NCT02117024
Determine whether viagenpumatucel-L combined with low-dose cyclophosphamide prolongs survival in patients with NSCLC who failed 2 or 3 prior lines of therapy for incurable or metastatic disease compared with chemotherapy alone.
NCT02117349
The purpose of the study is to determine if Raplixa plus Gelfoam is better than Gelfoam alone in stopping mild to moderate bleeding in children having surgery.
NCT02119156
This study will assess the effect of a 24-week withdrawal followed by a 28-week reintroduction of belimumab 10 mg/kg plus standard of care medications in subjects with stable low systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) disease activity. Rebound phenomenon will be assessed for subjects who have permanently withdrawn from further belimumab treatment.
NCT01038557
The purpose of this study is to look at red blood cell (RBC) transfusions in trauma patients and evaluate for any differences between the age of the RBCs and how they were stored. The investigators will specifically look for the following differences between study groups: 1. the transfused red blood cells' ability to delivery oxygen to the tissues 2. differences in biochemical markers in subjects and units transfused, and 3. how the subject's internal organs are working and if they develop any infections
NCT02239276
This is an expanded access use of Stiripentol in Dravet Syndrome or epileptic encephalopathies associated with sodium channel mutations who have failed other drugs in an effort to give them the best chance at seizure control and quality of life. As a treatment protocol and not a research study, children will only be monitored on a clinical basis for seizure improvement and side effects predominantly by parent and caregiver report.
NCT01097330
Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICDs) provide a shock or pacing therapy to bring back a normal heart beat when a patient experiences a dangerous abnormal heart rhythm such as ventricular tachycardia (VT). ICDs are very successful in bringing back a normal heart beat when VT occurs, but they do not prevent further dangerous heart rhythms from occurring. This study is designed to determine the best way to manage patients who have an ICD and who continue to have episodes of VT. There are two methods for treatment the VT: 1) Ablation, and 2) Medication. An ablation procedure involves placing a flexible catheter (insulated wire) in the groin area and threading it into the heart. After the doctor has located the affected area responsible for the VT, radiofrequency energy is delivered by the power generator through the catheter to the inside of the heart. The radiofrequency energy ablates (burns) a small area of the heart tissue thought to cause the VT. A medication called Amiodarone is an "anti-arrhythmic" prescribed to prevent abnormal heart rhythms from recurring. The purpose of this study is to compare these two different methods for treating VT. Treatment with ablation and amiodarone are both considered the standard of care for patients with VT but they have not been compared directly in a study like this before.
NCT02457819
This is an open label 26 week extension study for subjects who completed SEP360-202.
NCT02508948
In order to examine the current endotracheal intubation practice among critically ill patients, a prospective observational multicenter study of adult critically ill patients was conducted from July 2015 to January 2017 involving 20 ICUs. In this study, the primary aim was to describe, through a prospective observational multicenter study, the current intubation practice of adult critically ill patients undergoing endotracheal intubations with a focus on deriving and validating a prediction model for both immediate airway and hemodynamic complications.
NCT02605915
This is a Phase Ib, open-label, two-stage study with two active regimens in each stage designed to evaluate the safety and tolerability of combination treatment with atezolizumab, trastuzumab, and pertuzumab (with and without docetaxel) or atezolizumab and trastuzumab emtansine in participants with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) positive metastatic breast cancer (MBC) and locally advanced early breast cancer (EBC), and atezolizumab with doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide in HER2-negative breast cancer.
NCT03633526
This study will evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK), safety, tolerability, efficacy, and pharmacodynamic effect of VX-659, tezacaftor (TEZ), and ivacaftor (IVA) when dosed in triple combination (TC) in Cystic Fibrosis (CF) subjects with F/F or F/MF genotypes. The study was discontinued after completion of Part A due to Sponsor's discretion.
NCT02210689
A multi-center, double-blind, randomized, placebo controlled, parallel-group study, comparing Clindamycin phosphate vaginal cream 2% (Watson Laboratories, Inc.) to Clindesse® (Ther-Rx™, Clindamyin Phosphate Vaginal Cream 2%) and both active treatments to a placebo control in the treatment of bacterial vaginosis in non-pregnant women.
NCT03337477
The study is designed to determine if ZS 10g administered up to three times over 10h added to insulin and glucose in patients presenting with hyperkalemia will prove tolerable and efficacious. Patients will receive ZS or Placebo on top of standard of care treatment with insulin and glucose.
NCT01292655
The purpose of this study is to identify a safe and tolerable dose of BMS-906024 in subjects with advanced or metastatic solid tumors who no longer respond to or have relapsed from standard therapies.
NCT02043574
Strokes are very common in the United States and occur more in the elderly. The number of strokes is likely to double in the next 50 years. Many stroke survivors are sedentary and have a poor dietary intake, which results in abnormalities in fuel utilization (eg carbohydrate versus fat). This study will examine the effects of dietary modification and treadmill training on fuel utilization and physical function. We will study skeletal muscle oxidative stress in chronic stroke patients and the ability to employ dietary modification and exercise training to reverse these abnormalities in this ethnically diverse population.
NCT00754013
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy and safety of donepezil hydrochloride (Aricept) in the treatment of cognitive dysfunction shown by children with Down syndrome, aged 6 to 10 years.
NCT03021824
An assessment of early management of moderate-severe ARDS in the United States, including ventilator management and use of rescue therapy.
NCT03616756
The purpose of this pilot study is to test the feasibility and outcomes of a supportive group-based intervention, Authentic Connections, to be used for nurse leaders at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, in a collaboration involving faculty at Arizona State University (ASU) Department of Psychology, Dr. Sunyia Luthar.
NCT02848729
Morphine is the opioid used to treat pain after surgery. Acetaminophen (called APAP) can reduce the amount of opioids needed for this. The problem is that morphine slows down digestion. That can delay pain relief from APAP pills. It can even change what the body does to the drug \[pharmacokinetics (PK)\]. Some doctors have started using intravenous (IV) APAP with morphine, instead of the pills. This study will measure the PK of APAP pills and IV when used with morphine in healthy volunteers. IV APAP will likely be more effective and cause fewer side effects when used with morphine to treat pain after surgery.
NCT00656305
A Pivotal Study to Evaluate the Effectiveness and Safety of ExAblate Treatment of Metastatic Bone and Multiple Myeloma Tumors for the Palliation of Pain in Patients Who are not Candidates for Radiation Therapy
NCT02377349
The purpose of this study is to assess the immunogenicity and safety of Boostrix™ when compared to a placebo given during 27-36 weeks of gestation in healthy women aged 18-45 years. Infants born to mothers enrolled in this study will be followed-up in two separate clinical studies: 201330 \[DTPA (BOOSTRIX)-048 PRI\] and 201334 \[DTPA (BOOSTRIX)-049 BST: 048\].
