NCT01659996
The aim of the study is to further characterize the safety and immunogenicity of Menactra® in the population \<2 years of age when administered alone and when the second dose is administered concomitantly with the 4th dose of Pentacel®, a licensed pediatric vaccine. Primary Objectives: * To evaluate and compare the antibody responses to meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135 induced by 2 injections of Menactra® in subjects aged 9 months at the first vaccination visit and 15 to 18 months at the second vaccination visit. * To evaluate and compare the antibody responses to Pertussis (pertussis toxoid \[PT\], filamentous haemagglutinin \[FHA\] and pertactin \[PRN\]) antigens induced by a dose of Pentacel® when administered concomitantly with Menactra® to those elicited by a dose of Pentacel® administered alone. * To evaluate and compare the antibody responses to polyribosylribitol phosphate (PRP), tetanus and diphtheria antigens induced by a dose of Pentacel® when administered concomitantly with Menactra® to those elicited by a dose of Pentacel® alone. Observational Objectives: * To describe the safety profile (immediate unsolicited AEs within 30 minutes of each trial vaccination, solicited reactions within 7 days of each vaccination, unsolicited AEs within 30 days of each vaccination, and serious adverse events \[SAEs\] throughout the course of the trial from Day 0 up to Day 30 after the last trial vaccination\[s\]) in all trial groups * To describe the antibody responses to meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135, measured by SBA HC, 30 days after the second Menactra® administration * To describe the antibody responses to Pentacel® (PT, FHA, PRN, FIM, diphtheria, tetanus, polio, PRP) measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), radioimmunoassay (RIA), or functional assays.
NCT01144351
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and tolerability of ELND002 in patients with relapsing forms of secondary progressive multiple sclerosis (SPMS) or relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS).
NCT00615836
The purpose of this study was to investigate the long term efficacy and safety of several doses of the Melt formulation of desmopressin in a broad population of adult patients with nocturia.
NCT00510731
This is a prospective study to evaluating the ability of the PD2i Cardiac Analyzer to predict the risk of serious heart rhythm abnormalities in high-risk patients that do not already have an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator.
NCT00560859
The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of adenotonsillectomy surgery (removal of tonsils and adenoids) on obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) in children. OSAS can cause health problems including poor growth, high blood pressure, diabetes and behavioral and learning difficulties. Although adenotonsillectomy is the usual treatment for children with OSAS, it is not known with any certainty if the child's OSAS symptoms improve afterwards. This study will help determine if improvement occurs or if it does not. It will also look at whether certain groups, such as children who are overweight or of different ethnicities, are helped by the surgery.
NCT02093468
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of MST-188 in subjects receiving catheter-directed rt-PA for acute lower limb ischemia and to evaluate whether treatment with MST-188 results in more rapid thrombolysis of the occlusion and more rapid tissue perfusion in the effected blood vessel.
NCT02162628
The purpose of this study is to compare safety and effectiveness of the Exair Prolapse Repair System for treatment of pelvic organ prolapse to traditional native tissue repair through 36 months of follow-up.
NCT00216021
In vitro data suggest synergy between oxaliplatin and 5-FU. The combination of oxaliplatin with 5-fluorouracil produced objective response rates ranging from 27-34% in two studies of patients with prior chemotherapy. Capecitabine was designed as an orally administered, tumor selective fluoropyrimidine, preferentially converted to 5-FU at the tumor site by the higher levels of pyrimidine nucleoside phosphorylase (PyNPase) in tumor tissues compared to normal tissues. The end result is higher concentrations of 5-fluorouracil in tumor relative to surrounding normal tissue. This trial will investigate the activity of this novel capecitabine/oxaliplatin (CAPOX) combination in patients with advanced disease. In addition, an exploratory analysis will correlate response with thymidine synthase and thymidine phosphorylase expression in primary tumor samples.
NCT01879683
The purpose of the study is to evaluate if LiRIS 400 mg is safe and tolerable when administered to women with Interstitial Cystitis with Hunner's lesions, and to evaluate any change in the bladder or in IC symptoms, following LiRIS administration.
NCT00388284
This trial is designed as a prospective, multi-center, randomized, double blinded clinical trial to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the Thrombin VSI. An immunological sub-study to assess antibody and coagulation changes in the subjects following exposure to the Vascular Solutions Diagnostic Duett Pro manufactured with Thrombin VSI and Thrombin JMI will be conducted as a component of this trial with a subset of the enrolled study subjects. Two hundred seventy (270) subjects will be enrolled in this trial. A minimum of 50% of the subjects will be interventional subjects and up to 50% will be diagnostic subjects. All 270 subjects will provide blood specimens at baseline and at the 30 day follow-up visit for evaluation in the immunologic sub-study. Within the 270 subjects enrolled, a minimum of 45 subjects treated with the Thrombin VSI and a minimum of 45 subjects treated with the Thrombin JMI will provide blood specimens at the 60 day follow-up visit to be evaluated in the immunologic sub-study. The primary efficacy objective is to demonstrate that the device time-to-hemostasis for the study group treated with the sealing device manufactured with Thrombin VSI is non-inferior to the study group treated with the sealing device manufactured with Thrombin JMI. The primary safety objective is to demonstrate a device-related major complication rate for the study group treated with the sealing device manufactured with Thrombin VSI that is non-inferior to the device-related major complication rate observed for the study group treated with the sealing device manufactured with Thrombin JMI.
NCT01821352
The purpose of this study is to determine whether low level laser light therapy is effective in reducing circumference of the waist, hips and upper abdomen in obese individuals.
