NCT01709214
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of GRT6005 compared to placebo in patients with moderate to severe chronic pain due to osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee. This study includes a maximum 21 day Screening Period followed by a 15-week Double-blind Treatment Period and a 4-7 day Safety Follow-up period. Patients who are eligible for the Double-blind Treatment Period will be randomized to one of following treatment groups: GRT6005 high-dose range (400, 600 or 800 mcg), GRT6005 low-dose range (200, 300 or 400 mcg), oxycodone controlled release (CR) dose range (10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 mg) or placebo.
NCT03756285
A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group, multicentre study in patients with Heart Failure with preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF). The study will be conducted at approximately 15 sites in 5 countries. Approximately 96 patients will be randomized to AZD4831 or placebo (treatment duration 90 days).
NCT02059057
Crossover study for patients who were randomized to the Control Group in CLN0009 (NCT01608490).
NCT03510897
This trial is designed to evaluate QPI-1002 versus placebo for the prevention of Major Adverse Kidney Events (MAKE) in subjects at high risk for acute kidney injury following cardiac surgery. Half of the participants will receive QPI-1002 while the other half will receive placebo.
NCT04058548
The aim of this study is to assess whether the 1 minute Sit to Stand (STS) test can be used as a measure of submaximal endurance during a pulmonary exacerbation of Cystic Fibrosis (CF) for patients in the acute care setting. We hypothesize that if the STS test is a valid measure of submaximal cardiovascular endurance, it will moderately correlate with 6 minute walk distance (6MWD).
NCT03987074
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of study drug(s) in participants with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
NCT03028363
The objectives of this study are to assess the safety and efficacy of Olumacostat Glasaretil Gel compared to vehicle in patients with acne vulgaris
NCT02346240
The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of two dose levels of certolizumab pegol compared to active comparator and placebo in adults with moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis.
NCT04010656
Trial of void (TOV) is a diagnostic test performed on all women who undergo prolapse repair or incontinence surgery, due to the importance of diagnosing postoperative urinary retention (POUR). Incidence of POUR may be as high as 62% in some studies. Timely and accurate diagnosis is important to avoid complications such as urinary tract infection, bladder overdistension, and permanent bladder injury. Despite the frequent use of TOV, there is no gold standard for the test, and it likely has poor specificity, leading to discharge of more patients with catheter than required. This prospective cohort study will seek to establish evidence-based optimal parameters for spontaneous trial of void, a TOV modality that has merit for further evaluation given lower theoretical risk of urinary tract infection.
NCT01957787
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of cryoablation therapy used to treat tumors in participants with pulmonary metastatic disease. This study is to enroll participants who will undergo cryoablation of at least 1 metastatic pulmonary tumor that is less than or equal to 3.5 centimeter (cm). Participants will be followed 24 months post their cryoablation procedure.
NCT02771509
The objective of the study is to assess the safety and efficacy of ANG-3777 in preventing AKI compared to placebo when administered to patients at risk for developing acute kidney injury (AKI) following cardiac surgical procedures involving cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB).
NCT03610048
This study will assess the long-term safety and tolerability of ALKS 5461 as an adjunctive treatment for refractory MDD.
NCT02159521
To evaluate the efficacy of ultrasound accelerated thrombolysis using the EkoSonic® Endovascular System with standard infusion of thrombolytic drug for post-thrombotic syndrome from chronic venous occlusion.
NCT03474081
COPD is a progressive disease characterized by increasing obstruction to airflow and the progressive development of respiratory symptoms including chronic cough, increased sputum production, dyspnea and wheezing. Once-daily triple therapy of an Inhaled Corticosteroid/ Long-acting Muscarinic Receptor Antagonists/ Long Acting Beta-Agonist (ICS/LAMA/LABA) that is combination of FF/UMEC/VI in a single device is being developed with the aim of providing a new treatment option for the management of advanced COPD. The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate lung function and health related quality of life (HRQoL) after 84 days of treatment with a single inhaler triple therapy combination of FF/ UMEC/VI once daily via the ELLIPTA® dry powder inhaler (DPI) compared with tiotropium once daily via HANDIHALER®, in subjects with COPD. Subjects will be randomized 1:1 to receive FF/UMEC/VI or tiotropium in the morning for 84 days. Subjects will also receive albuterol/salbutamol as a rescue therapy throughout the study. Approximately 848 subjects with advanced COPD will be enrolled in the study. The total study duration will be approximately 17 weeks including, 4-week run-in period, 12-week treatment period and a 1-week follow-up period. ELLIPTA is a registered trademark of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) group of companies. HANDIHALER and RESPIMAT are registered trademarks of Boeringher Ingelheim.
NCT02006472
This is a multicenter, multinational, randomized, parallel-group, double-blind, placebo-controlled, dose range finding study to compare the efficacy and safety of different doses of pridopidine versus placebo in the treatment of motor impairment in Huntington's Disease (HD).
NCT00449761
This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of LBH589B in adult patients with chronic myeloid leukemia who are in accelerated phase or blast phase (blast crisis) with resistant disease following treatment with at least two BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase inhibitors
NCT03802916
Safety, tolerability, and acceptability of twice-daily dosing with deferiprone delayed-release (DR) tablets in patients with systemic iron overload.
NCT01939366
The purpose of this trial is to evaluate if cebranopadol is safe and can decrease pain in patients when compared to placebo (a tablet that does not contain active product) and when compared to a marketed product containing pregabalin (Lyrica®). Furthermore, this trial will be undertaken to find out if the patient's general health and well-being improves under trial treatment. The concentrations of cebranopadol in the blood will be investigated to get a better understanding of how it is absorbed from the gut, distributed and broken down in the body, and eliminated from the body.
NCT03823391
This study will assess the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of ABBV-3373 in participants with moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) on background methotrexate (MTX) compared with adalimumab.
NCT04967976
This is the first prospective randomized and controlled study on the efficacy and safety of TiLOOP® Bra mesh in patients with expander-implant breast reconstruction. The investigators hypothesize that incoporating TiLOOP Bra mesh with tissue expanders will reduce the rates of capsular contraction, improve the efficiency of expansion and provide better aesthetic result.
