NCT03653026
The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of upadacitinib compared to placebo in inducing clinical remission (per Adapted Mayo score) in participants with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC).
NCT04347343
The purpose of this feasibility study is to determine the initial efficacy of early combined Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) and Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) in addition to standard rehabilitation in 15 subjects after Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA). The second aim is to determine the feasibility and patient perceptions of combined NMES and BFR by assessing: 1) adherence, 2) satisfaction and 3) safety.
NCT03342742
The proposed research will determine the feasibility of delivering two behavioral weight loss interventions for 1 year in adults with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) who are overweight or obese. The study will also compare these two interventions in terms of safety, acceptability, and tolerability. Last, this pilot trial will provide initial insight into a) biological changes and b) changes in kidney growth with each of the two weight loss interventions.
NCT01831076
This phase II trial studies how well exemestane before surgery works in treating postmenopausal patients with newly diagnosed estrogen receptor positive stage II-III breast cancer. Estrogen can cause the growth of breast cancer cells. Hormone therapy using exemestane may fight breast cancer by blocking the use of estrogen by the tumor cells.
NCT02851407
This study is to compare the efficacy and safety of defibrotide prophylaxis in addition to best supportive care versus best supportive care alone in the prevention of hepatic veno- occlusive disease (VOD) in adult and pediatric patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplant who are at high risk or very high risk of developing VOD.
NCT03679884
Study to assess the long term safety and tolerability of daridorexant in adult and elderly subjects suffering from difficulties to sleep
NCT03107611
To establish the bioequivalence between test drug, Pimecrolimus Cream, 1% with that of reference listed drug, Elidel® (pimecrolimus) Cream 1%, in the treatment of mild to moderate Atopic Dermatitis. To establish superiority of each active treatment over the placebo.
NCT02227862
To test whether Mylan's insulin glargine once daily is non-inferior to Lantus® once daily (based on change in HbA1c from baseline to 24 weeks) when administered in combination with mealtime insulin lispro.
NCT02227875
To test whether Mylan's insulin glargine once daily is non-inferior to Lantus® once daily (both administered in combination with other anti-diabetic drugs) based on the change in HbA1c from baseline to 24 weeks
NCT03529773
The study will describe the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of up to 6 RSV vaccine formulations when administered alone or concomitantly with seasonal inactivated influenza vaccine (SIIV).
NCT02442414
The purpose of this study is to determine the maximum tolerated dose of KBP-5209 as a single agent when given orally to adult patients with advanced solid tumors that have progressed despite standard therapy, or where there is no standard therapy.
NCT01693692
The purpose of this study study is to determine whether TD-9855 is effective in treating patients with fibromyalgia.
NCT04156100
This study is an open-label, Phase 1 study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, PK, and pharmacodynamic profiles of AGEN1223 as a single-agent and in combination with balstilimab, as well as to assess the maximum tolerated dose and determine the RP2D of AGEN1223 as a single-agent and in combination with balstilimab in subjects with advanced solid tumors.
NCT04539262
The primary objective of this study is to characterize the impact of inhaled remdesivir (RDV) on severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) viral load in participants with early stage coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
NCT02369653
The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of a blood thinning drug called Apixaban versus no administration of a blood thinning drug, in preventing blood clots in children with leukemia or lymphoma. Patients must be receiving chemotherapy, including asparaginase, and have a central line (a catheter inserted for administration of medications and blood sampling)
NCT03552393
Ascertain the starting dose of Mircera given subcutaneously for the maintenance treatment of anemia in pediatric participants with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on dialysis or not yet on dialysis when switching from stable subcutaneous (SC) maintenance treatment with epoetin alfa, epoetin beta, or darbepoetin alfa.
NCT03925935
A phase 1, open label, multi-center trial of AB-205 in adults with Hodgkin or non-Hodgkin lymphoma who are in chemo-sensitive remission undergoing high-dose therapy, with or without radiation, and autologous stem cell transplantation (HDT-ASCT). Subjects will receive AB-205 infusion following autologous stem cell transfusion on Day 0.
NCT04348656
There is currently no treatment available for COVID-19, the acute respiratory illness caused by the novel SAR-CoV-2. Convalescent plasma from patients who have recovered from COVID-19 that contains antibodies to the virus is a potential therapy. On March 25th, 2020, the FDA approved the use of convalescent plasma under the emergency investigational new drug (eIND) category. Randomized trials are needed to determine the efficacy and safety of COVID-19 convalescent plasma for acute COVID-19 infection. The objective of the CONCOR-1 trial is to determine the efficacy of transfusion of COVID-19 convalescent plasma to adult patients admitted to hospital with COVID-19 infection at decreasing the frequency of in-hospital mortality in patients hospitalized for COVID-19. It is hypothesized that treating hospitalized COVID-19 patients with convalescent plasma early in their clinical course will reduce the risk of death, and that other outcomes will be improved including risk of intubation, and length of ICU and hospital stay. This pan-Canadian clinical trial has the potential to improve patient outcomes and reduce the burden on health care resources including reducing the need for ICU beds and ventilators.
