NCT00103662
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the combination of AMD3100 (plerixafor) and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF, generic name of filgrastim) is better than G-CSF alone to mobilize and collect the optimal number of stem cells in multiple myeloma patients for autologous transplantation.
NCT01059565
The purpose of this research study was to determine if an experimental drug called Aztreonam for Inhalation Solution (AZLI) was safe and effective to treat Burkholderia lung infections in patients with cystic fibrosis (CF). Spirometry was used to assess pulmonary function, and the revised Cystic Fibrosis Questionnaire (CFQ-R) was used to assess quality of life. The CFQ-R is a validated, patient-reported outcome tool used to measure health-related quality of life for children and adults with CF. The study consisted of a 24-week randomized phase, and a 24-week open-label phase. Primary and secondary efficacy analyses were conducted for the 24-week randomized phase only. Safety data were collected for both the randomized and open-label phases.

NCT00522834
"Elesclomol (STA-4783), N-malonyl-bis (N'-methyl-N'-thiobenzoylhydrazide) is a new chemical entity with a novel structure. STA-4783 induces an oxidative stress response in cells. This response is characterized by increased production of gene families that protect against different cellular stresses, including excessive heat, the presence of reactive oxygen species such as oxygen radicals, or the presence of heavy metals. Subjects will participate in up to 2 weeks of screening during which time they will complete all screening procedures. Eligible subjects who have not received any prior cytotoxic chemotherapeutic agent for melanoma will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive either STA-4783 213 mg/m2 in combination with paclitaxel 80 mg/m2 or paclitaxel 80 mg/m2 alone. One treatment cycle will consist of weekly treatments for 3 weeks, followed by a 1-week rest period. Cycles will be repeated every 4 weeks until disease progression. Tumor assessments will be performed every 8 weeks from the date of randomization or sooner if the Investigator suspects progression has occurred based on clinical signs and symptoms. "
NCT01626235
Study aims to assess patient-recorded outcomes of pain control medications prescribed in the ER after visits for specific painful injuries/illnesses.
NCT01002950
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of the investigational drug ACU-4429 in subjects with geographic atrophy.
NCT00455429

NCT01515410
The primary objective of this study is to explore the efficacy and tolerability of DM-1992 compared to a standard carbidopa/Levodopa Immediate-Release (CD/LD IR) tablet (Sinemet IR) as measured by: * "ON" time with no dyskinesia or non-troublesome dyskinesia * "OFF" time
NCT00911963
The purpose of this study is to assess antiviral activity when administered alone for 3 days or in combination with peginterferon and ribavirin for 12 weeks. This study will also evaluate the safety and tolerability of treatment with VCH-222 when given alone or in combination with peginterferon and ribavirin. The study will also evaluate the pharmacokinetic profile of VCH-222 in HCV infected subjects.
NCT00870220
This is a multicenter, randomized, controlled, semi-blinded study to compare two low doses of estradiol administered by recently available transdermal patches for the initiation of puberty in Turner syndrome girls 11.5-13.0 years old in conjunction with growth hormone (GH) therapy. The specific hypotheses to be tested are: when combined with growth hormone (GH) treatment, low dose transdermal estradiol (LTE2) replacement will be more effective in stimulating feminization, height velocity, and bone mineral density without compromising growth potential than very low dose transdermal estradiol (VLTE2), which will in turn be superior to GH alone in effects on feminization, height velocity, and bone mineral density.
NCT00144300
To determine if there is any difference in the presence of retinal deterioration in PD patients treated with pramipexole IR versus ropinirole as monitored by comprehensive ophthalmologic assessments from baseline to the end of study at two years.
NCT01824407
The Sponsor of this study, SANUWAVE, Inc., has developed an investigational device known as the dermaPACE® (Pulsed Acoustic Cellular Expression) device for the possible treatment of diabetic foot ulcers. This device generates acoustic (sound) pressure waves designed to act on the cells in your body to generate proteins that may lead to wound closure. The dermaPACE® device has not been approved for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers; therefore its use in this study is investigational. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the ability of the dermaPACE® device to help diabetic foot ulcers heal more quickly. The active study device, the dermaPACE®, will be compared to an inactive look-alike device (called a "Sham") in this study. The sham device will not provide any treatment to your diabetic foot ulcer.
NCT00084214
This study is designed to assess the efficacy of a weekly treatment regimen of STA-4783 and paclitaxel in comparison to paclitaxel alone on tumor response in metastatic melanoma patients.
NCT01162681
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of three different doses of A-623 administered in addition to standard therapy in subjects with active SLE disease
NCT00322491
This study evaluates the safety and efficacy of plerixafor given in addition to granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) for collection of peripheral blood stem cells (PBSCs) for autologous transplantation in patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) and multiple myeloma (MM). Efficacy outcomes include evaluation of fold increase in circulating CD34+ cells from just before the first plerixafor injection to 10-11 hours post plerixafor (just before apheresis) and assessment of successful polymorphonuclear leukocyte (PMN) engraftment after transplantation. Data from this protocol will assist in the determination of the dosing schedule for future studies.
NCT00507689
The objective of this 96-week study was to evaluate the safety and antiviral efficacy of emtricitabine/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (FTC/TDF, coformulated; Truvada®) with or without hepatitis B immunoglobulin (HBIg) in preventing the recurrence of chronic hepatitis B following liver transplantation, in participants who were chronically infected with hepatitis B prior to transplantation. Prior to enrollment, participants were required to have received at least 12 weeks of HBIg therapy following liver transplantation. Enrolled participants then received FTC/TDF plus HBIg for an initial 24-week pre-randomization treatment period. Participants who completed the pre-randomization period and who achieved sustained viral suppression were randomized to continue treatment with FTC/TDF with or without HBIg for an additional 72 weeks (randomized period). The antiviral efficacy of treatment was assessed by measuring hepatitis B virus levels in the blood (HBV DNA). Safety and tolerability was monitored by assessing adverse events and various laboratory parameters.
NCT01085201
Sickle cell disease (SCD) is an inherited blood disorder that causes the red blood cells to change their shape from a round shape to a half-moon/crescent or sickled shape. People who have SCD have a different type of protein that carries oxygen in their blood (hemoglobin) then people without SCD. This different type of hemoglobin makes the red blood cells change into a crescent shape under certain conditions. Sickle-shaped cells are a problem because they often get stuck in blood vessels blocking the flow of blood, and cause inflammation and injury to the important areas in the body. Lexiscan is drug that may prevent this inflammation and injury caused by the sickle shaped cells. This drug is approved by the FDA to be used as a fast infusion during a heart stress test in people who are unable to exercise enough to put stress on their heart by making it beat faster. Lexiscan has never been studied in patients with SCD and has never been given as a long infusion.
