NCT00516139
This study is being conducted to determine the safety and tolerability of lamotrigine (LTG) in elderly patients with epilepsy. This study will be carried out using an extended-release formulation of lamotrigine (LTG-XR) that will allow once-a-day dosing.
NCT00976391
This study will examine the safety and efficacy of albiglutide in combination with insulin glargine as compared with the combination of insulin glargine and preprandial lispro insulin in subjects with type 2 diabetes.
NCT01257438
The primary purpose of this study is to demonstrate that the FLUENCY® PLUS Endovascular Stent Graft can effectively and safely treat in-stent restenotic lesions in the venous outflow of the Arteriovenous (AV) access circuit of hemodialysis patients with either of the two predominant vascular access types - those with an AV graft and those with an AV fistula.
NCT00839527
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and efficacy of albiglutide in subjects with type 2 diabetes
NCT00838903
The purpose of this study is to determine if albiglutide is safe and effective in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
NCT00033020
The purpose of this study is to test the utilization of incentive values (considerably lower than those typically used in research clinics) to motivate clients to attend treatment and initiate and sustain abstinence.
NCT02589236
This will be a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, parallel group study. The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of Cavosonstat (N91115) in adult patients with CF who are homozygous for the F508del-CFTR mutation and being treated with lumacaftor/ivacaftor (Orkambi™).
NCT00108758
This trial is conducted in Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, and the United States of America (USA). The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of secondary prophylactic treatment with NovoSeven® in haemophilia A and B patients with inhibitors.
NCT00108797
This trial is conducted in the United States of America (USA). This study compares the effectiveness and safety of NovoSeven® to FEIBA (FEIBA VH) in haemophilia patients with inhibitors being treated for joint bleeds.
NCT00318383
The purpose of this study is to determine whether vaccination with NicVAX will result in a higher continuous abstinence rate than vaccination with placebo in smokers who want to quit smoking. In addition, two different formulations and dosing schedules will be studied, to select the dose and dosing schedule which generates the highest level of anti-nicotine antibodies. The primary study period is 12 months, which was extended by amendment to include up to 2 years of observations.
NCT01134042
The purpose of the study is to compare the efficacy and safety of fluticasone furoate/vilanterol (GW642444) inhalation powder administered once daily each evening with fluticasone furoate inhalation powder administered alone once daily each evening in adolescent and adult subjects 12 years of age and older with persistent bronchial asthma over a 24-week period.
NCT00500318
This study evaluated the effect of inhaled aclidinium bromide on exercise endurance and in reducing resting and dynamic lung hyperinflation in patients with moderate to severe COPD. It was 9 weeks in duration, consisting of; a 2-week run-in period, 6 weeks of double-blind treatment, and a 1-week follow-up phone call. All patients meeting the eligibility criteria were randomized to one of two treatment groups: aclidinium bromide or placebo.
NCT00082485
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of baclofen for the treatment of cocaine dependence.
NCT00970268
The purpose of this extension study is to evaluate the long-term safety, tolerability, and efficacy of inhaled aclidinium bromide at two dose levels in patients with moderate to severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This study will be 54 weeks in duration; a 52-week double-blind treatment period and 2 week follow-up phone call, following a 12 week lead-in study. All patients will be randomized from the lead-in study at one of two doses of aclidinium.
NCT00084175
The purpose of this study is to evaluate a five-session Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Disease (HIV/AIDS) group therapy designed specifically for heterosexual men. This therapy is compared to standard HIV/AIDS education, which generally consists of a single session of HIV education.
NCT00027300
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and efficacy of natalizumab in the treatment of individuals who have been diagnosed with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis (MS). It is hoped that natalizumab will prevent certain types of white blood cells from moving out of the bloodstream into organs, including the brain, that are being damaged by autoimmune disease (a disease in which the body's own immune system attacks certain organs). These white blood cells are thought to cause inflammation that can result in lesions (small areas of damage) in the brain. These lesions are thought to be the cause of relapses and disability in MS.
NCT00102037
This trial is conducted in the United States of America (USA). The purpose of this clinical research trial is to understand how safe and effective Recombinant Activated FVII is for reducing bleeding and blood transfusions in patients undergoing spinal fusion surgery.
