Primary Objective: To demonstrate the non-inferiority of Sotagliflozin 400 milligrams (mg) compared to Glimepiride on hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) reduction at Week 52 in participants with Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) who have inadequate glycemic control with metformin. Secondary Objectives: To demonstrate the superiority of Sotagliflozin 400 mg compared to Glimepiride on change in body weight, systolic blood pressure (SBP) in participants with baseline SBP ≥130 millimeter of mercury (mmHg), SBP in all participants, and proportion of participants with at least 1 documented symptomatic hypoglycemic event (≤70 milligrams per deciliter \[mg/dL\]). * To demonstrate the superiority of Sotagliflozin 400 mg compared to placebo on change in HbA1c, body weight, SBP in participants with baseline SBP ≥130 mmHg, SBP in all participants. * To demonstrate the superiority of Sotagliflozin 200 mg compared to placebo on change in HbA1c. * To demonstrate the non-inferiority of Sotagliflozin 400 mg compared to Glimepiride on change in HbA1c. * To demonstrate the superiority of Sotagliflozin 400 mg compared to Glimepiride on change in HbA1c. * To evaluate the safety and tolerability of Sotagliflozin compared to Glimepiride and placebo.
NCT03107949
An early feasibility study to investigate the safety and feasibility of the Lungpacer Diaphragm Pacing Therapy System (DPTS) as a therapy to recondition and strengthen the diaphragm of patients who have been intubated and invasively mechanically ventilated for \> or = 7 days, have failed two or more spontaneous breathing trials (SBT), and were not hypervolemic during the latest SBT.
NCT00809783
Safety extension study of Phase 3 Osteoarthritis trials with Tanezumab
NCT01027949
This study provided/continued to provide oral treprostinil (UT-15C SR; treprostinil diethanolamine) to eligible subjects who participated in Studies TDE-PH-202, TDE-PH-203, TDE-PH-205, TDE-PH-301, TDE-PH-302, and TDE-PH-308. The study assessed the long term safety of oral treprostinil and the effect of continued treatment with oral treprostinil on exercise capacity after 1 year of treatment.
NCT04344236
For this study, 48 patients who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 will be randomly assigned to four study groups: control, saline, chlorhexidine gluconate, and povidone-iodine. Each patient will be asked to gargle with a solution of either saline, chlorhexidine gluconate, or povidone-iodine or nothing (control group) as well as spray the same solution in their nose four times daily. Patients will then be tested for COVID-19 once daily in the evening for 7 days and viral loads will be measured.
NCT01473524
The main objectives of the study were to assess the effects of Obeticholic Acid (OCA) on serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and total bilirubin, together as a composite endpoint and on safety in participants with primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC).
NCT02604667
The purpose of this study is to better understand the causes of stroke in people with cancer. Active cancer increases the risk of stroke. The investigators do not know exactly why this occurs but one possible reason is that people with cancer may have thicker blood than people without cancer. Thick blood can sometimes cause blood clots to form in the heart, which can then travel to the brain and cause stroke. This study is being done to help figure out why this and other causes of stroke occur in people with cancer. The investigators expect that information from this study will help doctors to more effectively prevent and treat stroke in individuals with cancer.
NCT03466320
This open-label Phase I study aims at assessing primarily the safety of the NKR-2 treatment administered after a non-myeloablative preconditioning regimen in r/r AML/MDS patients. This Phase I study will contain two different sequential segments. The first segment will determine the recommended investigational treatment option (schedule of preconditioning and NKR-2 dose) and the second segment will expand to a larger number of r/r AML/MDS patients.
NCT00951496
This randomized phase III trial studies bevacizumab and intravenous (given into a vein) chemotherapy to see how well they work compared with bevacizumab and intraperitoneal (given into the abdominal cavity) chemotherapy in treating patients with stage II-III ovarian epithelial cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread by blocking the growth of new blood vessels necessary for tumor growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, carboplatin, and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. It is not yet known whether giving bevacizumab together with intravenous chemotherapy is more effective than giving bevacizumab together with intraperitoneal chemotherapy in treating patients with ovarian epithelial cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer.
NCT03632954
This is an observational study to assess the safety and efficacy of MicroMatrix® alone or in combination with Cytal® Wound Matrix on primary measures of wound healing.
NCT02510794
This is a Phase II multicenter, dose-ranging, randomized, active treatment (monthly ITV injection)-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics of ranibizumab delivered through the Implant using three ranibizumab formulation arms (10 mg/mL, 40 mg/mL, and 100 mg/mL) compared with the control arm (0.5-mg monthly ITV injections of 10-mg/mL formulation) in participants with subfoveal neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD).
NCT03664986
A pudendal nerve block is a procedure where a local anesthetic is injected where the pudendal nerve is located. This allows quick pain relief to the perineum, vulva, and vagina. The purpose of this research study is see if injecting a long-acting local anesthetic, called Liposomal Bupivacaine (EXPAREL), will result in less post-operative pain after having vaginal prolapse surgery. Typical post-operative pain lasts a few days. Short-acting anesthetics only provide pain relief in the few hours after surgery. EXPAREL will add the benefit of longer acting pain relief that can last up to 72 hours with the same safety profile. EXPAREL is an FDA-approved medication. It has been used and studied extensively in gynecologic surgery for incisional pain. It has also been studied in Urology and Orthopedic surgery with an excellent safety profile with good pain relief.
NCT01258205
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of AMG 139 following multiple intravenous (IV) or subcutaneous (SC) dose administration in healthy subjects and in subjects with mild to severe Crohn's disease (CD).
NCT02805894
This study is a Phase 1/2 open-label involving 2 groups of patients newly diagnosed with either unfavorable intermediate risk or high risk prostate adenocarcinoma. One group will receive only EBRT and the other group will receive a Brachytherapy boost and EBRT. Both groups will receive treatment with androgen deprivation. There will be 2 consecutive steps, a dose escalation and a subsequent dose expansion part.
