NCT01828086
A randomized, double-blind, placebo and positive controlled, single and multiple dose study to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of CJM112 in chronic plaque-type psoriasis patients. This trial never made it to the Phase II part of this trial.
NCT02089087
This is a first-in-human study to investigate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of single intravenous and subcutaneous doses of CFZ533 in healthy subjects and intravenous doses in rheumatoid arthritis patients.
NCT02553330
A phase 2 study to find out if the drug ruxolitinib Phosphate Cream is safe and has beneficial effects in people who have alopecia areata (partial or complete hair loss) when applied to the skin.
NCT02607774
To determine whether secukinumab can alter the activity of cytochrome P450 (CYP) 3A4 using midazolam as probe substrate in patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis.
NCT01544166
The main purpose of this study is to collect data on the way gadobutrol is taken into, moves around, and is eliminated from, the body of children aged 0 to less than 2 years. The study will also evaluate safety and tolerability, and efficacy of gadobutrol. A maximum total amount of approximately 5 ml of blood will be needed for these analyses which will be drawn within 2-3 days. Gadobutrol is a contrast agent used for enhancement of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), potentially allowing better visibility of tissues in the body. Children aged under 2 years scheduled for a routine contrast-enhanced MRI examination of any body region may take part in this study, in which case they will receive gadobutrol as contrast agent intravenously at the standard dose of 0.1 mmol/kg (0.1 ml/Kg) of body weight. Only subjects without renal insufficiency of any intensity (i.e. estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate \<80% of age adjusted normal value calculated based on the Schwartz formula) will be included in the trial. The duration of this study as a whole is around 1 year and the total number of children to be enrolled is 50. A child will be expected to take part in the study for around 7 days.
NCT00526045
This is a phase I/II, open-label, multicenter study of AUY922 administered intravenously in patients with advanced solid malignancies to determine the maximum tolerated dose. Phase II expansion arms will investigate efficacy in patients with either HER2 positive or ER positive locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer. Additional patients with advanced solid malignancies will also be investigated in a separate expansion arm. Safety, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics will be assessed.
NCT01426919
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the utility of the Banyan UCH-L1/GFAP Detection Assay as an aid in the evaluation of suspected traumatic brain injury (Glasgow Coma Scale score 9-15) in conjunction with other clinical information within 12 hours of injury to assist in determining the need for a CT scan of the head.
NCT03727425
In this study, the feasibility of performing robotic navigation of peripheral airways in human subjects for the purpose of biopsying peripheral lung lesions will be evaluated.
NCT01601600
The purpose of this Proof of Concept study is to determine the effects of BYM338 on skeletal muscle volume, mass, and strength and patient function (gait speed) in non-demented elderly adults with sarcopenia and mobility limitations. In addition, this study will generate data on the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of BYM338 in older adults and its response on additional physical function measures in this population. Furthermore, the extended study duration will provide information on the stability of BYM-induced changes in skeletal muscle and patient function in this subgroup of the older population.
NCT02759146
The purpose of this study is to compare reflexology to meditative practices to reduce symptoms in cancer patients.
NCT02357576
Parenteral nutrition-associated cholestasis (PNAC) and liver disease (PNALD) are associated with significant morbidity and mortality in neonates and is felt to be exacerbated by soybean-based lipid emulsions. Much research is currently being directed at identifying ways to reduce this risk. Reduction of the dose of soybean-based lipid given as a component of parenteral nutrition is one possible strategy. In this study we will compare standard dosing of soybean-based lipid (up to 3/kg/day) with a minimized dose (1 g/kg/day) and evaluate for the development of cholestasis and adequate growth between the two groups. Longterm followup will include an assessment of neurodevelopmental outcomes at 12 and 24 months of age. Funding source - FDA OOPD
NCT03162354
To increase the accuracy of doctors' decisions to launch or forgo child abuse evaluations in their young, acutely head-injured patients, investigators have derived and validated a clinical decision rule (CDR) that detects abusive head trauma (AHT) with 96% sensitivity in pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) settings. This "CDR Implementation Trial" across eight PICU sites will assess the CDR's actual impact on AHT screening accuracy, identify factors associated with maximal physician acceptance and application of this novel AHT screening tool, and assess the sustainability of active CDR implementation strategies.
NCT04433546
This is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, parallel group study to investigate the efficacy of pemziviptadil (PB1046) by improving the clinical outcomes in hospitalized COVID-19 patients at high risk for rapid clinical deterioration, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and death. The study will enroll approximately 210 hospitalized COVID-19 patients who require urgent decision-making and treatment at approximately 20 centers in the United States.
