This randomized phase III trial studies how well caspofungin acetate works compared to fluconazole or voriconazole in preventing fungal infections in patients following donor stem cell transplant. Caspofungin acetate, fluconazole, and voriconazole may be effective in preventing fungal infections in patients following donor stem cell transplant. It is not yet known whether caspofungin acetate is more effective than fluconazole or voriconazole in preventing fungal infections in patients following donor stem cell transplant.

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of onalespib when given together with dabrafenib and trametinib in treating patients with BRAF-mutant melanoma or solid tumors that have spread to another place in the body (metastatic) or cannot be removed by surgery. Onalespib, dabrafenib, and trametinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

This research study will evaluate the administration of a particle called macro-aggregated albumin (MAA) labelled with the radiotracer technetium 99m (Tc99m) as a proxy to estimate the anticipated dose of radiation to tumor and adjacent structures. Administration of this labeled MAA will not have a therapeutic benefit on the participant's cancer. Administration will help researchers determine if arterial administration of radiation may be feasible for lung cancer in the future.

This research study is being conducted to determine the safety and tolerability of subconjunctival injections of aflibercept in the treatment of pseudophakic cystoid macular edema that has not responded well to first-line standard of care treatment (eye drops). Pseudophakic cystoid macular edema (CME) is swelling of the retina that can occur weeks or years after cataract surgery and typically results in decreased vision. Subconjunctival injections are injections placed just beneath the clear membrane (conjunctiva) of the eye. A recent report of one patient who received two subconjunctival injections of a similar medication to the one being studied here indicated that subconjunctival injections of this class of medication may be an effective and less invasive alternative to intravitreal injections for pseudophakic CME. Because of the similarity of the drugs and the patient's treatment success, we would like to see if subconjunctival injection(s) of aflibercept will work in treating pseudophakic CME. If successful, the risk of an intraocular infection and glaucoma that comes with standard of care treatments might be greatly reduced.

IMPAHCT-FUL: Inhaled Imatinib Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Clinical Trial - Follow Up Long Term Extension (LTE) Trial was a follow up study to establish the long-term safety of AV-101. Subjects who successfully completed the 24-week placebo-controlled parent trial (AV-101-002, NCT#05036135) were offered the opportunity to continue into this LTE study. Subjects who enrolled in the study were to receive one of three active AV-101 doses until such time as the optimal dose was selected in the parent study.

We are conducting a research study at the VA hospital in Bedford, MA to learn more about how a multisensor rapid health assessment device, MouthLab, can help predict or anticipate future health complications in patients with underline conditions after contracting COVID-19. The device was created by a health technology and digital medicine company called Aidar Health, Inc. MouthLab is a non-invasive, hand-held device that works like a breathalyzer. An individual breathes into the device for 60 seconds and the MouthLab gathers more than 10 vital health parameters like temperature, heart rate, SpO2, ECG, and basic lung functions. Participation in the study will last for 6 months, and the purpose is to gather health information from people who have been previously hospitalized with COVID-19. We will use the data to develop an algorithm that predicts future complications of COVID-19, especially among patients with complex conditions (i.e., heart failure, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, hypertension, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), and enables early intervention.

This study investigates a novel approach to animal-assisted interventions through a series of wildlife immersion activities (wildlife observation, wildlife rehabilitation and bird feeding/watching) for veterans who have suffered trauma as part of their military duty. Findings from this study will advance scientific knowledge about the benefits of wildlife activities for veterans with PTSD including the acceptability, feasibility, safety and preliminary influence on physical and mental well-being. The findings will be instrumental in advancing a new area of health intervention research for veterans in settings that are publicly accessible and family-oriented for sustainable, low-cost interventions with potential application in other populations.

This is an international, multi-center, double-blind, placebo-controlled evaluation valganciclovir treatment for up to 54 children (up to 4 years of age) with virologically-confirmed congenital CMV infection and hearing loss. Subject participation will be over a six-month period and study subjects will be stratified according to age. The primary objective is to assess whether a six-week course of oral valganciclovir can stabilize the hearing of children with congenital CMV infection who present with hearing loss.

The purpose of this Phase III study is to assess the efficacy, safety, and immunogenicity of two CoV2 preS dTM-AS03 vaccines (monovalent and bivalent) as part of primary series vaccinations in a multi-stage approach, as well as a booster injection of a CoV2 preS dTM-AS03 vaccine, in adults 18 years of age and older. A total of approximately 21 046 participants are planned to be enrolled (5080 per study intervention group in Stage 1 and 5443 per study intervention group in Stage 2). Initial, double-blind, primary series study design is planned for 365 days post-last Initial injection (ie, approximately 386 days total) for each participant. Based on decisions of the Study Oversight Group, Stage 1 and Stage 2 participants will be invited to participate in an unblinded Crossover / Booster study design with duration as follows: * For participants who initially received vaccine: 12 months post-booster (ie, approximately 18 to 24 months) * For participants who initially received placebo: ≥ 4 months post-last dose of the primary series + 12 months post-booster (ie, approximately 28 to 34 months) * For participants who do not consent to continue in the unblinded Crossover / Booster part of the study, all study procedures will be stopped and participants will be discontinued from the study.
