & Security
Healthcare conversations are deeply personal. We treat them that way.
Encrypted Infrastructure
Secure, compliant cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest
Isolated Accounts
Each user account operates in its own secure context — no data is accessible to other users
No AI Training
AI model providers cannot use Clareo data for training
You're In Control
You control when recordings begin and end — conversations are never sold or shared
Clarity in Action
Before Clareo
A parent leaves an oncology appointment with pages of notes and a head full of questions.
- ?Was the dosage changed?
- ?When does maintenance begin?
- ?Did the doctor say to call if the fever lasts 24 hours — or 48?
That night, they reread their notes. They check the portal. They try to remember what was said.
After Clareo
They open the app. The visit is organized into clear priorities:
- Medication changes
- What to watch for
- When to call
- Questions for next appointment
Instead of replaying the conversation in their head, they move forward with clarity.
