NCT03776812
This is a Phase 2, open-label, randomized, 3-arm study to evaluate progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with recurrent platinum-resistant ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer treated with intermittent or continuous regimens of relacorilant in combination with nab-paclitaxel compared with patients treated with nab-paclitaxel alone.
NCT03737370
The objective of this study is to determine the maximum safe dose of Ra-223 in combination with fractionated (split doses) docetaxel when given to subjects and to determine the best administering dose. The study will look at side effects that may happen while taking the combination treatment. A total of approximately 18 subjects will take part in the dose escalation part of the study and an additional 25 subjects will participate in the expansion cohort. This study will be conducted across four centers in the United States.
NCT01193075
This is an observational longitudinal study to determine the natural history and genotype-phenotype correlations of disease causing mutations in Charcot Marie Tooth disease (CMT) type 1B (CMT1B), 2A (CMT2A), 4A (CMT4A), and 4C (CMT4C). The investigators will also be determine the capability of the newly developed CMT Pediatric Scale (CMT Peds scale) and the Minimal Dataset to measure impairment and perform longitudinal measurements in patients with multiple forms of CMT over a five year window
NCT01193088
This project includes two projects. One is looking for new genes that cause Charcot Marie Tooth disease (CMT). The other is looking for genes that do not cause CMT, but may modify the symptoms a person has.
NCT06610461
Anesthesia is crucial during upper GI endoscopy in order to improve the procedural conditions for the interventionist, increase the quality of examination and alleviate patient discomfort. However, sedation during endoscopy carries a serious risk of blood oxygen desaturation. This study aims to investigate the hypothesis if the application of high-flow nasal oxygen (HFNO) during high-risk gastroscopy reduces the risk of blood oxygen levels to drop below a defined threshold. Enrolled patients will be randomly assigned to either the control group, receiving standard care during endoscopy, or the intervention group, receiving HFNO therapy during the procedure. Throughout the intervention, vital parameters will be recorded. Care providers will be asked to answer a questionnaire that specifically evaluates the effect of HFNO on patient safety and the procedure.
NCT05284747
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of early treatment with evolocumab plus routine lipid management vs routine lipid management alone when administered in the acute setting to reduce myocardial infarction, ischemic stroke, arterial revascularization, and all-cause death in subjects hospitalized for an acute myocardial infarction (non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction \[NSTEMI\] and ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction \[STEMI\]).
NCT03057054
This randomized phase III trial studies how well Lactobacillus plantarum works in preventing acute graft versus host disease in children undergoing donor stem cell transplant. Lactobacillus plantarum may help prevent the development of gastrointestinal graft versus host disease in children, adolescents, and young adults undergoing donor stem cell transplant.
NCT04635111
A study to evaluate the long-term risk of hepatic failure with TURALIO™ (pexidartinib) and the mechanism of liver injury based upon optional liver biopsy information among patients who received or are receiving TURALIO™ (pexidartinib) and experience hepatotoxicity.
NCT00637689
The purpose of this study is to see if recent guidelines proposed by the National Institutes of Health for the diagnosis, staging, and response assessment of people with chronic GVHD can improve our understanding of this complication. We will accomplish our goals by studying a large number of people with chronic GVHD over several years using information collected from health care providers, patients, laboratory studies and diagnostic tests. Several transplant centers in the United States are collaborating on this project.
NCT02400190
This study will collect rates of local/regional recurrence in select patients who do not receive radiation treatment after lumpectomy surgery. These women must be postmenopausal; have hormone receptor-positive, Her2-negative tumors; have Oncotype-DX RS less than or equal to 18; and plan to receive endocrine therapy. In this way, this study seeks to collect prospective data supporting the idea that this is a population at sufficiently low risk of local/regional recurrence that omission of adjuvant radiation might be a reasonable option.
NCT07208682
Retropubic midurethral slings are a common and effective treatment for stress urine incontinence. The trocar that is attached to the mesh material can hit the bladder which is called a perforation. While there are no known long-term adverse outcomes from trocar-induced bladder perforations, it can prolong operative time and bleeding. At academic institutions, it has been reported that trocar-induced perforations occurs in the range of 14-34% of the time. This study is a randomized controlled trial to see if an intervention can decrease trocar-induced bladder perforation rates. The primary outcome of this study is to measure trocar-induced bladder perforations in subjects undergoing a retropubic midurethral sling. Subjects would be randomized to either receive the hydrodissection in a standardized manner or to not receive it. Secondary outcomes include bothersome urinary symptoms, pain, estimated blood loss during surgery, and voiding trial results
NCT04365374
This trial will be a randomized controlled study comparing the efficacy and safety of intraoperative radiation therapy using GammaTilesTM (GT) versus SRT 3-4 weeks following metastatic tumor resection which is the current standard of care.
NCT04138394
This study aims to show that giving high dose, intravenous vitamin C in addition to standard care to burned critically ill patients will be associated with less organ dysfunction, improved survival and a quicker rate of recovery. In this study, all patients will receive standard care and of the patients will also receive high dose intravenous vitamin C, while the other half of patients will receive placebo.
NCT04058756
The purpose of this study is to continue to assess safety and tolerability, and to allow continued access to study treatment for subjects already receiving spartalizumab as single agent or in combination with other study treatments.
NCT05592938
Breast-conserving surgery followed by re-irradiation with partial breast irradiation (rPBI) has recently been found to be a safe alternative to mastectomy for women who have undergone prior whole breast radiation. By reducing the volume of tissue receiving radiation, rPBI has been associated with less toxicity and improved cosmetic outcomes. For many women with early-stage breast cancer, shorter 1-week (5-fraction) courses of breast radiation (ultra-fractionation) have been found to be equivalent to longer fractionation schedules in the upfront treatment setting. These 1-week schedules are more convenient for patients, with fewer treatments and shorter overall treatment time. The investigators hypothesize that a 1-week ultra-hypofractionated rPBI regimen following breast-conserving surgery (BCS) for local recurrence or new primary breast cancer in the previously irradiated breast (LR) will be associated with acceptable toxicity at 1 year (\<13% grade \>3 toxicity).
NCT05612035
Researchers are looking for ways to treat pulmonary hypertension (PH) caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The goal of the study is to learn if people who take frespaciguat can walk farther in 6 minutes at Week 24 compared to people who take placebo.
