NCT01149083
This phase II trial studies how well veliparib with or without carboplatin works in treating patients with stage III or IV breast cancer. Veliparib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether veliparib is more effective with or without carboplatin in treating breast cancer.
NCT02879695
This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of blinatumomab when given with nivolumab alone or nivolumab and ipilimumab in treating patients with poor-risk CD19+ precursor B-lymphoblastic leukemia that has come back after a period of improvement (relapsed) or has not responded to treatment (refractory). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as blinatumomab, nivolumab, and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread.
NCT02602262
HIV-infected (HIV+) individuals who agree to accept and receive a solid organ transplant from an HIV+ deceased donor will be followed to determine the safety and efficacy of this practice. Some HIV+ individuals who receive a solid organ transplant from HIV-uninfected (HIV-) donors will also be followed.

NCT03561376
Patients undergoing routine surgery in the Department of Dermatology for any indication on non-scalp skin and closed in linear fashion with scar greater than or equal to 4.5cm in length will be invited to participate in this split scar, head to head study comparing zinc oxide and petrolatum. Patients will apply respective ointments to each half of scar daily for one month and maintain a log of these activities. They will be seen at 1 week, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and 6 months post-operatively for photographic scar assessment and to complete the patient portion of the Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale (POSAS), a quantitative objective assessment of scar appearance. Trained observers (board-certified dermatologists) will score the observer portion of the scale. POSAS outcomes, post-operative infections, linear density of epidermal seal will be assessed at the 1 week, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and 6 months post-operative periods and compared between the two groups. Participants will have parking validated for all visits and upon completion of all portions of the study will receive a standardized skin care gift bag containing samples for hypoallergenic skin care products (washes, moisturizers, etc.).
NCT03976375
This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab (MK-3475) with lenvatinib (E7080/MK-7902) vs. docetaxel in participants with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and progressive disease (PD) after platinum doublet chemotherapy and treatment with one prior anti-PD-1/PD-L1 monoclonal antibody (mAb). The primary hypotheses of this study are that pembrolizumab + lenvatinib (compared with docetaxel) prolongs: 1) overall survival (OS); and progression-free survival (PFS) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors Version 1.1 (RECIST 1.1) based on blinded independent central review (BICR).
NCT05239728
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of oral belzutifan (MK-6482) plus intravenous (IV) pembrolizumab (MK-3475) compared to placebo plus pembrolizumab, in the adjuvant treatment of Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma (ccRCC) post nephrectomy. The primary study hypothesis is that belzutifan plus pembrolizumab is superior to placebo plus pembrolizumab with respect to disease-free survival (DFS).
NCT07122700
The Non-Invasive Biomarkers for Metabolic Liver Disease (NIMBLE) study is a comprehensive, multi-year collaborative effort to standardize, validate and advance the regulatory qualification of blood- and imaging-based biomarkers to diagnose and stage Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), previously known as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). MASH is characterized by liver inflammation accompanied by simultaneous fat accumulation in the liver.
NCT03687359
Primary Objectives: * To describe the characteristics of pediatric patients with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (AD) whose disease is not adequately controlled with topical therapies or when those therapies are not medically advisable. * To evaluate the time-course of AD and selected atopic comorbidities. Secondary Objectives: * To characterize disease burden and unmet need. * To describe real-world treatment patterns (eg, dosing regimens, treatment duration, and reasons for discontinuation and/or switching). * To document the real-world effectiveness and safety of treatments.
NCT06345079
Neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) are slow growing cancers, which commonly present as metastatic incurable disease. Some neuroendocrine tumours, termed functional NETs, overproduce hormones which result in a variety of symptoms. However, approximately 75% of NETs are considered non-functional meaning that they do not result in hormone overproduction. The main treatment for both functional and non-functional NETs is somatostatin analogues (SSA, a type of inhibitory hormone). These drugs slow tumour growth and reduce hormone production. Over time, the majority of patients will experience tumour growth despite treatment with SSA therapy. When this occurs, the addition of Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT, a type of targeted radiotherapy) in combination with ongoing SSA therapy is given. However, it is not known if continuing SSA therapy after commencement of PRRT is beneficial or not. The aim of this study is to estimate the outcomes of patients with grade 1 and 2 well differentiated mid, hind-gut or pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours who have progressed on SSA therapy and receive subsequent PRRT with or without concurrent SSA.
NCT01771107
This pilot phase I/II trial studies the side effects and the best dose of brentuximab vedotin when given together with combination chemotherapy and to see how well they work in treating patients with stage II-IV human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-associated Hodgkin lymphoma. Brentuximab vedotin is a monoclonal antibody, called brentuximab, linked to a chemotherapy drug called vedotin. Brentuximab attaches to CD30-positive cancer cells in a targeted way and delivers vedotin to kill them. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as doxorubicin hydrochloride, vinblastine sulfate, and dacarbazine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving brentuximab vedotin together with combination chemotherapy may kill more cancer cells.
NCT06347315

NCT04153864
SUMMIT's (Scaling Up Maternal Mental health care by Increasing access to Treatment) overarching goal is to examine the scalability and patient-centered provision of brief, evidence-based psychological treatments for perinatal depression and anxiety (N=1226). Specifically, and through a multi-site, randomized, pragmatic trial, the trial examines whether a brief, behavioral activation (BA) treatment delivered via telemedicine is as effective as the same treatment delivered in person; and whether BA delivered by non-mental health providers (e.g., nurses), with appropriate training is as effective as when delivered by specialist providers (psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers) in reducing perinatal depressive and anxiety symptoms. The study will be conducted in Toronto, NorthShore University HealthSystem in Evanston and surrounding areas including Chicago, and North Carolina. The trial will also identify relevant underlying implementation processes and determine whether, and to what extent, these strategies work differentially for certain women over others.

NCT03409367
Atopic dermatitis (AD) affects over 9 million children in the U.S. and often heralds the development of asthma, food allergy, skin infections and neurodevelopmental disorders. Recent advances identify skin barrier dysfunction to be the key initiator of AD and possibly allergic sensitization. Our central hypothesis is that daily emollient use from birth can prevent the development of AD in a community setting and into newborns unselected for risk. The results of a community-based clinical trial utilizing a pragmatic trial design will be immediately applicable to the population at large and will establish a new standard of care for all newborns.
NCT07123038
