NCT02290028
The QP ExCELs study is designed to confirm safety and efficacy of the BIOTRONIK Sentus OTW QP left ventricular leads to satisfy FDA requirements for regulatory approval of the leads in the US. The Sentus OTW QP leads received FDA approval on May 4, 2017. Long-term safety of the BIOTRONIK Sentus OTW QP left ventricular leads will be confirmed during the ongoing post approval phase (US sites only). A protocol update was implemented on September 6, 2019 to transition the long-term follow up for the ongoing Sentus QP Study to a new EP PASSION real-world data methodology.
NCT01652157
This is a long-term study in cystic fibrosis patients who are participating in the Cystic Fibrosis Patient Registry to assess the occurrence and risk factors for a rare bowel disorder called fibrosing colonopathy (narrowing of the large intestine). Patients will be followed at their regular clinical care visits over a 10-year period and approached if they develop symptoms of fibrosing colonopathy for collection and use of further detailed information.
NCT04332991
ORCHID is a multicenter, blinded, placebo-controlled, randomized clinical trial evaluating hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of adults hospitalized with COVID-19. Patients, treating clinicians, and study personnel will all be blinded to study group assignment.
NCT00733902
Test the efficacy and safety of 3 doses in Osteoarthritis of the knee in patients.
NCT03923478
Phase 1B randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, two-cohort clinical trial of ABI-M201 in adult subjects with mildly-to-moderately active Ulcerative Colitis(UC) and ongoing treatment with mesalamine.
NCT02963961
Postoperative delirium is a significant public health concern, affecting up to 70% of elderly patients presenting for surgery. Furthermore, postoperative delirium is associated with increased mortality, persistent cognitive decline, increased hospital length of stay, and elevated healthcare costs. Unfortunately, there is a lack of evidence-based strategies that consistently and effectively reduce the risk of delirium. In fact, although the American Geriatrics Society has released guidelines for the prevention of postoperative delirium, the evidence supporting many of the proposed preventive measures has been deemed low quality. Cognitive training exercises have been shown to improve cognitive function and functional status in community-dwelling elderly adults, and benefits may last for several months to years. Specifically, training exercises have led to improved performance in attention, short-term memory, and visuospatial processing; all of which are implicated as clinical features of delirium. Cognitive training has also strengthened connectivity in brain networks implicated in postoperative delirium. Thus, given these specific neurological benefits afforded, preoperative cognitive training may provide protection against the development of postoperative delirium. As such, the aim of this pilot study is to assess the feasibility of implementing a preoperative cognitive training program for surgical patients at high-risk for delirium and other associated complications.
NCT04157309
This study will involve the collection and analysis of urine samples from non-pregnant women to determine the existence of alternating redox status between two consecutive menstrual cycles.
NCT04533204
This study compared two active cognitive interventions to evaluate whether one improved memory more than the other in patients with mild cognitive impairment. Participants were randomized to either memory strategy training or spaced retrieval training and completed memory tests before and after 3 training sessions. Participants returned 1 month after treatment to see how well they remembered the learned information. Brain scans (functional MRI) were collected before and after the interventions to see if training changed the way brain regions were functioning.
NCT01596595
Post-approval studies of implanted leads provide an opportunity to observe and assess patient outcomes and technology performance in a real-world setting. The goal of the study is to evaluate, document and report on the appropriate clinical performance, long-term reliability and the functional integrity of the Boston Scientific ENDOTAK RELIANCE® 4-SITE™ Lead and the pulse generator 4-SITE Header.
NCT01757067
Premature ventricular contractions (PVC) are a very common irregular heart beat (arrhythmias) even in patients without heart disease. Frequent PVCs are thought to occur in about 1-4% of the general population. Many patients with PVCs complain about skipping of their heart (palpitations), shortness of breath and feeling tired. In some patients PVCs may also result in weakening of the heart muscle (heart failure), which might be reversible with suppression of the PVCs.
NCT04805229
The Michigan Opioid Prescribing and Engagement Network (M-OPEN) was established in 2016 with the goal of reducing excessive opioid prescribing after surgery using evidence-based prescribing guidelines. Beginning in July 2016, M-OPEN began a statewide quality improvement campaign to educate providers and share prescribing best practices. This retrospective study examines the effect of these efforts on new persistent opioid use after surgery compared to other states where no such program existed using a difference-in-differences approach.
NCT01707394
CV185118 is a single dose Apixaban PK/PD study in pediatric participants. The objective of this study is primarily to study the PK/PD of Apixaban in pediatric participants at risk for thrombosis
NCT01054443
The primary objective of this study was to assess the efficacy of 3 dose levels of lusutrombopag (0.5 mg, 0.75 mg, and 1.0 mg) and placebo on platelet count.
NCT02578901
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usefulness of antifibrinolytic therapy with tranexamic acid (TXA) in preventing bleeding in patients who are thrombocytopenic due to primary bone marrow disorders or chemotherapy, immunotherapy and/or radiation therapy.
NCT01615120
Protocol G200712 is a Phase II, exploratory study to assess the effects of GTx-758 on serum prostate specific antigen (PSA) response ans serum PSA progression in men with Metastatic Castration Resistant Prostate Cancer (mCRPC) on Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT) with luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) agonists, LHRH antagonists, or orchidectomy. This study will also assess the venous thromboembolism (VTE) risk of lower doses of GTx-758.
NCT02489344
Primary Objective: To assess the long-term safety of GZ/SAR402671 in adult male participants with Fabry disease who previously completed study ACT13739 (NCT02489344). Secondary Objective: To assess the long-term effect of GZ/SAR402671 on pharmacodynamic and exploratory efficacy endpoints in adult male participants with Fabry disease who previously completed study ACT13739.

NCT02048007
The long-term goal of this study is to more precisely define the role of mass azithromycin treatments as an intervention for reducing childhood morbidity and increasing growth, and for the potential selection of antibiotic resistance. The investigators propose a set of 3 cluster-randomized trials in Malawi, Niger, and Tanzania comparing communities randomized to oral azithromycin with those randomized to placebo. To assess the generalizability of the intervention, investigators will monitor for antibiotic resistance, which could potentially limit adoption of mass antibiotic treatments. The investigators will also assess several measures of infectious diseases. The investigators hypothesize that mass azithromycin treatments will reduce childhood morbidity and will be accompanied by an acceptable level of antibiotic resistance.
