The main objective of the study is to measure and correlate clinical parameters suitable for the assessment of allergen immunotherapy (AIT) with an aluminum hydroxide-adsorbed preparation of house dust mite (Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus/ Dermatophagoides farinae) allergens in adults with moderate to severe allergic rhinitis/rhinoconjunctivitis with or without controlled allergic bronchial asthma caused by house dust mite (HDM) allergens. The assessment of clinical responses will be evaluated following an allergen challenge in allergen exposure chamber (AEC) before and during the course of AIT. Patients' response to therapy will be evaluated as well as in the AEC and by patient's personal environment (Diary).

This is a continuing research study of a vaccine for allergy to Japanese Red Cedar. The vaccine is called CryJ2-DNA-LAMP Plasmid vaccine. This research study will determine how the vaccine is tolerated and how previous Phase IA research participants respond to the vaccine in a booster dose. CryJ2-DNA-LAMP Plasmid vaccine is investigational, which means it is not approved for use by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) but is available in research studies like this one. The study is a Phase IB, prospective, three cohort, open label study conducted on one cohorts of non-atopic subjects and two cohorts of subjects with a history of allergic rhinitis symptoms to Japanese red cedar CryJ 2 pollen allergen that participated in the previous Phase IA study (all the subjects participated in the previous study). The study will be conducted at 1 study center. Subjects are enrolled in the trial for a period of 80 days. The objectives of the statistical analyses are to establish the safety and to explore the immunogenicity of the LAMP-vax vaccine. All statistical analyses conducted on the data from this trial will be exploratory in nature. The primary objective of this Phase IB Study is to evaluate the safety and immunological responses of an additional dose of CryJ2-DNA-LAMP plasmid vaccine delivered intramuscularly (IM) to subjects who previously received 4 doses of CryJ2-DNA-LAMP vaccine delivered IM every 2 weeks in the previous Phase IA study.

The purpose of this study is to find out if rBet v1-FV works to relieve Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis symptoms compared to Placebo (an inactive substance that looks like rBet v1-FV and also contains Aluminum Hydroxide but does not contain the experimental drug). rBet v1-FV is a vaccine that works by exposing your immune system to something that resembles birch. This vaccine may help to lessen your allergy symptoms during the natural birch season.

Seasonal rhinoconjunctivitis or hay fever is a common atopic condition that is frequently seen in clinical practice. Grass pollen is the major cause of pollinosis in many parts of the world. Immunotherapy is the only treatment that may affect the natural course of allergic diseases, and it may also prevent the development of asthma in patients with allergic rhinitis. With conventional subcutaneous desensitization the duration of treatment is around 3-5 years and usually comprises around 30-100 allergen injections. As high allergen doses have to be injected, allergic side effects may occur and patients must stay under medical supervision for at least 1 hour. Transcutaneous immunization (TCI) is a needle -free technique that delivers antigens and adjuvants to potent epicutaneous immune cells. The aim of the new epicutaneous route of desensitization is to more specifically target the immune system by loading Langerhans cells with the allergen. Lower antigen doses can be applied, such that side effects are reduced.
