NCT06143566
This study will investigate the utility of a polypill-based strategy for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and high risk of heart failure (HF), as assessed via the WATCH-DM risk score. Polypill therapy will consist of empagliflozin 12.5 mg, losartan 25, 50 or 100 mg, and finerenone 10 mg daily. The study duration is 6 months, and participants will be randomized to either polypill therapy or simultaneous prescription of the individual drugs. The primary outcome is change in peak VO2 and adherence to usual care. The investigators hypothesize that the use of a polypill is feasible and improves medication adherence and peak VO2 as compared to those receiving usual care.
NCT06981234
The goal of this study is to learn about the effect of the study drug acetazolamide in individuals with Type 1 Diabetes. Specifically, whether acetazolamide provides benefits to the kidneys while minimizing any side effects of the drug. These changes will be measured by laboratory tests that tell us how well the kidneys are functioning.
NCT07022158
Background/aim: Gestational diabetes (GDM), gestational hypertension (GHT) and preeclampsia are common complications of pregnancy. In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationship between body shape index (ABSI), calculated based on antenatal measurements of the height, weight and waist circumference, and GDM, GHT and preeclampsia. Materials and methods: 170 patients at 6-16th weeks of gestation were prospectively analyzed. Body mass index (BMI) and ABSI were calculated. Patients were analyzed according to the presence of GDM, GHT and preeclampsia at follow-up. Our study is the first in terms of its subject and makes a significant contribution to the literature.
