NCT04190524
Examining the effectiveness of cricoid pressure using ultrasound imaging. Pulmonary aspiration of gastric contents during tracheal intubation, although rare in pediatrics, is a potentially catastrophic complication of anesthesia. Cricoid pressure is applied during rapid sequence induction to occlude the esophagus and prevent aspiration of gastric contents. Accumulating evidence in adults suggests that cricoid pressure often is not effective, either because the esophagus normally lies lateral to the cricoid cartilage, or because downward pressure on the cricoid cartilage laterally displaces (rather than compresses) the esophagus. The investigator proposes to examine the effectiveness of cricoid pressure in children in the peri-operative setting using non-invasive ultrasound imaging. Using this approach, the investigator will investigate the normal anatomical relationship of the esophagus and the cricoid cartilage, as well as how cricoid pressures influences this relationship. Further, the investigator will examine whether alternatives to downward cricoid pressure, such as laterally directed pressure, are more effective at occluding the esophagus.
NCT06923397
This study aims to see if a 12-week exercise program designed to reduce long periods of inactivity is feasible in newly diagnosed lymphoma participants receiving R-CHOP or POLA-R-CHP chemotherapy treatments, and whether it can improve heart health and reduce chemotherapy drug side effects.
NCT05104476

NCT06299111
This study is researching 2 different experimental drugs called REGN9933 and REGN7508 (called "study drugs"). The study is focused on adults undergoing a placement of a catheter in the vein, also called a 'PICC line'. The aim of the study is to see how effective the study drug is at preventing venous thromboembolism (VTE) and other related disease after catheter placement. The study is looking at several other research questions, including: * What side effects may happen from taking the study drug * How much study drug is in the blood at different times * Whether the body makes antibodies against the study drug (which could make the study drug less effective or could lead to side effects)
NCT03793166
This phase III trial compares the usual treatment (treatment with ipilimumab and nivolumab followed by nivolumab alone) to treatment with ipilimumab and nivolumab, followed by nivolumab with cabozantinib in patients with untreated renal cell carcinoma that has spread to other parts of the body. The addition of cabozantinib to the usual treatment may make it work better. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Cabozantinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. It is not yet known how well the combination of cabozantinib and nivolumab after initial treatment with ipilimumab and nivolumab works in treating patients with renal cell cancer that has spread to other parts of the body.
NCT05543616
The purpose of this clinical trial is to learn about the safety, extent of the side effects, and immune responses of the study vaccine (called variant-adapted BNT162b2 RNA-based vaccine) in healthy children. The trial is divided into 5 individual studies or substudies based on age group and prior history of COVID-19 vaccinations. All participants in each of the 5 sub-studies will receive study vaccine as a shot depending on what group they are in. * Substudy A design: Phase 1 includes participants 6 months through less than 4 years 3 months of age who have not received a previous coronavirus vaccination (COVID-19 vaccine naïve) and will receive 3 doses of study vaccine as their initial series, followed by a fourth dose of study vaccine. Phase 2/3 includes participants 6 months through less than 5 years of age who have not received a previous coronavirus vaccination (COVID-19 vaccine naive) and will receive 1, 2, or 3 doses of study vaccine, depending on what group they are in. * Substudy B design: includes participants 6 months through less than 5 years of age who have either received 2 or 3 prior doses of BNT162b2 and will receive study vaccine as their third or fourth dose. * Substudy C design: Phase 1 includes participants 6 months through less than 5 years of age who have received 3 prior doses of BNT162b2 and will receive study vaccine as their fourth dose. * Substudy D design: includes participants 5 through less than12 years of age who have received 2 or 3 prior doses of BNT162b2 and will receive study vaccine as their third or fourth dose. * Substudy E design: includes participants 5 through less than 12 years of age who have not received a previous coronavirus vaccination (COVID-19 vaccine naive) and will receive a single dose of study vaccine.
NCT01989585
This phase I/II trial studies the side effects and best dose of dabrafenib, trametinib, and navitoclax and to see how well they work in treating patients with BRAF mutant melanoma or solid tumors that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic) or cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable). Dabrafenib and trametinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Navitoclax is in a class of medications called B-cell lymphoma-2 (BCL-2) inhibitors. It may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking Bcl-2, a protein needed for tumor cell survival. Giving navitoclax, dabrafenib, and trametinib may help shrink tumors in patients with melanoma.
NCT05232669
The COcoa Supplement and Multivitamin Outcomes Study (COSMOS; NCT02422745) is a randomized clinical trial of cocoa extract supplement (containing a total of 500 mg/d flavanols, including 80 mg. (-)-epicatechins), and a standard multivitamin supplement to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer among men aged 60 years and older and women aged 65 years and older. This ancillary study is being conducted among participants in COSMOS and will examine whether the cocoa extract supplement or the multivitamin supplement improve musculoskeletal health and prevent falls and declining physical performance in the increasing number of older adults in the U.S. with potential for clinical and public health benefits.
NCT06850363

The study consists of a baseline evaluation and 1-week training period (Week 0), a 4-week stimulation period (Weeks 1-4), and a follow-up visit (Week 5), for a total expected duration of participation for each subject of six weeks.
NCT05929079
The purpose of this study is to is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of retatrutide in participants with type 2 diabetes in participants who have obesity or overweight (J1I-MC-GZBK master protocol) including a subset of participants who have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) (J1I-MC-GSA2). The study will last about 89 weeks and will include up to 24 visits.
NCT04164082
This phase II trial studies the effect of adding pembrolizumab to gemcitabine in treating patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer whose cancer does not respond to Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) treatment. Chemotherapy drugs, such as gemcitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the patient's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Adding pembrolizumab to gemcitabine may delay the return of BCG-unresponsive bladder cancer for longer period compared to gemcitabine alone.
NCT06015308
This is a Phase 2, multicenter, randomized, double-blind placebo controlled, 2-arm study to evaluate the effect of amlitelimab on vaccine antibody responses, and the safety of amlitelimab concurrently administered with non-live vaccines in adult participants with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD). The purpose of this study is to compare the immune responses to concomitantly administered Boostrix (tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis \[Tdap\]) and Pneumovax 23 (PPSV) vaccines in adult participants with moderate-to-severe AD treated with amlitelimab versus placebo. The study will evaluate the percentage of participants achieving a positive anti-tetanus response at Week 16 (primary endpoint) and a positive anti-pneumococcal response at Week 16 (key secondary endpoint). Study details include: The study duration will be up to 36 weeks (for participants not entering the LTS17367 \[RIVER-AD\]). The screening period will be 9 days to 4 weeks. The treatment duration will be up to 16 weeks. The post-treatment safety follow-up period will be16 weeks. The number of visits will be up to 7 (or 6 for those entering LTS17367 \[RIVER-AD\]).
NCT01841736
This randomized phase II trial studies how well pazopanib hydrochloride works in treating patients with carcinoid tumors that are growing, spreading, or getting worse. Pazopanib hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
NCT06619509
This study is open to adults with solid tumours who received at least 4 cycles of treatment with brigimadlin in a previous study. The goal of this study is to find out how well people with solid tumours tolerate long-term treatment with brigimadlin. Brigimadlin is a so-called MDM2 inhibitor that was being developed to treat cancer. All participants take brigimadlin as tablets once every 3 weeks at the study site. At study visits, doctors check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. At some study visits, doctors also check the size of the tumour and whether it has spread to other parts of the body. Participants are in the study as long as they benefit from treatment and can tolerate it.
NCT06049017

NCT05985681
This phase I trial tests the safety, side effects, and best dose of RG1-virus-like particle (VLP) in preventing human papillomavirus (HPV)-related cancers in women. RG1-VLP is a vaccine that aims to protect against rare HPV types not targeted by currently approved HPV vaccines. HPV is a common sexually-transmitted infection that can cause certain genital and oral cancers. RG1-VLP contains a protein of HPV type 16 (HPV16) with a slightly different structure than the licensed Gardasil-9 vaccine. Gardasil-9 is approved by the Federal Drug Administration to help protect against diseases caused by some types of HPV. Gardasil-9 also contains 9 different HPV proteins. Both vaccines contain alum to stimulate the immune system. The usual approach for the prevention of HPV-related cancers for patients who are at increased risk is to consider the currently approved HPV vaccine like Gardasil-9, as well as to be followed closely by their doctor to watch for the development of cancer via routine pap smears. This trial may allow researchers to find out whether the RG1-VLP vaccine can safely trigger an immune response against HPV in healthy women and if it is better or worse than the usual approach for the prevention of HPV-related cancers.
NCT06533098
