NCT00185042
The purpose of this study is to learn if CS-505 is safe and effective for slowing down or possibly reversing the buildup of tissue, cells and fatty deposits (plaque) in the blood vessels of the heart (coronary artery atherosclerosis).
NCT00381446
The purpose of this study is to quantify the amount of corneal staining observed with various marketed contact lens/multipurpose solution combinations. The hypothesis is that there are measurable differences in the amount of corneal staining between the various combinations.
NCT00533871
Preeclampsia is a common disease state occurring in the third trimester of pregnancy, with an incidence of approximately 5-10% in the US. Hypertension (high blood pressure), a primary symptom of pre-eclampsia, may be present in women who were hypertensive prior to becoming pregnant.B-type (also known as brain) natriuretic peptide (BNP) is known to be made and released from the heart ventricles when the heart is strained. There is also evidence that BNP is secreted in the placenta, and may increase in preeclampsia and chronic hypertension in pregnancy. The purpose of the study is to determine if a maternal blood sample analyzed for the quantity of BNP is helpful in differentiating between pre-eclampsia and chronic high blood pressure.
NCT00231946
The study is designed to investigate the activity of the hormone drug leuprolide acetate in stabilizing cognitive function in mild-to-moderate AD patients.
NCT00266669
The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of a topical gel formulation of nitroglycerin, in comparison to a matching placebo, for patients with moderate to severe primary Raynaud's phenomenon or patients with Raynaud's phenomenon secondary to autoimmune diseases, such as scleroderma.
NCT00294541
This trial is a follow-up companion study to Protocol ICA-17043-10, a Phase III, multi-center, efficacy and safety study of ICA-17043. This is an open-label extension study collecting safety data on the use of ICA-17043 in subjects with sickle cell disease (SCD) (e.g., HbSS, HbSC, HbSb0-thalassemia, HbSb+-thalassemia subjects). All subjects who have successfully completed ICA-17043-10 will, if deemed appropriate by their study Investigator and appropriate consent by subject is given, enroll in the ICA-17043-12 study (Study 12). Only patients who participated in ICA-17043-10 are eligible for this open label study
NCT00068861
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder affecting up to 10% of women. The primary symptoms of PCOS are menstrual irregularities, increased body and facial hair, acne, and infertility. This study will test a combination of medications in women with PCOS to determine which works best to overcome infertility.
NCT00417365
Comparing the new Stainless Steel WaterWorks® douching device to a commercially available douching device using just water for safety and efficacy of odor abatement.
NCT00062894
The purpose of this study is to assess the blood pharmacokinetics in patients with previously untreated or relapsed follicular or transformed follicular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma who have received a dosimetric dose of fission-derived iodine I 131 tositumomab.
NCT00323024
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and maximum tolerated dose of inhaled NX1011 for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
NCT00510913
A study to compare the conversion to Prograf® (tacrolimus) to the continuation of cyclosporine in patients at risk for chronic renal allograft failure
NCT00041626
There is a need for more treatment options for patients with recurrent squamous cell cancer of the head and neck (SCCHN). These tumors usually have a variety of genetic defects that include disruption of the p53 pathway, a pathway that would ordinarily work to prevent the development of tumors. In this study the transfer of the p53 gene to tumor cells using a modified adenovirus (INGN 201) in combination with chemotherapy (cisplatin and fluorouracil) will be compared to chemotherapy with cisplatin and fluorouracil in patients who have failed surgery and radiotherapy.
NCT00002168
The purpose of this study is to compare the safety and effectiveness of two anti-HIV drug combinations when given to HIV-infected patients who have never been treated with anti-HIV drugs. One drug combination is stavudine (d4T) plus didanosine (ddI) plus Crixivan. The other combination is Retrovir (AZT) plus Epivir (3TC) plus Crixivan.
NCT00061646
The primary objective of this Phase II study is to assess the safety, pharmacokinetics and effectiveness of ABT-510 in combination with standard carboplatin/paclitaxel chemotherapy in subjects with stage IIIb or IV NSCLC.
NCT00264433
N-cadherin, a protein involved in blood vessel cell binding, is increased as cancer progresses, and is on the surface of many tumor cells. ADH-1 blocks N-cadherin. This study will test the safety and effects of ADH-1 in subjects with specific incurable, solid tumors with a protein biomarker called N-cadherin. This study will examine the clinical activity of ADH-1.
NCT00110851
This study is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of PN2034 administered to type 2 diabetics on concomitant rosiglitazone and metformin (or Avandamet) therapy as measured by change in glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels from baseline to Week 12. Also the study will evaluate the effect of PN2034 on glucose control as measured by fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and on fasting lipid levels: triglycerides, total cholesterol, high-density lipoproteins (HDL), low-density lipoproteins (LDL), and very low-density lipoproteins (VLDL).
NCT00110864
This study is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of PN2034 in insulin-dependent type 2 diabetics as measured by the change in average daily insulin dose from baseline to week 12. The effects of PN2034 on HbA1c, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), and lipid levels will also be measured.
NCT00061672
The primary objective of this study is to assess the safety and effectiveness of ABT-510 in subjects with refractory lymphoma.
NCT00002057
To determine a safe, effective, and convenient dosing schedule for nystatin pastilles in the prevention of oral candidiasis in patients with AIDS or AIDS related complex (ARC) (group III or IV, CDC classification).
NCT00098046
Varicella zoster virus causes chickenpox in children and shingles in adults. Chickenpox is usually a self-limiting illness characterized by fever and a rash. Serious complications can include secondary bacterial infections, pneumonia, and encephalitis. Anti-viral treatment is not a standard of care in immunocompetent children, but is recommended whenever a risk of complication exists. This study will evaluate the safety and blood levels of a new formulation of famciclovir in children 1-12 years of age.
