NCT00346164
This phase III trial is studying observation to see how well a risk based treatment strategy works in patients with soft tissue sarcoma. In the study, patients are assigned to receive surgery +/- radiotherapy +/- chemotherapy depending on their risk of recurrence. Sometimes, after surgery, the tumor may not need additional treatment until it progresses. In this case, observation may be sufficient. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as ifosfamide and doxorubicin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving chemotherapy and radiation therapy before surgery may make the tumor smaller and reduce the amount of normal tissue that needs to be removed. Giving these treatments after surgery may kill any tumor cells that remain after surgery.
NCT01676350
By doing this study, the investigators hope to learn whether patients with difficult to obtain IV access who are treated with IO access are more satisfied with their care and have better outcomes. The investigators are specifically studying the time difference between groups and the difference in the number of attempts required to obtain vascular access and begin to treat with fluids and medications. The study will also measure patient satisfaction and procedural pain, the frequency of central line placement, the length of stay in the hospital and emergency department, and adverse events to intravascular access to determine whether IO access can improve these measures. The investigators hypothesize that the use of a protocol utilizing an IO device for select patients with failed IV access will reduce the time requirements to obtain vascular access, reduce the number of attempts needed to obtain IV access, reduce the ED LOS, and have no negative impact on patient satisfaction compared to the current ED practices.

NCT03969589
Women represent the fastest growing population within the VHA. Many are of reproductive age and experience mental health concerns. Women with mental illness are at greater risk for unplanned pregnancy and poor pregnancy outcomes due to factors related to mental health and mental health treatment. Similarly, mental health concerns (e.g., impact of pregnancy on mental illness, psychiatric medications and pregnancy) can affect reproductive life goals and plans. Reproductive life planning (RLP) interventions that include considerations and concerns women Veterans with mental illness face are needed. The investigators adapted existing RLP materials to create an interactive, individualized, client-centered RLP intervention designed to help women Veterans with mental illness develop a mental health-informed reproductive life plan and reproductive life goals (RLP-MH). The current study aims to determine if the RLP-MH intervention is feasible and acceptable to women Veterans and if it increases engagement in behaviors to address RLP goals.
NCT05003141
Product: PSB202 is a novel biological entity consisting of two engineered monoclonal antibodies, an Fc-enhanced humanized type II anti-CD20 IgG1 (PSB102) and a humanized anti-CD37 IgG1 (PSB107), that target B-cells. PSB202 is manufactured to work as a single product with the two components of PSB202 enabling a distinct dual target-specific antibody directed cell killing of B-cells. Study: Multi-center-, International Phase 1a/1b (Escalation/Expansion) study in patients with indolent-, relapsed-, B-cell malignancies. The Phase 1a (Dose Escalation) part of study follows a 3+3 design.
NCT03688243
The investigators wish to better understand the role of the choriocapillaris (CC) in the formation and progression of non-exudative in age related macular degeneration (armd) by imaging the retinal pigment epithelium (rpe) and the choroidal microvasculature and by studying their inter-dependence to determine if the loss of the CC could prove useful as an anatomic clinical trial endpoint in future drug trials.
NCT04469140
NCT03227029
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the infectivity, safety, and immunogenicity of the recombinant live-attenuated respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccines RSV ΔNS2/Δ1313/I1314L or RSV 276 when delivered as nose drops to RSV-seronegative infants 6 to 24 months of age. This study was a companion study to Center for Immunization Research (CIR) 321.
NCT04907409
This is a single arm study of home monitoring with the NVHO for 5 weeks with office visits at enrollment, Week 1 and Week 5 (Exit Visit) and, when applicable, Interim Visit(s) triggered by ongoing review by the Reading Center. The study will enroll subjects diagnosed with NV-AMD in at least one eye with attention to the proportion of eyes with IRF and/or SRF. The enrolled eligible subjects will be instructed to self-image the study eye(s) once daily for 5 weeks using a NVHO device at home with scheduled in-office examinations at Week 1, Week 5 and Interim Visits, when applicable, with additional in-office Cirrus volume scans acquired at these office visits. The self-imaging data on the NVHO will be automatically uploaded to the Notal Health Cloud and from there the reconstructed volume scans will sent to the study database.
