NCT06234488
There is no granular retrospective data on breast cancer in transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) persons from a contemporary and diverse American cohort. The purpose of this investigation is to aggregate data from multiple institutions to describe the risk, diagnosis, management, and outcomes of TGD persons with breast cancer in effort to identify opportunities for future intervention studies to eliminate breast cancer disparities for this population.
NCT04153149
This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of vutrisiran 25 mg administered subcutaneously (SC) once every 3 months (q3M) compared to placebo in participants with ATTR amyloidosis with cardiomyopathy.
NCT01659606
Dyskeratosis congenita is a disease that affects numerous parts of the body, most typically causing failure of the blood system. Lung disease, liver disease and cancer are other frequent causes of illness and death. Bone marrow transplantation (BMT) can cure the blood system but can make the lung and liver disease and risk of cancer worse, because of DNA damaging agents such as alkylators and radiation that are typically used in the procedure. Based on the biology of DC, we hypothesize that it may be possible to avoid these DNA damaging agents in patients with DC, and still have a successful BMT. In this protocol we will test whether a regimen that avoids DNA alkylators and radiation can permit successful BMT without compromising survival in patients with DC.
NCT04897334
The purpose of this study is to determine whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique, transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), combined with traditional cognitive therapy will improve cognitive function in patients with subacute stroke.
NCT06646757
EMPOWER-IBD aims to identify behavioral interventions to strengthen patients' self-efficacy for self-management as a mechanism to reduce IBD-related disability. This multisite, randomized controlled trial with 16 arms will randomize adults with moderate-to-severe IBD-related disability to a combination of four multimodal behavioral interventions to test their clinical effectiveness in reducing IBD-related disability and improving self-efficacy. The interventions are four existing, publicly available disease-specific self-help resources offered at no cost to the participants: a book, smart app, help center, and peer mentor. Participants will complete online surveys and may engage in virtual focus groups. Participants may receive an honorarium (e-gift card) and/or be entered into a lottery for a giftcards post-survey completion and focus group participation.
NCT05162638
In this study, lymph fluid will be collected by cannulation of the thoracic duct, a minimally invasive procedure performed by interventional radiologists. Single time point and serial collection through an indwelling cannula will allow for comparisons between immune cells in the periphery and deep lymphatic system in MS and healthy controls and in MS, changes in responses to a FDA approved therapy ofatumumab.
NCT03901807
Prospective, multicenter, randomized, open-label study of standard of care plus the PMX cartridge versus standard of care alone in patients with endotoxemic septic shock
NCT06060041
The purpose of this study is to verify the post-market safety of the IC-8 Apthera IOL after the treatment of posterior capsular opacification (PCO), an expected complication related to IC-8 Apthera IOL implantation.
NCT05074810
This study will assess the safety and efficacy of avutometinib (VS-6766) in combination with sotorasib with or without defactinib in patients with KRAS G12C Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) in patients who have been exposed to prior G12C inhibitor and those who have not been exposed to prior G12C inhibitor.
NCT06961968
The purpose of this research is to evaluate the efficacy of dosing iloperidone long-acting injection (LAI) compared to placebo in preventing the exacerbation of symptoms in patients with schizophrenia.
NCT05203445
This study will test any good and bad effects of combining the study drugs pembrolizumab and olaparib, given before the standard surgical procedure, to treat TNBC or HR+ HER2- breast cancers. The study drugs could shrink cancer, but they could also cause side effects. The study researchers want to find out whether the study drugs will shrink the cancer by a certain percentage compared with its current size, which may improve the outcome of surgery.
NCT05873816
The goal of this prospective, multi-center, randomized, controlled study is to compare the safety and efficacy of the ProtEmbo Cerebral Embolic Protection device to a hybrid control (no embolic protection device ('No Device') and the Sentinel device) in subjects with severe symptomatic native aortic valve stenosis indicated undergoing a TAVR procedure.
NCT05339126
To generate preliminary safety and effectiveness data for brain-responsive neurostimulation of thalamocortical networks as an adjunctive therapy in reducing the frequency of generalized seizures in individuals 12 years of age or older with Lennox Gastaut Syndrome (LGS) who are refractory to antiseizure medications. The intent is to determine the feasibility and the optimal design of a subsequent pivotal study in order to expand the indication for use for the RNS System as a treatment for patients with medically intractable LGS.
NCT04585815
Phase 1b/Phase 2 Umbrella Study; open-label, multi-center, parallel group study. Sasanlimab (a PD-1 antagonist monoclonal antibody) will be combined with a different targeted therapy in each sub-study. Phase1b of each sub-study will evaluate the safety of the combination and select the dose for the Phase 2 portion. Phase 2 of each sub-study will evaluate the anti-tumor activity of the combination. Sub-Study A is active, not recruiting, ongoing participants are still receiving treatment in Phase 1, Phase 2 will not be initiated. Sub-study B is complete. All participants have discontinued treatment and any additional follow up required by protocol.
NCT04259281
The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of multiple-ascending doses of GTX-102 administered by intrathecal (IT) injection to participants with Angelman Syndrome (AS).
NCT03870750
This phase II/III trial studies the best approach in improving quality of life and survival after a donor stem cell transplant in older, weak, or frail patients with blood diseases. Patients who have undergone a transplant often experience increases in disease and death. One approach, supportive and palliative care (SPC), focuses on relieving symptoms of stress from serious illness and care through physical, cultural, psychological, social, spiritual, and ethical aspects. While a second approach, clinical management of comorbidities (CMC) focuses on managing multiple diseases, other than cancer, such as heart or lung diseases through physical exercise, strength training, stress reduction, medication management, dietary recommendations, and education. Giving SPC, CMC, or a combination of both may work better in improving quality of life and survival after a donor stem cell transplant compared to standard of care in patients with blood diseases.
NCT05919849
The purpose of this study is to develop and test two brief online writing interventions to improve parental acceptance of sexual and gender minority youth (SGMY) in the Southeast United States.
NCT07325214
The purpose of this Interventional clinical trial is to evaluate safety and efficacy of 'IMD10 (focused ultrasound)' in the treatment of borderline resectable pancreatic cancer or locally advanced pancreatic cancer.
NCT05931276
The investigators aim to determine, using a point-of-care randomized controlled trial design, if hemodialysis patients, who are randomized to metoprolol succinate (a dialyzable, beta-1 selective beta blocker), have an improved cardiovascular outcome compared to those randomized to carvedilol (a non-dialyzable, non-selective beta blocker with alpha-1 antagonist properties). The investigators will also examine intervention practices to identify components that best support engagement and sustainability.
NCT05357040
To evaluate the acute and sustained antidepressant effects of nitrous oxide in people with major depressive disorder; and further evaluate these effects by identifying the optimal dose and regimen to guide current practice, and to plan a future large pragmatic trial.
