NCT02850146
Approximately 50 participants enrolled in the LEARN study (NCT02488720) will be enrolled in the LEARN-Tau study. The study designed to evaluate the imaging characteristics of 18F-AV-1451 in participants enrolled in the LEARN study and to expand the safety database of 18F-AV-1451. The study will run in parallel to the LEARN study. In this study, participants will undergo up to four (4) 18F-AV-1451 PET scans over a 4.5 year period. Imaging visits will occur at the throughout the participant's participation in the LEARN study (corresponding to LEARN Visit 1, between Visit 4 and 6, Visit 8, and Visit 11). The LEARN-Tau study will (1) look at change in the amount of tau protein in the brain over time, measured by the 18F-AV-1451 PET scan, (2) see if tau protein in the brain of older individuals is associated with memory problems and (3) evaluate the safety of 18F-AV-1451 and any side effects that might be associated with it. Site investigators, participants, and study partners will not be informed of the results of the 18F-AV-1451 PET scan results as they relate to the study; however, any findings that may be of potential medical concern will be provided for appropriate follow-up.
NCT04543409
The aim of this Phase 3 study is to investigate the use of benralizumab as a treatment for patients with EoE. The effect of doses of benralizumab on EoE histologic signs and symptoms will be assessed over a 52-week treatment period (including a 24-week double-blind placebo-controlled treatment period and a 28-week open-label treatment period). It is proposed that benralizumab will deplete eosinophils from GI tissue(s), improve the symptoms of dysphagia, and improve endoscopy scores as well as other markers of disease activity. Upon completion of the initial 52-week treatment period, patients will be offered an additional Open Label Extension period of at least 1 year, with benralizumab treatment and ongoing study assessments.
NCT04005547
Teens with ASD ages 14-19 will be screened for eligibility, complete a baseline interviewer/ACASI-administered survey, and randomly assigned to either intervention or control group. The enrollment goal is 500 teens. The 12-hour intervention will be run in groups of up to 12 teens, with health educators leading the group and actors assisting, role playing with participants, and performing a skit. Teens in the intervention group will take a post satisfaction survey, and teens in both conditions will take a 6-month and 12-month interviewer/ACASI-administered outcome survey. Fidelity will be monitored by observers and rated by health educators.
NCT04258254
In this study, the investigators will compare effects of two types of 8-weeklong interventions: a) multimodal or b) general movement to facilitate social communication and motor skills of school-age children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Recently, the investigators have identified cortical dysfunction patterns as markers of imitation/interpersonal synchrony difficulties in children with ASD using functional near-infrared spectroscopy. In this project, the investigators want to validate whether cortical markers can determine treatment responders and if such markers are sensitive to training-related changes. Following training, the investigators expect to see a variety of behavioral and neural changes in both groups. If the study aims are achieved, the investigators will validate the use of cortical markers as a treatment response measure. This research will build evidence for the use of various movement interventions for school-age children with ASD.
NCT02557321
This is an international multicenter, open-label, sequential phase study of intralesional (IL) PV-10 in combination with immune checkpoint inhibition. Metastatic melanoma patients (Stage IV or Stage III unresectable, in-transit or satellite disease) with at least one injectable lesion who are candidates for pembrolizumab (both treatment naïve patients and treatment refractory patients who have failed to achieve a complete or partial response to or previously progressed on one or more checkpoint inhibitor) will be eligible for study participation. In the Phase 1b portion of the study, all participants will receive the combination of IL PV-10 and pembrolizumab (i.e., PV-10 + standard of care). In the subsequent Phase 2 portion of the study participants will be randomized 1:1 to receive either the combination of IL PV-10 and pembrolizumab or pembrolizumab alone (i.e., PV-10 + standard of care vs. standard of care).
NCT01631292
In this study, we will provide supplemental vitamin D in postmenopausal overweight/obese women, and hypothesize that it will not affect areal BMD, but will alter bone compartments (trabecular and cortical bone). In addition, higher vitamin D intake will increase serum 25OHD and suppress serum PTH and bone turnover during weight reduction. Secondary outcomes include the influence of vitamin D and weight loss on markers of insulin resistance and on cognitive tests of attention, learning, and memory.
NCT02258451
The objective of this study is to assess efficacy and safety of radium 223 dichloride in subjects with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) negative hormone receptor positive breast cancer with bone metastases treated with exemestane and everolimus After implementation of CSP Amendment 10, only a limited number of subjects will remain in this study, in order to reduce the burden to study subjects, collection of data will be reduced and will focus mainly on acute safety, SSE, and OS. Once subjects are rolled over, the long-term safety will be collected and assessed entirely in the separate extended safety follow-up study.
