NCT01067859
A placebo controlled, double-blind and randomized study to assess different doses of a new drug (BAY58-2667) given intravenously, to evaluate if it is safe and can help to improve the well-being of patients with acute decompensated heart failure.
NCT02054975
This is a pilot randomized controlled trial of lower vs. higher dose vitamin D supplementation in D-deficient asthmatic children, to determine necessary sample sizes for outcome measures in a larger multisite study, and to examine possible relationships and effect sizes between various biological markers that may be important to the pathophysiology of childhood asthma. Aims of the study are to: 1. Evaluate effect sizes for relationships between serum 25OH-vitD and omega-fatty acid (FA) biomarkers, before and after supplementation with lower or higher dose vitamin D, on immune function, and asthma severity. 2. Characterize changes in innate and adaptive immune function and inflammatory responses in asthmatic D-deficient youth at baseline and after vitD supplements, by dietary O6:O3FA status and vitD dose.
NCT01225211
The purpose of this study is to evaluate of the safety, efficacy, pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) effects of lumacaftor (VX-809) alone and when coadministered with ivacaftor (VX-770) in participants with cystic fibrosis, homozygous or heterozygous for the F508del-CFTR mutation.
NCT01973049
To demonstrate the effectiveness of DCV 3DAA fixed dose combination with or without Ribavirin in treatment naive cirrhotic subjects.
NCT01065077
NCT01493557
This is a prospective and open label study that aims to enroll approximately 1200 patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) not previously treated with Pradaxa® and free of gastrointestinal symptoms (GIS) for at least 2 weeks prior to enrolment. Approximately 125 sites in North America will be recruited. Patients who report GIS during the 3 month treatment period will be randomized to one of two management strategies, and data documenting the intensity and duration of the GIS will be collected.
NCT01573351
The purpose of this study is to assess efficacy, as determined by the proportion of subjects with Sustained Virologic Response at Post-Treatment Week 12 (SVR12), defined as Hepatitis C virus (HCV) Ribonucleic acid (RNA) \< Limit of quantitation (LOQ) at post-treatment Week 12.
NCT01012895
The purpose of this study is to determine whether BMS-650032 and BMS-790052 in combination alone, together with Ribavirin, or together with Interferon and Ribavirin are effective in the treatment of Hepatitis C in patients who have not responded to prior therapy.
NCT01204762
At least 1 dose of pegIFNλ will be identified which is safe, well tolerated, and efficacious for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus infection (CHB) Amendment 7, Part B Sub Study: The primary purpose of this amendment is to obtain preliminary data on the safety of pegylated interferon Lambda (Lambda) when administered in combination with Entecavir(ETV) to patients with hepatitis E antigen-positive (HBeAg-positive) chronic hepatitis B(CHB) infection employing a sequential therapy approach
NCT00769067
This study will compare PF-00299804 given orally on continuous schedule to the approved drug, erlotinib, in patients whose non-small cell lung cancer has progressed after chemotherapy; patients will be randomized to receive one of these drugs, and followed for efficacy and tolerance of each.
NCT01170962
The purpose of this study is to determine whether BMS-790052 added to Peginterferon Alfa-2a and ribavirin can result in higher cure rates in patients who previously failed therapy and may have limited response to retreatment with Peginterferon Alfa-2a and ribavirin alone.
NCT00633789
The purpose of this study is to determine if gastric/esophageal, lung, pancreatic, bladder and sarcoma patients show benefit from brivanib treatment. Patients who clearly do, stay on treatment. Those in which it is unclear will be randomized to continue or withdraw treatment to determine whether that benefit is related to brivanib
NCT02237209
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common cause of illness in infants and children around the world. This study will evaluate the safety and immune response to an RSV vaccine in RSV-seronegative infants and children. This study is a companion study to CIR 291.
NCT00872833
Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder that can result in mild to severe anemia. Regular blood transfusions, which refresh the healthy red blood cell supply, are one treatment for thalassemia. People with thalassemia often experience pain, but the exact source of pain remains unknown. This study will examine how pain varies during the blood transfusion cycle in people with thalassemia who are treated with regular blood transfusions.
NCT01046422
The purpose of this study is to determine if BMS-770767 is safe, well tolerated, measure its levels in the blood (pharmacokinetics), and measure the levels of chemicals (biomarkers) that may be affected by this drug (pharmacodynamics) in a type 2 diabetes patient population
NCT01193361
At least 1 dose of BMS-791325 can be identified which is safe, well tolerated, and efficacious when combined with peg-interferon alfa-2a (pegIFNα-2a)/ribavirin (RBV) for the treatment of treatment-naïve, chronically-infected hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1 subjects
NCT01254357
As part of Clinical Trials.Gov ID:NCT00253292 a psychometrically sound outcomes instrument was developed to study the outcomes of burn survivors in the 19-30 year old age group. This workgroup has come together to re-examine the data collected during the previous study and determine next steps in understanding the recovery for this population.
NCT01718158
The purpose of this study is to determine if treatment with Pegylated Interferon Lambda-1a, given in combination with Ribavirin and Daclatasvir for 24 weeks, is as safe and effective as the standard treatment with Pegylated Interferon Alfa-2a + Ribavirin + Telaprevir in subjects who are infected with Chronic Hepatitis C virus genotype 1b and have never received any prior anti-HCV treatment, or who have relapsed after an initial, successful treatment with Pegylated Interferon Alfa + Ribavirin
NCT00664625
The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety profile and tolerability of single oral doses of BMS-791325 in subjects with chronic hepatitis C infection
NCT02134886
This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of erlotinib hydrochloride in treating non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body or cannot be removed by surgery in patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. Erlotinib hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Erlotinib hydrochloride is a standard drug used for treating lung cancer, however, it is not yet known whether it is safe to give erlotinib hydrochloride to patients who also have HIV infection or not.
