This phase II trial studies how well cabozantinib s-malate, crizotinib, savolitinib, or sunitinib malate work in treating patients with kidney cancer that has spread from where it started to nearby tissue or lymph nodes or to other places in the body. Cabozantinib s-malate, crizotinib, savolitinib, and sunitinib malate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. It is not yet known whether giving cabozantinib s-malate, crizotinib, or savolitinib will work better in treating patients with kidney cancer compared to sunitinib malate.

This phase III trial is studying the side effects and how well giving combination chemotherapy together with autologous stem cell transplant and/or radiation therapy works in treating young patients with extraocular retinoblastoma. Giving chemotherapy before an autologous stem cell transplant stops the growth of tumor cells by stopping them from dividing or killing them. After treatment, stem cells are collected from the patient's blood and/or bone marrow and stored. More chemotherapy is given to prepare the bone marrow for the stem cell transplant. The stem cells are then returned to the patient to replace the blood-forming cells that were destroyed by the chemotherapy. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Giving radiation therapy after combination chemotherapy and/or autologous stem cell transplant may kill any remaining tumor cells.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by significant memory loss, toxic protein deposits (amyloid and tau) in the brain, and changes in the gamma frequency band on EEG. Gamma waves are important for memory, and in patients with AD, there are fewer gamma waves in the brain. The Tsai lab found that boosting gamma waves in AD mouse models using light and sound stimulation at 40Hz not only reduced amyloid and tau in the brain, but also improved memory. A light and sound device was developed for humans that stimulates the brain at 40Hz that can be used safely at home. The goal of this study is to see if using this device can prevent dementia in people who are at risk for developing Alzheimer's disease.

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of adavosertib when given together with radiation therapy and temozolomide in treating patients with glioblastoma that is newly diagnosed or has come back. Adavosertib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as temozolomide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving adavosertib, radiation therapy, and temozolomide may work better in treating patients with newly diagnosed or recurrent glioblastoma compared to radiation therapy and temozolomide alone.

This is a pivotal, prospective, multi-center, randomized, concurrent control, patient and assessor-blinded study with two arms: a treatment arm (where subjects will be treated with the EP Granules with Tobramycin investigational device in the 1st stage of a staged revision for periprosthetic joint infection (PJIs), and a control arm (where subjects are treated with the standard-of-care revision for infected PJIs).

Subjects meeting the inclusion/exclusion criteria will wear the µCor for at least 90 days. During the study, clinic follow up will occur every 30 days. For all subjects, each scheduled clinic visit will include assessment of cardiac symptoms and any relevant clinically actionable events. The subject will be given a daily diary to track symptoms, unplanned hospital visits, medication changes, and all other heart failure related clinical events. Weekly phone calls to the subject will be given throughout the duration of the study to remind the patient to use the subject diary and to collect and record heart failure related clinical events. Subjects will be contacted six months and one year from initial enrollment to assess the vital status of the subject, any heart failure related clinical events since the end of µCor wear, and any health care utilization since the end of µCor wear.

The investigators' approach is to conduct a pilot double-blind, placebo-controlled randomized clinical trial with individuals with alcohol use disorder (AUD) seeking inpatient alcohol detoxification in the emergency department (ED) to receive either intravenous ketamine or saline placebo. The primary aim is to evaluate the intervention's safety. The secondary aim is to evaluate the preliminary efficacy of alcohol-related outcomes.

In summary, subjects will be asked to wear a number of sensors and use different ankle-foot prostheses in place of their customary prosthesis. Data will be collected from the wearable sensors, VICON motion capture system, video cameras, and force sensors in the ground as they walk on level-ground, on a treadmill, and on stairs. The controller of any powered prosthesis will be electronically adjusted between trials or while the subject walks to determine how their gait changes in response to these changes. Trials will also be conducted with a standard passive prosthesis that would be prescribed for a person of similar height and weight.

The main aim is to evaluate the effect of TAK-861 on symptoms of narcolepsy, including excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) as measured by sleep latency from the Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT). The study will enroll approximately 60 participants and they will be randomly assigned to 3 groups (20 per group) to take one of two different doses of TAK-861 or a placebo. All the participants will receive the treatment for 8 weeks. Participants will be asked to complete some questionnaires during the study. This trial will be conducted in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

This is a study for adults (18-75 years) who have successfully completed treatment either with Dupilumab or with Upadacitinib in the study M16-046. At the end of M16-046, they have the option to receive Upadacitinib with a duration of 52 weeks beyond the timeframe of Study M16-046. There will be a 30 day follow-up visit after the treatment period is completed. Main objective of this study is to assess long-term safety, tolerability and efficacy of upadacitinib in participants with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis who successfully completed treatment in the study M16-046.

This is a pilot study to be performed at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and the University of Massachusetts to determine the feasibility and develop the processes for a future randomized controlled trial to evaluate the occurrence of spinal cord ischemia after endovascular thoracoabdominal aneurysm repair using prophylactic cerebrospinal fluid drains versus no pre-emptive drain. The research question to be addressed is as follows: In the setting of a comprehensive spinal cord ischemia prevention protocol, do prophylactic CSF drains decrease the rate of spinal cord ischemia (SCI) in patients undergoing endovascular thoracoabdominal aneurysm repair?

This study will (1) recruit, train and provide resources to approximately 30 Emergency Department (ED) sites throughout the U.S. using implementation facilitation strategies to provide ED-initiated buprenorphine (BUP) for patients presenting with opioid use disorder (OUD) who are not receiving medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD). Once implementation is adequately achieved, the sites will (2) conduct a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to compare the effectiveness of sublingual buprenorphine (SL-BUP) versus extended-release buprenorphine (XR-BUP) on ED patients' engagement in formal addiction treatment 7-days after their ED visit. In addition, in an ancillary component of the study, the investigators will (3) assess the use of XR-BUP in ED patients with Clinical Opioid Withdrawal Scale (COWS) scores \< 8 in a case series to potentially expand the eligibility of patients in the larger RCT to those presenting with little to no opioid withdrawal symptoms. Finally, the investigators will (4) develop and validate ED electronic health record (EHR) opioid-related phenotypes, both of which will inform the main RCT.

The intervention, if effective, may be an efficient and cost-effective alcohol reduction strategy, that is scalable and can be readily disseminated and integrated in clinical care at other AIDS Centres in Russia to enhance women's health and reduce HIV/HCV transmission risk.
