NCT01385137
RATIONALE: An omega-3 fatty acid-enriched nutritional supplement may help improve muscle and bone pain and stiffness caused by hormone therapy in patients with breast cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying omega-3 fatty acid supplements in treating muscle and bone pain and stiffness in patients with stage I, stage II, or stage III breast cancer receiving hormone therapy.
NCT00916409
The study is a prospective, randomly controlled pivotal trial, designed to test the efficacy and safety of a medical device, the NovoTTF-100A, as an adjuvant to the best standard of care in the treatment of newly diagnosed GBM patients. The device is an experimental, portable, battery operated device for chronic administration of alternating electric fields (termed TTFields or TTF) to the region of the malignant tumor, by means of surface, insulated electrode arrays.
NCT02227108
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of moxetumomab pasudotox in pediatric participants with relapsed or refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) or B-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma.
NCT00550836
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Erlotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Monoclonal antibodies, such as panitumumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Panitumumab may also stop the growth of pancreatic cancer by blocking blood flow to the tumor. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying how well giving panitumumab together with gemcitabine and erlotinib works compared to giving gemcitabine and erlotinib alone in treating patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer.
NCT01268566
The primary objective of this Phase II study is to evaluate the progression-free survival at 6 months in adult subjects with a first recurrence of Glioblastoma Multiforme who are treated with MEDI-575.
NCT00056277
A Placebo Controlled Study Evaluating Efficacy and Safety of Medication in Patients with Bipolar Disorder
NCT00315822
The investigators propose to test the hypothesis that the incidence of major complications related to infection or inadequate healing is reduced in morbidly obese patients given 80% inspired oxygen during, and for 12-18 hours after, surgery compared with patients given 80% oxygen only during surgery. The primary outcome will be a composite of major complications plausibly related to infection or healing.
NCT00161733
The objective of this study is to demonstrate equivalent hemostatic efficacy and safety between FS VH S/D and TISSEEL VH fibrin sealant in subjects undergoing cardiac surgery requiring cardiopulmonary bypass. If bleeding is still present after conventional surgical methods to achieve hemostasis have been applied FS VH S/D or Tisseel VH are applied. Achievement of hemostasis within 5 minutes is compared between the study groups.
NCT01123161
The purpose of this trial is to determine whether the combination of thrombolysis and hypothermia is superior to thrombolysis alone for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke.
NCT00588900
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as irinotecan, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Cediranib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving irinotecan together with cediranib may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II clinical trial is studying how well giving irinotecan together with cediranib works in treating patients with metastatic colorectal cancer that did not respond to previous oxaliplatin, fluoropyrimidine, and bevacizumab.
NCT01849289
This trial was conducted in Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America. The aim of the trial was to compare efficacy and safety of insulin degludec and insulin glargine in insulin naïve subjects with type 2 diabetes.
NCT02413827
This is a study to determine the clinical benefit (how well the drug works), safety and tolerability of combining a) varlilumab and ipilimumab and b) varlilumab, ipilimumab, CDX-1401 and poly-ICLC. The study will enroll patients with unresectable Stage III or Stage IV melanoma.
NCT01007942
This phase III, double-blind, placebo-controlled multinational study will assess the combination everolimus, vinorelbine, and trastuzumab compared to the combination vinorelbine and trastuzumab with respect to progressive-free survival and over survival in HER2/neu positive women with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer who are resistant to trastuzumab and have been pre-treated with a taxane.
NCT01759511
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the long term safety and tolerability of simtuzumab (GS-6624) in participants with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) who had previously participated in Gilead clinical trial AB0024-201.
NCT00974623
A multi-center, prospective, observational patient registry to collect information on the clinical outcomes and "real world" use of approved and commercially available bone graft substitutes, autograft and allograft.
NCT00282984
The primary purpose of this study is to determine whether or not varenicline will help people with cardiovascular disease quit smoking and to confirm it is safe in these patients.
NCT02936115
The purpose of this study is to compare the clinical outcomes of TruSkin® and an Active Comparator in patients with chronic diabetic foot ulcers.
NCT02608957
The objective of the Latella-US study is to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of the Latella Knee Implant System for the reduction of medial osteoarthritis pain.
NCT02693275
This study is being conducted to create a database for the Quotient® System iPad Test. Using community sampling, NCS Pearson will compile the results of this study to create a database against which the results of clinical Quotient tests may be compared to determine patient performance relative to the expected results for developmental age and gender.
NCT01965106
This study will assess any side effects that may occur when QPI-1007 is injected into the eye in subjects with acute primary angle-closure glaucoma, as well as how long it takes for the body to clear the drug. This study will also test whether QPI-1007, injected into the eye, helps prevent both structural damage of the nerve tissue in the eye and the loss of visual function in subjects with acute primary angle-closure glaucoma.
