NCT06611501
The goal of this pilot trial is to learn if a novel non-hormonal treatment, metformin hydrochloride, works to treat pelvic pain in young women with endometriosis. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Is metformin superior to placebo in alleviating pain symptoms in young women with endometriosis? * Does metformin alter systemic inflammatory markers over 6 months in young women with endometriosis? Researchers will compare metformin to a placebo (a look-alike substance that contains no drug) to see if metformin works to treat pelvic pain. Participants will: * Take drug metformin or a placebo every day for 6 months * Visit the clinic three times: once at baseline (pre-treatment), once at 3 months, and once at 6 months * Keep a daily symptom diary to track pain, bleeding, and usage of any pain medications
NCT01366092
Chronic GVHD is a medical condition that may occur after a bone marrow, stem cell or cord blood transplant. The donor's immune system may recognize the your body (the host) as foreign and attempt to 'reject' it. This process is known as graft-versus-host-disease. It is thought that IL-2 may help control chronic GVHD by stopping the donor's immune system from 'rejecting' your body. In this research study, we are looking to see how IL-2 can be used in combination with steroids to treat cGVHD.
NCT03394365
The purpose of this study is to determine the clinical benefit and characterize the safety profile of tabelecleucel for the treatment of Epstein-Barr virus-associated post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease (EBV+ PTLD) in the setting of (1) solid organ transplant (SOT) after failure of rituximab (SOT-R) and rituximab plus chemotherapy (SOT-R+C) or (2) allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) after failure of rituximab.
NCT05527184
IIMGN151-1001 is a Phase 1, first in human, open-label dose-escalation, optimization, and expansion study designed to characterize the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), immunogenicity, and preliminary antitumor activity of IMGN151 in adult participants with recurrent endometrial cancer; recurrent, high-grade serous epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal cancers; or recurrent cervical cancers. All participants will be, in the opinion of the investigator, appropriate for nonplatinum single-agent therapy for their next line of therapy.
NCT06679946
The purpose of this study is to obtain safety, efficacy, and pharmacodynamic data on the use of vutrisiran in patients with ATTR amyloidosis with cardiomyopathy who continued on extended use of vutrisiran, or switched from patisiran.
NCT07422571
The purpose of this study is to learn if a novel online single-session intervention can help improve body dissatisfaction in new moms. The active intervention condition, Body Acceptance After Baby (BABI), uses acceptance-based skills to help participants cope with body dissatisfaction. BABI will be evaluated against another active intervention condition (a brief infographic that provides psychoeducation about body image during postpartum) and a waitlist control condition.
NCT02076113
The purpose of the study is to determine the optimal surgical approach (ventral vs dorsal) for patients with multi-level cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM). There are no established guidelines for the management of patients with CSM, which represents the most common cause of spinal cord injury and dysfunction in the US and in the world. This study aims to test the hypothesis that ventral surgery is associated with superior Short Form-36 physical component Score (SF-36 PCS) outcome at one year follow-up compared to dorsal approaches and that both ventral and dorsal surgery improve symptoms of spinal cord dysfunction measured using the modified Japanese Orthopedic Association Score (mJOA). A secondary hypothesis is that health resource utilization for ventral surgery, dorsal fusion, and laminoplasty surgery are different. A third hypothesis is that cervical sagittal balance post-operatively is a significant predictor of SF-36 PCS outcome.
NCT06595862
This study is an open pilot usability trial to test the 1) usability of a newly developed mobile health intervention to help manage suicidal ideation and alcohol use problems and 2) feasibility of research protocols with emerging adults (18-29 year-olds) who present to the emergency department.
NCT05798520
In this study, researchers will learn more about a study drug called BIIB091 in participants with MS who may be experiencing relapses. It is a 2-part study. In Part 1, one set of participants will take either BIIB091 or diroximel fumarate (DRF). In Part 2, a different set of participants will take either a combination of BIIB091 and DRF or DRF alone. The goal of the study is to learn more about the safety of BIIB091 and to compare the effects of the study drug when taken alone or together with DRF. The main question researchers are trying to answer are: * How many participants have new or worsening medical problems (adverse events) after taking BIIB091 or DRF? * How many new areas of inflammation occur in the brain after treatment with BIIB091 and DRF? Researchers will use magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans to compare images of the brain before and after treatment. They will also explore the effect of BIIB091 and DRF on the heart using electrocardiograms (ECGs). The study will be done as follows: * After screening, participants who joined Part 1 will be randomly assigned to receive either a high or low dose of BIIB091, or the standard dose of DRF. * The results of Part 1 will be used to choose the best dose of BIIB091 to use in Part 2. * Participants who join Part 2 will be randomly assigned to receive either a standard dose of DRF, a combo of BIIB091 and the standard dose of DRF, or a combo of BIIB91 with a low dose of DRF. * Neither the researchers nor the participants will know which drug or dose the participants will receive in either part of the study. * The treatment period will last 48 weeks in each part of the study. Participants will take the drugs by mouth 2 times a day. * Each part will also have a follow-up safety period that lasts up to 2 weeks. * In total, participants in each part will have 20 study visits, or more if they have a relapse. The total study duration for participants will be up to 54 weeks.
NCT07181109
The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether zilebesiran versus placebo reduces the risk of cardiovascular (CV) death, nonfatal myocardial infarction (MI), nonfatal stroke, or heart failure (HF) events. This is an event-driven study that will continue until the targeted number of positively adjudicated primary endpoint clinical outcome events (COEs) have been reached.
NCT04738487
Researchers are looking for new ways to treat people with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that is PD-L1 positive. * Metastatic means cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. * PD-L1 positive means that PD-L1 is found on the cancer cells. PD-L1 is a protein that can help the cancer hide from the body's immune system. The goal of this study is to learn if people who receive vibostolimab and pembrolizumab live longer overall and without the cancer getting worse than people who receive pembrolizumab alone.
NCT06597006
This is a pivotal phase III study designed to evaluate safety, tolerability, and efficacy of inclisiran in children (aged 2 to \<12 years) with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH) and elevated low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDLC).
