NCT05822583
COVID-19 can trigger a dysregulated immune response, and previous studies have shown that immune modulation can improve outcomes in hospitalized patients. This trial is designed to determine whether intensification of immune modulation early in the course of the disease (while patients are on low flow oxygen) with abatacept (active arm) combined with standard of care (SOC) improves recovery as compared with placebo + SOC (placebo arm). For both groups, intensification of immunomodulation will be provided as part of SOC in case of signs of disease progression (patient requires high flow nasal oxygen (HFNO) or more support) and/or if the patient has rapidly increasing oxygen requirement.
NCT04665765
This phase II trial studies the effect of polatuzumab vedotin, rituximab, ifosfamide, carboplatin, and etoposide as initial salvage therapy in treating patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma that has come back (relapsed) or does not respond to treatment (refractory). Polatuzumab vedotin is a monoclonal antibody, polatuzumab, linked to a toxic agent called vedotin. Polatuzumab attaches to CD79b positive cancer cells in a targeted way and delivers vedotin to kill them. Rituximab is a monoclonal antibody that may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Chemotherapy drugs, such as ifosfamide, carboplatin, and etoposide, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving chemotherapy with immunotherapy may kill more cancer cells in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
NCT06308614
The goal of this clinical trial is investigating estetrol (E4) in women after menopause, suffering from sexual arousal disorder. The main question it aims to answer is: is 20 mg estetrol monohydrate effective in the treatment of sexual arousal disorder in women after their menopause. Participants will visit the clinic 7 times and complete a daily diary while receiving estetrol or placebo for 12 weeks. Placebo is a pill that looks the same as estetrol but has no active ingredient. Researchers will compare estetrol and placebo to see if estetrol has an effect on the sexual arousal of the participants.
NCT03635788
The purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy, safety, and durability of two different strategies to treat participants with a history of sub-optimal adherence and control of their HIV infection: long-acting (LA) antiretroviral therapy (ART) and all-oral standard of care (SOC).
NCT06183502
The goal of this observational study is to learn about awareness around PrEP use and adherence, condom use, sexual risk-taking behavior, and substance-using behaviors in men having sex with men. The main objective is to study a prospective cohort of MSM in Atlanta, Chicago, and San Diego to understand men's strategies to prevent HIV/Sexually Transmissible Infections (STIs), including PrEP use and adherence, condom use, sexual risk-taking behavior, and substance-using behaviors Participants will complete: * Quantitative surveys quarterly * HIV/ STI testing every 6 months * Qualitative assessments: focus group discussions and in-depth interviews
NCT05207865
The purpose of this study is to further evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of daily dosing of rimegepant for the prevention of episodic migraine.
NCT06905275
This is a phase 1, first-in-human (FIH) trial for the combination of UVAX-1107 and UVAX-1197, both adjuvanted with 3M-052-AF + Aluminum Hydroxide Suspension (Alum). This means it is the first time this combination of study products is being tested in people. The purpose of this study is to see if the study products are safe, if people are able to take them without becoming too uncomfortable, and how a person's immune system responds to them (a person's immune system protects them from infections and disease). Twenty-five volunteers without HIV and in overall good health will be enrolled and be in this study for a little over 1 year (56 weeks) of clinic visits (about 12 visits), with a follow-up contact 1 year after the final injection to check on their health. Study procedures will include blood draws, injections, and the collection of white blood cells and cells from their lymph nodes.
NCT05211284
Saroglitazar Magnesium 4 mg for NAFLD in People Living with HIV in the US
NCT05161481
This study is open to adults with liver cirrhosis and high blood pressure in the portal vein (main vessel going to the liver). The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called Avenciguat helps people with this condition. Participants are put into 3 groups randomly, which means by chance. Participants in 2 groups take different doses of Avenciguat as tablets twice a day. Participants in the placebo group take placebo as tablets twice a day. Placebo tablets look like Avenciguat tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants are in the study for about 8 months. During this time, they visit the study site about 14 times. At 3 of the visits, the doctors check the pressure in a liver vein. This is done with a catheter (a long thin tube) and gives information about the pressure in the portal vein. The change in blood pressure is then compared between the groups to see whether the treatment works. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.
NCT07140939
A phase 3, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of CBL-514 injection for reducing abdominal subcutaneous fat.
NCT04098146
Prospective will be collected in a minimum of 300 patients presenting with an acquired segmental mandibular defect ≥ 2 cm secondary to OSSC removal and drugs-induced osteonecrosis, and who require mandibular reconstruction.
NCT06703996
This clinical trial studies how well the InBody Band 3 fitness tracker works to improve physical activity, body composition, and quality of life in Black prostate cancer survivors. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and Black men are more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer in an advanced stage. Body composition is associated with disease progression, treatment response, and survival in cancer patients. Reducing stress and maintaining healthy levels of physical activity and sleep are important for a healthy body and improving outcomes, however, there is currently little evidence available on the physical activity, stress levels and sleep patterns in this population. Wearable health activity trackers and smart watches are tools that can be used to track physical activity, stress, sleep and body composition and have been shown to have a positive impact in many patient populations. The InBody Band 3 may be an effective method to improve physical activity, body composition and quality of life in Black prostate cancer survivors.

NCT06224543
Study 22403 is a Phase 1 / Proof of Concept exploratory investigation to assess the non-inferiority of low dose gadobutrol and SubtleGAD™, a software medical device using an Artificial Intelligence (AI) deep learning-based method to enhance the contrast signal from images acquired with low dose administration of gadobutrol (GAD) contrast. The primary objective is to demonstrate noninferiority of synthesized Central Nervous System (CNS) magnetic resonance (MR) images for 1 or 2 different gadobutrol-enhanced low-dose groups (0.01mmol/kg, and0.025 mmol/kg) compared to gadobutrol-enhanced CNS MR images at a standard dose of 0.1 mmol/kg. This investigation is a prospective, randomized, open label, multi-center study with blinded reads in participants with known or highly suspected CNS pathology. There will be at least 60 participants enrolled (30 per study arm). SubtleGAD will be used as a post-processing tool, prior to blinded read assessment of MR images acquired in either arm of the study.
