NCT06303778
One in 10 Veterans have an alcohol use disorder. However, few Veterans receive evidenced-based psychosocial interventions or medications to treat alcohol use disorder. Barriers to receiving these treatments include long wait times, stigma, and long distances from treatment facilities. Even fewer Veterans receive psychosocial and medication interventions together, despite clinical practice guidelines recommending both and evidence of better outcomes. Expanding access to these treatments in primary care is a VA priority but delivering psychosocial interventions is difficult in this setting, and medication is often the only option. Smartphone apps that deliver alcohol interventions may improve drinking outcomes and ensure Veterans can receive both treatments in primary care. This study will determine whether medications and an app for alcohol use problems offered to Veterans in primary care results in improved drinking outcomes, compared to Veterans receiving medications only. Study data will inform how to spread the app across the VA nationally.
NCT05047068
The objective of this post-approval registry is to provide additional real-world evidence of the performance of the OCS Heart System to preserve DBD and DCD donor hearts.
NCT03694002
This randomized phase II trial studies how well carboplatin and paclitaxel with or without ramucirumab work in treating patients with thymic cancer that has spread to other places in the body, has come back, or cannot be removed by surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Monoclonal antibodies, such as ramucirumab, may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. It is not yet known if giving carboplatin and paclitaxel with or without ramucirumab will work better in treating patients with thymic cancer.
NCT04229017
This study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a device called "Posterior Cervical Stabilization System or PCSS" when used along with posterior cervical fusion (PCF) in combination with anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) in the treatment of multi-level cervical degenerative disease.
NCT04329728
This is an open-label, Phase 1/2 study designed to characterize the safety, tolerability, Pharmacokinetics(PK), and preliminary antitumor activity of AVM0703 administered as a single intravenous (IV) infusion to patients with lymphoid malignancies.
NCT05103332
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of zilebesiran on systolic and diastolic blood pressure and to characterize the pharmacodynamic (PD) effects and safety of zilebesiran as add-on therapy.
NCT06488911
An Open Label Long-Term Study to Evaluate the Safety and Tolerability of the Fixed-Dose Combination (FDC) of Obeticholic Acid (OCA) and Bezafibrate (BZF) tablet in Subjects with Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC).
NCT06116916
The purpose of this study is to evaluate efficacy and safety of KHK4951 eye drops in patients with DME.
NCT05680818
The primary purpose of the study is to understand the effectiveness, safety, and tolerability of encaleret when compared to standard of care (SoC) treatment in participants with Autosomal Dominant Hypocalcemia Type 1 (ADH1).
NCT04704336
This study evaluates a tailored-practice facilitation (PF) strategy for integrating a task strengthening strategy for hypertension control (TASSH) for the care of patients living with HIV (PWH) within primary health centers (PHCs) in Lagos, Nigeria.
NCT05651620
The purpose of the CALERIE Legacy Study is to follow up on the health and wellness of participants from phase 2 of the Comprehensive Assessment of Long-term Effects of Reducing Intake of Energy (CALERIE) trial, which was conducted from 2007 to 2011.
NCT04220866
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of intratumoral (IT) ulevostinag PLUS pembrolizumab (MK-3475) compared to pembrolizumab alone as a first line treatment of adults with metastatic or unresectable, recurrent head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). The primary study hypotheses are that IT ulevostinag in combination with pembrolizumab results in a superior Objective Response Rate (ORR), per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors Version 1.1 (RECIST 1.1), compared to pembrolizumab alone: 1. In participants with a tumor that has a programmed cell death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) Combined Positive Scoring (CPS) ≥ 1, and 2. In participants with a tumor that has a PD-L1 CPS ≥ 20.
NCT07211997
The primary objective of this study is to determine performance characteristics of the FebriDx® test in differentiating bacterial from non-bacterial etiology among febrile pediatric patients (2-11 years) presenting to the emergency department, urgent care center or primary care office with a suspected acute respiratory tract infection.
NCT06792539
The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Polymotion Hip Resurfacing (PHR) System compared to total hip arthroplasty, for adults who require hip resurfacing arthroplasty due to 1) non-inflammatory arthritis (degenerative joint disease) such as osteoarthritis, traumatic arthritis, or 2) mild dysplasia/developmental dislocation of the hip (DDH) up to Crowe Grade 1.
NCT05096403
The purpose of the study is to determine the efficacy of pegcetacoplan administration compared to placebo in increasing hemoglobin (Hgb) level from baseline and avoiding transfusion in participants with primary cold agglutinin disease (CAD).
NCT04875195
The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the objective response rate (ORR), by cohort, rrcHL and rrPMBCL, as assessed by the investigator according to Lugano classification criteria 2014 in participants treated with pembrolizumab every six weeks (Q6W).
NCT06274047
1. Personalize treatment for prostate cancer based on how aggressive the disease is and 2. Learn if apalutamide-based treatment can help to reduce fatigue and other side effects of treatment in participants who are being treated with radiation therapy for prostate cancer, as compared to standard therapy.
NCT01182766
This research study aims to test whether topiramate (a drug that is being used for seizure) will help individuals who have problems with both alcohol and nicotine. The investigators believe that individuals taking topiramate will be more successful at abstaining from both alcohol and nicotine than individuals taking placebo.
