NCT02384941
This Phase 3 study was intended to demonstrate superiority of either sotagliflozin high dose or low dose versus placebo on glycosylated hemoglobin A1C (A1C) reduction at Week 24 when used as an adjunct in adult participants with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D) who have inadequate glycemic control with insulin therapy.
NCT01742208
This Phase 2 study was intended to assess the pharmacodynamics (PD), pharmacokinetics (PK), safety and efficacy of sotagliflozin following daily oral administration for 29 days in participants with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM).
NCT01781975
Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) results from the autoimmune destruction of insulin-producing ß cells. Although exogenous insulin is widely available, it is not possible for affected individuals to consistently achieve euglycemia with current technology, and thus they are at risk for devastating long-term complications. This phase II study is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of imatinib mesylate as a novel therapy for new-onset T1DM. Imatinib is a first-in-class tyrosine kinase inhibitor. This study will explore the potential role of short-term therapy with imatinib to induce tolerance and possibly lead to a durable long-term remission of T1DM.
NCT01298219
The primary purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of lubiprostone administration in subjects with Opioid-induced Bowel Dysfunction.
NCT02694328
This study will evaluate weight gain of ALKS 3831 compared to olanzapine in adult subjects with schizophrenia.
NCT00056459
To compare treatment with oxaliplatin/5-FU/leucovorin plus vatalanib versus oxaliplatin/5-FU/leucovorin plus placebo in patients with colorectal cancer that has spread to other organs and are seeking first chemotherapy treatment
NCT02414165
This is a multicenter, randomized, open-label phase 2/3 study of Toca 511 and Toca FC versus standard of care that comprises Investigator's choice of single agent chemotherapy (lomustine or temozolomide) or bevacizumab administered to subjects undergoing resection for first or second recurrence (including this recurrence) of GBM or AA. Subjects meeting all of the inclusion and none of the exclusion criteria will be randomized prior to surgery in a 1:1 ratio to receive either Toca 511 and Toca FC (Experimental arm, Arm T) or control treatment with one option of standard of care (Arm SOC). Stratification will be done by IDH1 mutation status. A second stratification factor is based on the patient's Karnofsky Performance Score (KPS) (70-80 vs 90-100). Further, to account for potential differences in treatment choices for the control arm in regions, the trial will be stratified by geographical region during the randomization process. NCT03125460
The objective of this study is to establish the performance characteristics of an assay that detects the recurrence of bladder cancer in patients previously diagnosed with bladder cancer. The study is conducted at locations within and outside of the United States. Testing is performed on urine specimens provided by eligible enrolled patients. Results from this study will not be used for patient management decisions.
NCT03392389
This clinical study will assess the safety, reactogenicity and immunogenicity of mRNA-1653, a combined human metapneumovirus and human parainfluenza virus type 3 vaccine in healthy adults.
NCT02239276
This is an expanded access use of Stiripentol in Dravet Syndrome or epileptic encephalopathies associated with sodium channel mutations who have failed other drugs in an effort to give them the best chance at seizure control and quality of life. As a treatment protocol and not a research study, children will only be monitored on a clinical basis for seizure improvement and side effects predominantly by parent and caregiver report.
NCT00847002
This is a study to compare the healing process of venous stasis ulcers when the Flexitouch® system is added to the standard treatment of venous ulcers. We hypothesize that adding the Flexitouch® system to standard venous ulcer treatment will result in 1. greater complete healing 2. greater percentage reduction in ulcer area 3. reduced time to complete healing, as compared to the use of standard treatment alone 4. a greater reduction in affected leg volume as compared to standard treatment alone.
NCT02989415
The aim of this study is to assess the incidence of postoperative pulmonary complications in patients undergoing mechanical ventilation during general anesthesia for robotic surgery, to characterize current practices of mechanical ventilation and to evaluate a possible association between ventilatory parameters and postoperative pulmonary complications.
NCT03267940
The study is being conducted to assess the safety and tolerability of (1) PEGPH20 in combination with CIS and GEM (PEGCISGEM), and (2) PEGPH20 in combination with CIS, GEM, and atezolizumab (PEGCISGEMATEZO) compared with (3) cisplatin and gemcitabine (CISGEM).
NCT03100058
This was a dose-finding study that evaluated the change in weight after 24 weeks treatment with 8 different doses of LIK066 compared to placebo in obese or overweight adults, followed by 24 weeks treatment with 2 doses of LIK066 and placebo.
NCT03306420
This is a Phase I, open-label study to determine the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetic (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), and preliminary antitumor activity of MS201408-0005A as single agent (Part IA only) and in combination with MS201408-0005C or MS201408-0005B (Part IB, Part IC).
NCT02459899
The primary objective of this study was to define the dose leading to desirable efficacy, as measured by the change in hemoglobin A1C (A1C) between Baseline and Week 12.
NCT01067781
The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the safety and immune responses following a two vaccination regimen by transcutaneous immunization with heat-labile enterotoxin of E. coli (LT) patches or Placebo, with or without alcohol swabbing
NCT01791153
This multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of tocilizumab in participants with GCA. The study will consist of 2 parts: a 52-week double-blind treatment period (Part 1) followed by a 104-week open label long-term follow-up period (Part 2). In Part 1 of the study eligible participants will be randomized to receive either tocilizumab every week (qw) or every 2 weeks (q2w) or placebo for 52 weeks, with tapering oral daily doses of prednisone. After Week 52, participants in remission will stop study treatment and enter long-term follow-up, whereas participants with disease activity or flares will receive open-label tocilizumab or other treatment at the discretion of the investigator for a maximum period of 104 weeks.
NCT01978912
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and exploratory efficacy of KTP-001 in subjects with lumbar disc herniation.
NCT02429167
The purpose of this study is to determine if clinic and home training with a study device will improve a balance deficit. The study device is called Portable Neuromodulation Stimulator (PoNS). The study device will be placed on the tongue to deliver nerve stimulation. The study is testing if use of the study device in conjunction with physical therapy will improve balance and gait in patients suffering from a TBI. The effects of using the device and undergoing therapy will be measured using standardized tests of movement control, gait, headache and other TBI symptoms.
