NCT00570986
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and efficacy of 2 doses of ABT-874 versus placebo in the treatment of subjects with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis.
NCT00004011
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known if surgery plus combination chemotherapy is more effective than surgery alone for non-small cell lung cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of surgery with or without combination chemotherapy in treating patients who have non-small cell lung cancer.
NCT00003745
Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of topotecan in treating children who have recurrent, relapsed, or refractory sarcoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
NCT00006102
Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of rebeccamycin analogue in treating children who have solid tumors or non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
NCT01198873
Primary Objective: \- Evaluate the effect of dronedarone versus placebo (standard therapy) in slowing the progression of adverse left atrial remodeling in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) following 12 months of treatment. Secondary Objectives: * Evaluate the effects of dronedarone versus placebo on left atrial function; * Evaluate the effects of dronedarone versus placebo on left atrial dimension; * Evaluate the effects of dronedarone versus placebo on left ventricular function (LVEF, E, E', A, E/E') * Evaluate the safety and tolerability of dronedarone.
NCT00427011
Phase IIb open-label extension study for patients with Parkinson's Disease. All patients will receive active study drug. The study will involve outpatient visits only. Patients who completed Study E2007-A001-214 (Cohorts I and II) and who meet inclusion/exclusion criteria will be enrolled and enter the 12-week Titration Phase (from "Dispense Study Drug" at Week 0 \[Visit 2\] through Week 12 \[Visit 7\]) followed by the Maintenance Phase (from Week 12 \[Visit 7\] to end of study).
NCT00003288
Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of tirapazamine plus cyclophosphamide in treating children who have refractory solid tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells.
NCT00002705
Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of topotecan in treating children with refractory leukemia. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
NCT00195260
To evaluate the safety and tolerability of oral SKI-606 (bosutinib) administered on a daily schedule to subjects with advanced malignant solid tumors and to define a maximum tolerated dose (MTD) in this subject population.
NCT00003191
Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of fenretinide in treating children who have solid tumors that have not responded to standard therapy. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
NCT00316277
The purpose of this study is to determine whether treatment outcome for subjects dependent on prescription opioid analgesics can be improved by adding individual drug counseling to the prescription of buprenorphine/naloxone with standard medical management. This will be examined during: a) an initial four-week treatment with taper; b) a 12-week stabilization treatment for those who do not respond successfully to the initial treatment; and c) a long-term follow-up assessment at 1.5 years, 2.5 years, and 3.5 years after treatment.
NCT00003765
Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of O6-benzylguanine and carmustine in treating children who have refractory CNS tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells.
NCT00005809
RATIONALE: New diagnostic procedures such as computed tomographic colonography may provide a less invasive method of identifying patients who have colorectal neoplasia. PURPOSE: Diagnostic study to compare the effectiveness of computerized tomographic colonography with that of standard diagnostic procedures in detecting colorectal neoplasia.
NCT00055835
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, paclitaxel, gemcitabine, and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Giving chemotherapy before radiation therapy, and combining chemotherapy with radiation therapy, may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of neoadjuvant gemcitabine, paclitaxel, and carboplatin followed by cisplatin and radiation therapy in treating patients who have locally advanced or recurrent carcinoma (cancer) of the urothelium.
NCT00164125
To evaluate the safety of extended use of polyethyleneglycol3350 laxative in constipated patients.
NCT00447265
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic, multisystem, autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks its own normal tissues. This abnormal autoimmune response can result in damage to many parts of the body, including the skin, joints, lungs, heart, brain, intestines, and kidneys. Kidney problems occur in 60-75 % of lupus patients. The development of lupus-related kidney disease (called lupus nephritis) is associated with an overall worse prognosis. SLE is usually treated with drugs that try to block inflammation caused by the immune system. These treatments can create their own problems and they do not cure lupus. The drugs that are often used to treat lupus nephritis include prednisone (steroids), cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan), azathioprine (AZA or Imuran), and mycophenolate mofetil (MMF or Cellcept). The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of etanercept compared to placebo in combination with standard of care to treat individuals with active lupus nephritis.
NCT00137345
The purpose of this study is to determine if one drug is superior to another with regard to safety and the preservation of renal function after a kidney transplant.
