This study will compare the effectiveness of two surgical procedures -laparotomy versus drainage - commonly used to treat necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) or isolated intestinal perforations (IP) in extremely low birth weight infants (≤1,000 g). Infants diagnosed with NEC or IP requiring surgical intervention, will be recruited. Subjects will be randomized to receive either a laparotomy or peritoneal drainage. Primary outcome is impairment-free survival at 18-22 months corrected age.

Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pepinemab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread.

This is a prospective, multi-center, pilot feasibility study to document the effects of adventitial delivery of temsirolimus or temsirolimus with dexamethasone sodium phosphate injection, USP, after revascularization of femoropopliteal lesions in symptomatic patients with moderate to severe claudication (Rutherford 2-3) or critical limb ischemia (CLI) with rest pain (Rutherford 4). Subjects will be followed for up to 60 months post index procedure.

The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability, efficacy, and biomarker response of BMS-986165 administered orally in participants with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis. The study was originally designed to test deucravacitinib at two doses for 12 weeks compared to placebo. After the initial 12-Week period, all subjects receive active therapy (open-label extension). With protocol amendment 2, one of the dose treatment arms is being removed from the 12-week double blind period with no change to the open-label extension.

This phase I/II trial studies the side effects and best dose of lenalidomide when given together with rituximab-ifosfamide-carboplatin-etoposide (R-ICE) and to see how well they work in treating patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma that has returned after a period of improvement (relapsed) and that has not responded to previous treatment (refractory). Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as rituximab, ifosfamide, carboplatin, etoposide, and lenalidomide, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving lenalidomide with R-ICE may be a better treatment for patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.

A 24-week, (two 12-week stages), randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of crofelemer in providing prophylaxis of diarrhea in adult patients with solid tumors treated with targeted cancer therapy-containing treatment regimens. Diarrhea grading will be done according to the National Cancer Institute Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (NCI CTCAE) version 5.0. Patients will be randomized 1:1 to placebo or crofelemer and will be stratified by the type of targeted cancer therapy and the tumor type. Placebo and/or crofelemer will be dispensed at Visit 1/Day 1 with the concurrent start of the targeted cancer therapy regimen. The initial Stage I double-blind placebo-controlled primary treatment phase will occur over a 12-week period to accommodate approximately 3 cycle chemotherapy cancer treatment dosing-cycles. The Primary and Secondary Endpoints will be analyzed after the last patient last visit (LPLV) of Stage I. After completing the Stage I double-blind, placebo-controlled primary treatment phase, the subjects will have the option to remain on their assigned treatment arm and reconsented to enter into the Stage II extension phase. Reconsent will be required to enter into Stage II. For subjects who do not reconsent, visit 5 will be the last study visit.

The goal of this study is to improve the vestibular implant's ability to reduce the vestibular-dependent perceptual, postural, and visual symptoms that affect patients with severe peripheral vestibular damage. The long-term research plan is focused on exploring the three questions which must be answered to assess the clinical utility of a vestibular implant (VI) in vestibulopathic patients - i) how can information transfer from the VI sensors to the brain be optimized; ii) how does the three-dimensional angular velocity information provided by the VI interact in the brain with other sensorimotor (vision, otolith, efferent) signals; and iii) how effectively does the VI alleviate the behavioral deficits and subjective symptoms experienced by patients with severe vestibular damage. The current study will be used to focus on two key subsets of these questions. Over one year, the investigators will study approximately 5 patients who have severe bilateral vestibular damage and functioning VI's, which will focus on aim 1: how the angular velocity information sensed by the VI can be optimally transferred to the brain; and aim 2: how effectively the VI improves the clinical status of vestibulopathic patients when they receive acute and sub-acute (3 days) motion-modulated stimulation. In sum, the investigators aim to improve the efficacy of the VI in human subjects by developing new knowledge about how the brain processes motion cues provided by the VI and correlating this information with behavioral outcomes.

Graft microvascular inflammation poses a significant challenge to successful kidney transplantation due to its heterogeneous clinical presentation. There is a critical need to unravel the clinical significance of newly defined allograft microvascular inflammation phenotypes in the Banff 2022 classification and assess the implications of these new phenotypes on kidney transplant precision diagnostics and patient risk stratification.
