NCT01466153
The overall purpose of the study was to determine if MEDI-551, when used in combination with salvage chemotherapy (bendamustine) in participants with relapsed or refractory CLL who are not eligible for Autologous Stem Cell Transplant (ASCT), had superior efficacy compared to rituximab in the same population.
NCT01453491
The purpose of this research study is to: * 1\) Test the safety and tolerability of 2 different oral doses of SRT2104 in subjects with ulcerative colitis * 2\) Determine the amount of SRT2104 measured from a single blood sample in addition to colon and/or rectal tissue samples (biopsies) * 3\) Determine whether SRT2104 has any anti-inflammatory effect on the colon and/or rectum when taken orally for 8 weeks * 4\) Determine whether SRT2104 causes any detectable changes to specific biomarkers. A biomarker is a biological marker (or substance such as a protein) that is used as an indicator of changes in a biological state that corresponds to the risk or progression of a disease.
NCT00063479
The primary purpose of this trial is to evaluate whether the investigational medication is safe, effective and has the ability to increase spine bone density in osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) patients.
NCT00362817
Purpose: The primary objective of this study is to determine if chemotherapy with carboplatin and temozolomide significantly affects the response rates, or size of disease, in patients with brain metastases, originating from cancer in other parts of the body, compared to patients who have already been treated with radiation. Survival, causes of death, recurrence of disease in the central nervous system, toxicity, and quality of life will all be measured as secondary objective in this study.
NCT00811733
Given the tolerability and efficacy of ofatumumab in follicular lymphoma and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, and the need to improve therapy for patients with WM utilizing a non-myelosuppressive agent this phase II trial of ofatumumab is being initiated in patients with Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia (WM).
NCT01194973
The record Primary purpose is to assess the efficacy of eculizumab in adult patients with Atypical Hemolytic- Uremic Syndrome (aHUS) to control Thrombotic Microangiopathy (TMA) as characterized by thrombocytopenia, hemolysis and renal impairment.
NCT00996307
This study will evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of different combinations of A/H1N1 2009 (swine flu) vaccine in healthy young children
NCT01942720
This study is designed to evaluate the performance of VCE in the assessment of mucosal inflammation 6 months after the first VCE procedure
NCT00177606
The purpose of this study is to validate a set of proposed clinical criteria that have been designed to identify patients who will die rapidly following the elective removal of life sustaining treatments.
NCT00316160
Effects of two depression medication on sexual functioning
NCT01525238
The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK) of Dapagliflozin in pediatric subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)
NCT01965158
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of naldemedine in the treatment of opioid-induced constipation (OIC) in adults with non-malignant chronic pain who are not using laxatives.
NCT00925600
This is a phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate new or worsening lens opacifications in men with non-metastatic prostate cancer receiving denosumab for bone loss due to androgen deprivation therapy.
NCT01430403
The purpose of this trial is to compare the efficacy of 4 to 5 months of three treatments - omalizumab, corticosteroid therapy boost, and placebo - in reducing fall exacerbations in inner-city children and adolescents with allergic persistent asthma when initiated approximately 4 -6 weeks prior to the start of the first day of each participant's school year.
NCT00673153
RATIONALE: Vorinostat may stop the growth of cancer cells by interfering with various proteins needed for cell growth. Monoclonal antibodies, such as gemtuzumab ozogamicin (GO), can block cancer growth in different ways. GO finds cancer cells and helps kill them by carrying a cancer-killing substance to them. Giving vorinostat together with gemtuzumab ozogamicin may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving vorinostat together with gemtuzumab ozogamicin works in treating older patients with previously untreated acute myeloid leukemia.
NCT01117090
The purpose of this study is to record signatures from the fluid surrounding the spinal cord from people who have an implanted drug infusion system.
NCT00046111
The purpose of this study is to compare two capsules of topotecan made by slightly different methods. This will be done by giving the drug made by the two different methods to patients orally and testing blood levels.
NCT01712399
A clinical study to investigate the safety of mavrilimumab, an antibody being developed for the treatment of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, an inflammatory condition that affects the joints.
NCT01114529
The purpose of this study was to determine whether an early Calcineurin Inhibitor (CNI) to everolimus conversion at 10-14 weeks post transplantation improves renal allograft function without compromising efficacy compared to standard CNI treatment in de novo renal allograft recipients. In addition, the study was designed to evaluate the impact of a CNI-free regimen on evolution of cardiovascular parameters in de novo renal allograft recipients
NCT02230956
This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of a single intra-articular injection of 2 doses of BOTOX® (onabotulinumtoxinA) compared with placebo as treatment for knee osteoarthritis symptoms.
