NCT01014585
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the durability of effect of milnacipran for the treatment of fibromyalgia in patients receiving long-term milnacipran treatment and to characterize the effects of milnacipran on multiple symptoms of fibromyalgia, as demonstrated by changes in symptoms following the discontinuation of milnacipran.
NCT00195702
The purpose of the study was to assess the safety, immunogenicity, and clinical efficacy of adalimumab compared with placebo (during double-blind phase) and to to evaluate the long-term safety and maintenance of efficacy following repeated administration of adalimumab (during open-label extension phase) in patients with persistently active rheumatoid arthritis who were receiving concurrent methotrexate therapy.
NCT00058149
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy such as gemcitabine and oxaliplatin use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug and giving them in different ways may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known whether gemcitabine is more effective with or without oxaliplatin in treating pancreatic cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of gemcitabine with or without oxaliplatin in treating patients who have locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic cancer.
NCT00785954
The purpose of this study is to determine whether KAI-9803 is safe and effective in reducing infarct size in subjects with ST elevation myocardial infarction (heart attack) undergoing a percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). A select number of sites will also participate in a substudy where eligible patients will undergo an additional procedure;cardiac magnetic resonance imaging.
NCT00947557
This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of dutogliptin in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) who are receiving background therapy of glimepiride with or without metformin.
NCT00369928
This will be a 12-week, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, parallel group, multicenter study to evaluate the safety, efficacy, and PK of oral administration of PG-760564 in adult patients with active RA receiving treatment with MTX. Two oral doses of PG-760564 will be evaluated: 25 mg BID and 100 mg BID. The study will consist of a screening visit followed by a washout period for all disease modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) and anti-cytokine therapies except MTX. After the washout period, patients determined to be eligible will be randomized to receive either 25 mg BID or 100 mg BID of oral PG-760564, or placebo for 12 weeks. There will be 6 treatment visits and a follow-up visit 4 weeks after the last treatment visit. The primary efficacy endpoint will be the proportion of patients meeting the ACR 20 response criteria after 12 weeks of treatment.
NCT00735085
A Randomized, Double Blind, Placebo Controlled, Phase 2 Dose Escalation Study to Investigate the Safety and Pharmacokinetics after Single and Multiple I.V. Doses of SLV334 in Sequential Cohorts of Patients with Moderate and Severe Traumatic Brain Injury.
NCT00454181
This is a study to test lozenges of interferon-alpha that are dissolved in the mouth as a treatment of oral warts in HIV-positive adults. The hypothesis of this study is that interferon-alpha will be safe and that a higher percentage of subjects given interferon-alpha will experience a complete or nearly complete remission of their oral warts compared to subjects given placebo.
NCT01055574
The purpose of this study is to compare the physical capability outcomes of patients who undergo single-level ProDisc-L disc replacement with those of patients who undergo stand-alone, single-level anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF). This study will be the first multi-center clinical study to use clearly measurable outcomes from physical tests to compare the results of lumbar disc arthroplasty with disc fusion.
NCT00484536
The objective of the study is to evaluate the effect, safety and tolerability of CDP323 in patients with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis
NCT00522925
The purpose of the study is to see if PS433540 lowers blood pressure better than placebo and to see how safe PS433540 is compared to placebo.
NCT01140841
The purpose of this clinical trial is to determine the maximum tolerated dose of Fipamezole in adult patients with Parkinson's disease who are receiving levodopa.
NCT00500266
To evaluate the safety of 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (13vPnC) in elderly subjects who were vaccinated with one or more doses of 23-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (23vPS) at least 3 years before study enrollment.
NCT00355615
The primary objective of this study is to determine the efficacy of once-daily rosuvastatin in reducing LDL-C in children and adolescents aged 10-17 years with HeFH from baseline (Day 0) to the end of the 12-week double-blind treatment period.
NCT00669617
This study will evaluate the onset of action of indacaterol (150 and 300 µg) as compared to placebo, salbutamol 200 µg and salmeterol/fluticasone 50/500 µg
NCT01408095
The study is designed to see if once daily oral dosing of LY2608204 will help control diabetes as measured by the glycosylated fraction of hemoglobin A (HbA1c) level. It will also help to determine the safety of the medication and the most useful doses of the medication.
NCT00515086
This study will define the safety and efficacy of Everolimus (RAD001) administered daily in patients with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM)
NCT00916565
The purpose of this study is to look at the function of infant formula components to optimize the nutritional content and functionality of a marketed routine infant formula.
NCT01201681
The purpose of this study is to identify pre-operative factors that put patients at greater risk of developing severe tooth pain following root canal therapy, thereby providing evidence that will allow dentists to act preventively to lessen this risk, improve pain control, increase their patients' quality of life, and decrease the number of dental emergency interactions. A parallel goal of this study is to assess the feasibility of recruiting dentists that provide root canal therapy and patients using the DPBRN.
NCT01201668
The purpose of this study is to document by survey the occurence of tooth pain present 3 months and 6 months after root canal therapy in the patients recruited for the DPBRN "Peri-operative tooth pain" study. This study will access the feasibility of obtaining 3 month and 6 month follow-up data on the patient enrolled in the DPBRN "Peri-operative tooth pain" study.
