The study was sponsored by Merck Serono International; operational oversight was provided by ZymoGenetics.
NCT00026221
This randomized phase II trial is studying giving bevacizumab together with interferon alpha to see how well it works compared to giving bevacizumab alone in treating patients with metastatic malignant melanoma. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or deliver cancer-killing substances to them. Interferon alpha may interfere with the growth of the cancer cells and slow the growth of the tumor. Combining bevacizumab with interferon alpha may kill more tumor cells.
NCT01082549
To evaluate the overall survival (OS) of patients with advanced squamous cell lung cancer receiving the combination of gemcitabine/carboplatin either with or without Iniparib. Based on data generated by BiPar/Sanofi, it is concluded that iniparib does not possess characteristics typical of the PARP inhibitor class. The exact mechanism has not yet been fully elucidated, however based on experiments on tumor cells performed in the laboratory, iniparib is a novel investigational anti-cancer agent that induces gamma-H2AX (a marker of DNA damage) in tumor cell lines, induces cell cycle arrest in the G2/M phase in tumor cell lines, and potentiates the cell cycle effects of DNA damaging modalities in tumor cell lines. Investigations into potential targets of iniparib and its metabolites are ongoing.
NCT00024167
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radioactive substances such as strontium-89 may relieve bone pain associated with prostate cancer. It is not yet known whether chemotherapy is more effective with or without strontium-89 in treating bone metastases. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying giving chemotherapy together with strontium-89 to see how well it works compared to chemotherapy alone in treating patients with prostate cancer that has spread to the bone.
NCT00580216
The objective is to evaluate whether once weekly subcutaneous (SC) injection of idrabiotaparinux sodium (biotinylated idraparinux) is at least as efficient to prevent clots in brain and in the other organs than oral international normalized ratio (INR) adjusted-dose warfarin in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF).
NCT01403636
Primary Objective: \- To evaluate the efficacy of SAR245409 as determined by the objective response rate (ORR) in patients with 1 of following relapsed or refractory lymphoma or leukemia subtypes: mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), follicular lymphoma (FL), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)/small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL), or diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) Secondary Objectives: * To assess duration of response, progression free survival (PFS), and proportion of patients with PFS at 6 months (24 weeks) in patients with either MCL, FL, CLL/SLL or DLBCL treated with SAR245409 * To evaluate the safety and tolerability of SAR245409 in patients with MCL, FL, CLL/SLL or DLBCL * To further characterize the plasma pharmacokinetics (PK) of SAR245409 in patients with MCL, FL, CLL/SLL or DLBCL
NCT01677182
To evaluate the efficacy of ramelteon for treatment of acute depressive episodes associated with Bipolar 1 Disorder.
NCT02255123
This study is a multicenter, non-randomized, retrospective study to collect long term (4 years post-transplant) clinical outcome data on subjects previously enrolled in the CTOT-05 study (NCT00466804) to evaluate participant and graft survival.
NCT02228850
The purpose of this study is to evaluate pharmacodynamics (PD) in adult subjects with a diagnosis of Raynaud's Phenomenon secondary to Systemic Sclerosis (SSc).
NCT02067793
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of NRX-1074 following a single intravenous dose in subjects with major depressive disorder.
NCT01577381
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy, safety and tolerability of multiple doses of RN6G in subjects with Geographic Atrophy Secondary to Age-related Macular Degeneration.
NCT00583492
This is a randomized, controlled trial that will test the hypothesis that replication-competent adenovirus-mediated suicide gene therapy in combination with 80 Gy intensity modulated radiotherapy (IRMT)will improve freedom from failure (FFF) relative to 80 Gy IMRT alone in patients with newly-diagnosed prostate cancer with an intermediate-risk profile.
NCT01173497
The purpose of the study is to investigate the response rate for triple negative breast cancer patients with brain metastasis when INIPARIB is used in combination with irinotecan.
NCT01684163
GLYX-13 is a NMDA receptor glycine site partial agonist being studied in subjects with major depressive disorder (depression) who have responded inadequately to another antidepressant drug during the current episode. This trial will assess the effects of GLYX-13 on depression when added to another antidepressant drug that the patient is already taking.
NCT00790192
Lurasidone HCl is a compound being developed for the treatment of schizophrenia. This clinical study is designed to test the hypothesis that lurasidone is effective, tolerable, and safe as compared with quetiapine XR short term among acutely psychotic patients with chronic schizophrenia.
NCT00345618
Objectives are to evaluate whether idrabiotaparinux sodium (SSR126517E) is as least as effective as a standard warfarin treatment to prevent recurrence of venous thromboembolic events (VTE) in patients with symptomatic pulmonary embolism (PE) with or without symptomatic deep venous thrombosis (DVT) and to assess its safety (bleedings) versus warfarin.
NCT00311090
The three purposes of this study are the following: * To compare during a 6-month treatment the safety and effectiveness of idrabiotaparinux (SSR126517) with that of idraparinux (SR34006), taking into account new events of deep venous thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), and bleeding risk; * To compare the activities of idrabiotaparinux and idraparinux directly in blood during and after a 6-month treatment; * To check the ability of avidin (SSR29261) to reverse the blood thinning activity of idrabiotaparinux at the end of a 6-month treatment period.
NCT02356835
This is a 10-week, randomized, controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the APT001 plasma and nitric oxide treatment in subjects with a diabetic foot ulcer.
NCT00507663
This study proposes a prospective randomized study of elders undergoing elective major abdominal surgery to assess recovery following a unique anesthetic regimen incorporating a adrenergic receptor antagonist. The purposes of this study are to: 1. to determine if using atenolol, a beta-blocker drug commonly used to treat high blood pressure and heart disease, as part of your anesthetic regimen will decrease complications that sometimes occur in elderly patients who are undergoing surgery and being given anesthesia. 2. to see if it improves or quickens your recovery from anesthesia and surgery. 3. to help investigators design better ways to administer anesthesia during surgery, especially in elderly patients, so that the complications and the time to recover from surgery and anesthesia can be decreased.
