NCT00098670
This phase II trial is studying how well giving fludarabine together with rituximab followed by alemtuzumab works in treating patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab and alemtuzumab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others can find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as fludarabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving fludarabine together with rituximab followed by alemtuzumab may kill more cancer cells.
NCT00086827
This phase II trial is studying how well FR901228 works in treating patients with recurrent small cell lung cancer. FR901228 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the enzymes necessary for their growth.
NCT00028899
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Monoclonal antibodies such as gemtuzumab ozogamicin can locate cancer cells and either kill them or deliver cancer-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Combining monoclonal antibody therapy with combination chemotherapy may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of combining gemtuzumab ozogamicin with combination chemotherapy in treating children who have relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome.
