NCT03280537
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy and safety of omalizumab compared with placebo in adult patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) who have had an inadequate response to standard-of-care treatments. Study GA39688 (POLYP 1; NCT03280550) was another Phase III study by the Sponsor with identical objectives and design and was run in parallel with this study.
NCT02926638
This randomized phase II/III compares rilotumumab when given together with erlotinib hydrochloride against erlotinib hydrochloride alone in treating patients with stage IV squamous cell lung cancer that has come back after previous treatment. This is a sub-study that includes all screened patients positive for the met proto-oncogene (MET)/hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) biomarker. HGF can interact with MET and can cause tumor cells to grow more quickly. Rilotumumab may decrease the activity of HGF and may be able to shrink tumors. Erlotinib hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. It is not yet known whether giving rilotumumab with erlotinib hydrochloride works better than erlotinib hydrochloride alone (standard treatment) in treating squamous cell lung cancer.
NCT04314596
Thirty active male and female athletes will be recruited for the study. Subjects will be examined at baseline for VO2max performance. Subjects will then be stratified and randomly divided equally (50% - 50%) into an Oceanix (supplemental) or placebo condition such that baseline VO2max match. Once randomization, subjects will be baseline tested for multiple measures of muscle force capacity, muscle soreness, immune function, and endocrine function. Upon completion of baseline testing, subjects will all complete a one-day, cross-training course in Tampa, Florida. The training course is known to be extremely vigorous and causes significant muscle damage. Subjects will then be retested for muscle function at 24, and 48 hours following the course. At 24- and 48-hours subjects will be asked to repeat a simulated time trial race. In this way, we will measure repeated race performance, recovery from intense exercise, muscle damage from exercise, and immune function during multiple races.
NCT04305938
The purpose of the Kaligia Biosciences KBS Systems 1.0(b) analyte monitoring device is to measure the blood analyte levels in patients. The KBS Systems 1.0(b) device avoids the common practice of accessing the vein to draw blood for conventional laboratory analysis. Instead, the KBS Systems 1.0(b) device uses Raman Spectroscopy to acheive the measurement of various blood analytes through the use of only approximately 40µl of blood. Such a small volume of blood can be sampled via a finger prick procedure rather than needing a larger volume of blood sampled via a venipuncture. The spectra contain information of all the molecules present in the blood (RBCs, hemoglobin, glucose, sodium, potassium, etc.). From these spectra, the system is able to analyze the blood and provide results in a matter of minutes, rather than hours or even, in some cases, days.
NCT01094262
The purpose of this study is to evaluate pain relief, safety, and tolerability of a new treatment (JNJ-42160443) for moderate to severe pain of osteoarthritis of the knee in comparison to a standard pain treatment and placebo.
NCT01400139
The primary objective of this study is to characterize the long-term safety of Hydrocodone Bitartrate (HYD) tablets 20 to 120 mg once-daily in subjects with chronic nonmalignant and nonneuropathic pain.
NCT01452529
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the analgesic efficacy and safety of HYD tablets 20 to 120 mg once-daily dose compared to placebo in subjects with moderate to severe chronic low back pain uncontrolled by their current stable analgesic regimen
NCT02261220
This is a multicenter, open-label, dose-exploration and dose-expansion study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, antitumor activity, PK and immunogenicity of MEDI4736 in combination with tremelimumab in subjects with select advanced solid tumors.
NCT03440424
This study will be conducted to assess the effect of mild and moderate hepatic impairment on the pharmacokinetics (PK) of lemborexant after a single-dose administration.
NCT01400971
The purpose of this study is to identify specific patient, physician, and health system related factors associated with the progression to a more intensive regimen from initial insulin therapy for patients with type 2 diabetes.
NCT01716715
This randomized phase II trial studies how well giving cabozantinib-s-malate or paclitaxel works in treating patients with persistent or recurrent epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cavity cancer. Cabozantinib-s-malate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. It is not yet known whether cabozantinib-s-malate or paclitaxel is more effective at treating patients with persistent or recurrent epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cavity cancer.
NCT02735980
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of prexasertib when given to participants with extensive stage disease small cell lung cancer (ED-SCLC). The study will evaluate how the body processes the drug and how the drug affects the body. The study will also evaluate the association between tumor response and the participant's perceived quality of life.
NCT02315430
This phase II trial studies how well cabozantinib-s-malate works in treating patients with ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cavity cancer that has come back or is growing, spreading, or getting worse. Cabozantinib-s-malate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the growth of new blood vessels necessary for tumor growth and also by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
NCT01569295
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of the addition of idelalisib (formerly GS-1101) to bendamustine + rituximab (BR) on progression-free survival (PFS) in participants with previously treated chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)
NCT02207517
CITT-ART is a multicenter study (8 locations around the United States) of 324 children ages 9 to \<14 years with symptomatic convergence insufficiency (CI). The purpose of this study is to see if office-based therapy for convergence insufficiency (CI) improves reading ability and attention. CI is an eye-teaming problem where the eyes would like to drift outward when reading or doing close work. When eyes drift out, double vision can happen. To prevent double vision one must use extra effort to keep the eyes from going out. This extra effort can cause symptoms that can interfere with reading and working comfortably at near. These symptoms often include eyestrain, blurred vision, headaches, double vision, and loss of place when reading or performing tasks at near. In a prior study we found that therapy improves these symptoms. In this study we are looking at whether the therapy improves reading and attention
NCT00759018
This protocol allows for the treatment of pediatric patients, male and female, between the ages of 2 months and 17 years. Patients must have failed steroid treatment for Grade B-D acute GVHD.
NCT03262740
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of BMS-986195 in combination with an oral contraceptive in healthy female patients.
NCT01307267
A study of PF-05082566, a 4-1BB agonist monoclonal antibody (mAb), in patients with solid tumors or b-cell lymphomas, and in combination with rituximab in patients with CD20 positive Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL).
NCT01732770
This study will compare the effectiveness of denosumab treatment every 6 months with once yearly zoledronic acid treatment on bone mineral density (BMD) at various skeletal sites.
NCT02877615
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of S 44819 in enhancing functional recovery after an ischemic stroke.
