NCT00138671
A One Year Clinical Trial Assessing the Usefulness and Safety of Inhaled Insulin in Diabetics with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
NCT00766376
The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of erbium lasers for dermatological cosmetic procedures.
NCT00787111
This open-label research study will continue to monitor the safety of fluoxetine in children after their completion of a previous double-blind placebo controlled clinical study, with fluoxetine. The study will also look at the effect of fluoxetine on IQ (Intelligence Quotient) over an 18 month period.
NCT00002707
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known if chemotherapy given before surgery is more effective with or without docetaxel given before or after surgery for breast cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of chemotherapy using doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide with or without docetaxel in treating women who have stage II or stage III breast cancer.
NCT00312780
This clinical study is being conducted at multiple sites to determine the activity, safety and tolerability of XL784 when given daily to patients with albuminuria due to diabetic nephropathy. XL784 is a small molecule reno-protective metalloproteinase inhibitor, inhibiting both ADAMs (including ADAM10, a target of significant interest because of its important role in blood vessel formation and cell proliferation, and ADAM17/TACE, activation of which has been associated with renal deterioration) and MMPs (including MMP-2 and MMP-9). XL784 was specifically optimized to be MMP-1 sparing, which may be clinically significant because inhibition of MMP-1 has been hypothesized to be associated with musculoskeletal toxicity.
NCT00277290
This clinical trial is being conducted at multiple sites to evaluate the activity, safety, and tolerability of XL999 when given weekly to patients with ovarian cancer that has previously been treated with platinum-based chemotherapy. XL999 is a small molecule inhibitor of multiple kinases including VEGFR, PDGFR, FGFR, FLT-3, and Src, which are involved in tumor cell growth, formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis), and metastasis.
NCT00337662
The current study has been designed to address the significance of early onset of response prospectively in patients treated with an atypical antipsychotic.
NCT00577304
The purpose of this research study is to test the safety, tolerability, and effectiveness of Topical AmphiMatrix with Nitroglycerin (MQX0503) to relieve Raynaud's symptoms and increase blood flow to the fingers.
NCT00120393
Patients with HIV who are virologically suppressed on a lopinavir/ritonavir combination highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) regimen but with elevated non-HDL cholesterol are randomized to remain on lopinavir/ritonavir or change to atazanavir/ritonavir in combination with current nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs).
NCT00135395
The purpose of this study is to compare the anti-HIV efficacy, safety and effect of serum lipids of two boosted protease inhibitor-based HAART regimens (ARV/RTV v. LPV/RTV) in HIV-1 infected subjects who have experienced their first virologic failure while receiving a NNRTI-containing HAART regimen.
NCT00396708
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using the myomo e100 wearable robotic rehabilitation system for increasing functional independence and long term rehabilitation of chronic stroke victims with a hemiparetic upper extremity.
NCT00359801
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term pulmonary and cardiovascular safety of Exubera in routine clinical practice.
NCT00238342
RATIONALE: Finding specific proteins in the blood may help doctors tell whether a patient has ovarian cancer. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying how well proteomic profiling works in diagnosing ovarian cancer in patients who are undergoing surgery for an abnormal pelvic mass.
NCT00719862
The Purpose of this study is to determine if one allergy medication (0.15% azelastine hydrochloride) is more effective than Placebo alone
NCT00810290
The Lawrence Latino Diabetes Prevention Project (LLDPP) is a community-based translational research study which aims to reduce the risk of diabetes among Latinos who have a \>30% probability of developing diabetes in the next 7.5 years per a predictive equation. The project was conducted in Lawrence, Massachusetts; a predominantly Caribbean-origin urban Latino community. Individuals were identified primarily from a community health center's patient panel, screened for study eligibility, randomized to either a usual care or a lifestyle intervention condition, and followed for one year.
NCT00506584
The purpose of this study is to determine whether very low birth weight infants (less than or equal to 1250g or about 2 3/4 pounds) born prematurely fed a diet of only human milk and human milk-derived nutrition have better health outcomes than babies fed at least some formula (made from cow's milk)or formula-derived nutrition.
NCT00691470
The purpose of this research study is to test an experimental drug ATI-5923 vs Coumadin. The study is intended to demonstrate ATI-5923 is superior to Coumadin for keeping INR values in the desired therapeutic range. Patients who require chronic anticoagulation with one or more of the following conditions are eligible for the study: atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter, prosthetic heart valve, venous thromboembolic disease, or history of myocardial infarction or cardiomyopathy will be enrolled.
NCT00455546
The study will be conducted at up to 80 centers worldwide and will be a double-blind randomized parallel group placebo controlled study among subjects with stable coronary artery disease (CAD). Subjects will be randomized to receive either placebo tablets or one of 4 orally active doses of A-002. The duration of study drug therapy will be 8 weeks.
NCT00384904
The purpose of this clinical research study is to assess the effect of Famotidine given twice daily on Atazanavir administered with Ritonavir in HIV-Infected subjects.
NCT00002851
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy may kill any tumor cells remaining after surgery. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying radiation therapy to see how well it works compared to no further therapy in treating women with stage I, stage II, or stage III breast cancer that has been surgically removed.
