NCT02136914
This is a multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 2-arm, parallel group study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ADS-5102 extended release (ER) capsules, an investigational formulation of amantadine, dosed once nightly at bedtime for the treatment of levodopa induced dyskinesia (LID) in subjects with Parkinson's disease (PD). The novel pharmacokinetic profile of ADS-5102 is expected to achieve i) maximal concentrations in the early morning through mid-day, when LID can be troublesome, and ii) lower concentrations in the evening, potentially reducing the negative impact of amantadine on sleep. This pharmacokinetic profile could enable higher doses to be tolerated with a once-nightly ER formulation than can be tolerated with an immediate-release formulation. The once-nightly dosing regimen may also provide enhanced convenience and compliance. In a previous clinical study, ADS-5102 met its primary endpoint; LID was significantly reduced as measured by the change in UDysRS score over 8 weeks vs. placebo.

This trial is conducted globally. The aim of this trial is to compare the efficacy and safety of insulin degludec/liraglutide (IDegLira) versus insulin degludec (IDeg) and liraglutide (Lira) in subjects with type 2 diabetes. Subjects are to continue their pre-trial treatment with metformin or metformin + pioglitazone throughout the entire trial.
NCT02119676
The purpose of this study was to determine if ruxolitinib, in combination with regorafenib, is safe and effective in the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer.
NCT01499121
This prospective single arm study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of sunitinib given on an individualized dosing schedule as first-line therapy in subjects with metastatic clear cell renal cell cancer. The treatment schedule intent is to maximize dose intensity of sunitinib and minimize time off therapy based on individual tolerability using protocol directed dose modification criteria. A total of 110 subjects will be enrolled. All subjects will continue to receive study treatment until disease progression or withdrawal of consent. The primary outcome for this study is progression-free survival (PFS), defined as the duration from the date a patient first receives Sunitinib until the date of death or confirmed progression according to the RECIST criteria.
NCT00828607
This comparison study is performed to show equivalence of CEUS with CECT or CEMR to diagnose noninvasively focal liver masses. This is a multi-center prospective cohort study of 250 subjects, which will be performed at four institutions in Canada. Subjects with a focal liver mass, measuring at least 2.5 centimeters in maximal diameter, will undergo a conventional baseline sonogram followed by a contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS). CEUS will be performed on standard ultrasound scanners with contrast specific imaging capability. The contrast agent used is Definity (Lantheus Medical Imaging, Billerica,MA) All subjects will have either a dedicated hepatic contrast enhanced CT or MR scan within 60 days of the CEUS as per the standard of care in the institution. Anonymized image files from all imaging will be shown independently to two readers, blinded to all clinical and demographic data, who will predict malignancy and diagnosis.
NCT01712009
The primary objective of the study is to estimate the difference in bone pain between breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and pegfilgrastim and either no prophylactic intervention, prophylactic naproxen, or prophylactic loratadine.
NCT02006641
To establish efficacy of Idalopirdine as adjunctive therapy to donepezil for symptomatic treatment of patients with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease (AD).
NCT01323621
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the 24-hour spirometry effect (FEV1) of FF/VI 100/25mcg once daily compared with Fluticasone Propionate/Salmeterol 250/50mcg twice daily over a 12-week treatment period in subjects with COPD.
NCT02105974

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the contribution on lung function (as measured by trough forced expiratory volume in one second \[FEV1\]) of FF 100 mcg to the FF/VI 100/25 mcg QD combination by comparison of the latter with VI 25 mcg QD and the safety of FF/VI 100/25 mcg over a 12-week treatment period in subjects with COPD. ELLIPTA™ is a registered trademark of GlaxoSmithKline.
NCT00408694
This phase II trial is studying how well giving bevacizumab together with cisplatin, radiation therapy, and fluorouracil works in treating patients with stage IIB, stage III, stage IVA, or stage IVB nasopharyngeal cancer. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Bevacizumab may also stop the growth of nasopharyngeal cancer by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin and fluorouracil, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Giving bevacizumab together with chemotherapy and radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells.
NCT01313637
This is a phase III multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of GSK573719/GW642444 Inhalation Powder, GSK573719 Inhalation Powder, GW642444 Inhalation Powder and Placebo when administered once-daily via a Novel Dry Powder Inhaler over a 24-week treatment period in subjects with COPD. Subjects who meet eligibility criteria at Screening (Visit 1) will complete a 7 to14 day run-in period followed by a randomization visit (Visit 2) then a 24-week treatment period. There will be a total of 9 clinic study visits. A follow-up phone contact for adverse event assessment will be conducted approximately one week after the last study visit (Visit 9 or Early Withdrawal). The total duration of subject participation in the study will be approximately 27 weeks. A subset of subjects at selected sites will also perform 24-hour serial spirometry and Holter monitoring during the study and provide serial blood samples for pharmacokinetic analysis. Sparse pharmacokinetic sampling for population pharmacokinetic analyses will be obtained from non-subset subjects. The primary measure of efficacy is clinic visit trough (pre-bronchodilator and pre-dose) FEV1 on Treatment Day 169. Safety will be assessed by adverse events, 12-lead ECGs, vital signs, clinical laboratory tests, and 24 hour Holter monitoring (subset only).
