NCT00334880
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of NRP104 administered as a daily morning dose (30, 50, and 70mg/day) compared to placebo in adults (18-55 years of age inclusive) diagnosed with moderate to severe Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
NCT00683761
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of 131I-TM601 in the treatment of adult patients with progressive or recurrent malignant gliomas.
NCT00056225
The purpose of this study is to determine whether reduction of homocysteine levels with high-dose folate (folic acid), B6, and B12 supplementation will slow the rate of cognitive decline in persons with Alzheimer's disease.
NCT00630370
To assess the efficacy of 3 oral dosing regimens of ATI 7505 compared to placebo in patients with PDS by comparing at the end of Day 42 the percentage of patients in each treatment group who have had adequate relief of postprandial distress syndrome symptoms on at least 50% of the treatment days.
NCT00104273
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of two dose levels of rasagiline mesylate versus placebo in patients with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's Disease who are taking Aricept.
NCT00403286
The purpose of the study is to determine the appropriate dose of fluticasone propionate/formoterol fumarate that is closest to Advair Diskus (fluticasone propionate/salmeterol xinafoate using pulmonary function, safety, and levels of study drug in blood plasma in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
NCT00126724
The 13G01 clinical trial is a Phase I/II dose escalation study designed to be conducted in adults with inflammatory arthritis who have persistent moderate or severe swelling in one or more joints, without a disease severe enough to warrant a change in regimen for the next three months. The study will permit subjects who are concurrently on anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha antagonists. For subjects on disease modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), a stable regimen for inflammatory arthritis for the previous three months, with no changes in doses in the four weeks prior to screening will be required. The primary objectives are: 1. to evaluate the safety of intra-articular administration of tgAAC94 in subjects currently taking TNF-alpha antagonists, and 2. to evaluate the safety of repeat intra-articular administration of tgAAC94 (gene therapy vector).
NCT00445809
Some patients who undergo cardiovascular surgery requiring cardiopulmonary bypass will develop a kidney injury following their surgery. The purpose of this study is to take a blood sample from patients before they have this type of surgery and then at nine time points after their surgery to test their plasma for a biomarker called NGAL and compare the NGAL levels to their creatinine levels. We hypothesize that NGAL is an earlier marker for kidney injury than creatinine.
NCT00813826
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SLC022 in treating pain associated with post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN) in recently diagnosed patients.
NCT00663416
Primary objective: To assess the neurological outcome in acute ischemic stroke patients treated with NTx™-265, when compared with patients given a placebo control. Secondary objective: To assess the safety and tolerability of NTx™-265 when given to acute ischemic stroke patients.
NCT00156039
The purpose of this study is to determine whether family physician 'routine follow-up care' of women with breast cancer in remission is an acceptable alternative to the existing system of specialist follow-up. Primary outcome measure are event rates of oncological catastrophes and quality of life.
NCT00501241
The purpose of this study is to determine whether ATI-7505 is effective in the treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation.
NCT00698113
The purpose of this study is to determine how parents of children with cancer rate a parent-delivered massage therapy educational program for usability and satisfaction, and if massage therapy, provided by parents to their child with cancer, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression in the child, and parenting stress in the parent.
NCT00325962
The purpose of this study is to determine whether 6R-BH4 (sapropterin dihydrochloride) is safe and effective in the treatment of poorly controlled hypertension in the presence or absence of type 2 diabetes.
NCT00055263
The purposes of this study are to: * Test the safety of DN-101 in patients with advanced malignancies * Understand how fast the body absorbs, processes, and eliminates DN-101 * Determine the highest dose of DN-101 that is well tolerated by cancer patients * Learn how fast the body absorbs, processes, and eliminates DN-101 compared to the approved product
NCT00931034
The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of the South Beach Diet and products compared to the American Diabetic Association Diabetes Meal Plan.
NCT00134199
To evaluate the effect of 6-month administration of CP-945,598 on: * weight loss and waist circumference, * blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose * other biochemical variables like insulin, leptin, ghrelin, adiponectin, PAI 1, TNF-α and hsCRP * the relationship between the concentration of the drug on the blood and the above parameters * physical and psychosocial functioning, weight related symptoms, treatment satisfaction, appetite/hunger/satiety/craving and mood, anxiety, anhedonia and depression
NCT00105989
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of duloxetine compared with placebo in the prevention of depressive recurrences among patients with recurrent major depressive disorder.
NCT00672893
Vibration response imaging (VRI) technology, provides a radiation-free dynamic image of the lung, by visualizing vibration energy emitted during the respiration cycle (lung sounds). Airflow in the lungs during the respiration cycle creates vibrations that propagate through the lung tissue; these vibrations are affected by the structural properties of the lungs and may vary in space, time and frequency. Moreover, any structural alteration, such as a bronchial obstruction or space occupying infiltration, is reflected in a corresponding modification of the vibration response. As obstructions that occur in airways alter airflow, the VRI may provide additional lung function information prior to treatment for airway obstruction and during follow-up. Moreover, the VRI may provide the physician immediate evaluation of the improvement of air flow distribution, quantitative and qualitative measurements. Furthermore, the VRI is a non-invasive, radiation free procedure which is simple and doesn't require the level of patient effort required for lung function test and other evaluation.
NCT00637338
PF-04603629 is being investigated for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Specifically, PF-04603629 is a protein that is a combination of exendin-4 (a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) mimetic currently marketed as Byetta®) fused to human transferrin (a naturally occuring protein) in order to increase the concentration of exendin-4 in the blood. The purpose of this study is to characterize the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of PF-04603629 following multiple escalating subcutaneous doses in adult subjects with T2DM.
