NCT04995770
Although medical advancements have enabled children experiencing liver transplants to live longer, medical management post-transplant is ongoing and complex. Many findings underscore adolescents as being a particularly vulnerable population, with rates of nonadherence being four times higher than in adults. This pilot study aims to explore the feasibility and impact of a brief text-messaging intervention in a randomized controlled trials (N = 50). We have three primary aims: 1) Study patient satisfaction with and utilization of this intervention in order to better understand feasibility and acceptability; 2) Investigate the effects of this intervention on medication adherence, healthcare utilization, and health status; and 3) Examine potential effects of the intervention on the physician-patient relationship, motivation for adherence, and other variables.
NCT03339297
This is a study comparing the defibrotide prophylaxis arm vs standard of care arm for the prevention of aGvHD.
NCT00931944
This is an open-label, multi-center study designed to extend the evaluation of the safety, tolerability, and clinical effects of oral administration of KNS-760704 in patients with ALS.
NCT00547066
This trial will study different dose levels of hA20 (IMMU-106) to see if they are safe and effective for treating ITP.
NCT03629275
A study of stereotactic, intracerebral injection of CTX0E03 neural stem cells into patients with moderate to moderately severe disability as a result of an ischemic stroke.
NCT01381718
RATIONALE: Modafinil may help improve memory, attention, and fatigue caused by cancer treatment. PURPOSE: This phase II randomized trial studies how well modafinil works in treating children with memory and attention problems caused by cancer treatment for a brain tumor.
NCT02452476
A multicenter, double blind, randomized, single dose, active-controlled study to investigate the efficacy and safety of synthetic surfactant (CHF 5633) in comparison to porcine surfactant (Poractant alfa, Curosurf ®) in the treatment of preterm neonates with respiratory distress syndrome. Main objectives of this study are to investigate the short term efficacy profile of CHF 5633 vs. porcine surfactant (Poractant Alfa, Curosurf®) in terms of reduced oxygen requirement and ventilatory support and to evaluate the mid-term efficacy profile in terms of reduced incidence of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) and mortality/BPD rate at 36 weeks post menstrual age (PMA), mortality rate at 28 days and 36 weeks PMA, RDS-associated mortality through 14 days of age and other major co-morbidities of prematurity. Inclusion criteria are: Written parental informed consent, inborn preterm neonates of either sex with a gestational age of 24+0 weeks up to 29+6 weeks, clinical course consistent with RDS, requirement of endotracheal surfactant administration within 24 hours from birth, fraction of inspired oxygen (FiO2) ≥0.30 for babies 24+0 to 26+6 weeks and FiO2 ≥0.35 for babies 27+0 to 29+6 weeks to maintain arterial oxygen saturation by pulse oximetry (SpO2) between 88-95%.
NCT04169061
We will need about 36 participants for this study. Volunteers might be able to participate if: * they have bad noninfectious keratitis * early treatments failed or were not well tolerated Participants will be in the study for about 22 weeks: * 4 weeks for tests to see if the study might be good for them * 12 weeks of treatment with Acthar gel * 4 weeks to wean off Acthar gel and follow-up with the doctor
NCT03094429
This is an adaptive, Phase II/III study in 2 parts (i.e. Part 1 (dose ranging) and Part 2 (Hypothesis testing)). NaBen® is granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation by US FDA as treatment for refractory schizophrenia. Part 1 Objectives: There are two primary objectives for Part 1 of this study: 1. To evaluate, in terms of dose-response, the effectiveness of NaBen® (1000 and 2000 mg/day) compared to Placebo (0 mg/day), when combined with clozapine, in improving the residual symptoms associated with refractory schizophrenia in adults, and; to determine the optimal dose to be used in Part 2 of this study. 2. Sample size re-assessment to evaluate the final sample size needed to proceed with Part 2 of the study The secondary objective of the Part 1 of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of NaBen® (1000 and 2000 mg/day) compared to Placebo (0 mg/day), in combination with clozapine. Part 2 Objectives: The primary objective of the Part 2 of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of NaBen® (at the optimal dose determined in the Part 1 of this study) compared to Placebo (0 mg/day), when combined with clozapine, in improving the residual symptoms associated with refractory schizophrenia in adults. The secondary objective of the Part 2 of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of NaBen® (at the optimal dose determined in the Part 1 of this study) compared to Placebo (0 mg/day), in combination with clozapine.
NCT04859777

NCT02165215
This Phase III, randomized, double-blind, parallel-grouped, placebo-controlled, multicenter study will investigate the efficacy and safety of etrolizumab in maintenance of remission in participants with moderately to severely active UC who are naive to TNF inhibitors and refractory to or intolerant of prior immunosuppressant and/or corticosteroid treatment.
NCT02100696

NCT02655822
This is a phase 1/1b open-label, multicenter, dose-selection study of ciforadenant, an oral small molecule targeting the adenosine-A2A receptor on T-lymphocytes and other cells of the immune system. This trial will study the safety, tolerability, and anti-tumor activity of ciforadenant as a single agent and in combination with atezolizumab, a PD-L1 inhibitor against various solid tumors. Ciforadenant blocks adenosine from binding to the A2A receptor. Adenosine suppresses the anti-tumor activity of T cells and other immune cells.
