NCT02372578
The purpose of this study is to assess analgesic efficacy of ASP3662 relative to placebo in subjects with painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy (PDPN) as well as assess the safety and tolerability of ASP3662 relative to placebo. The analgesic effect is evaluated by measuring percent responders, change in daily worst pain score, change in average daily pain score, Patient Global Impression of Change (PGIC) and Clinical Global Impression of Change (CGIC).
NCT01785771
An 39-week plus extensions, open-label study to estimate the reduction in HbA1c in patients with initial HbA1c \>10% \</=12% who are treated with ITCA 650 20 mcg/day for 13 weeks followed by ITCA 650 60 mcg/day for 26 weeks plus optional 26-week extensions with continued treatment with ITCA 650 60 mcg/day
NCT01663402
Primary Objective: To compare the effect of alirocumab with placebo on the occurrence of cardiovascular (CV) events (composite endpoint of coronary heart disease (CHD) death, non-fatal myocardial infarction (MI), fatal and non-fatal ischemic stroke, unstable angina (UA) requiring hospitalization) in participants who experienced an acute coronary syndrome (ACS) event 4 to 52 weeks prior to randomization and were treated with evidence-based medical and dietary management of dyslipidemia. Secondary Objectives: * To evaluate the effect of alirocumab on secondary endpoints (any CHD event , major CHD event, any CV event, composite of all cause mortality/non-fatal MI/non-fatal ischemic stroke, CHD deaths, CV deaths, all cause mortality). * To evaluate the safety and tolerability of alirocumab. * To evaluate the effect of alirocumab on lipid parameters.
NCT01672866
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate whether SIM (formerly referred to as GS-6624) is effective at preventing the histologic progression of liver fibrosis and the clinical progression to cirrhosis in participants with NASH. It will consist of 2 phases: * Randomized Double-Blind Phase * Open-Label Phase (optional)
NCT02867709
This study will evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of 2 doses of ubrogepant (25 and 50 mg) compared to placebo for the acute treatment of a single migraine attack.
NCT02321306
Open-label, multicenter study in adults with Primary Biliary Cirrhosis (PBC) designed to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of daily dosing with LUM001.
NCT02508246
This phase I trial studies the side effects and the best dose of WEE1 inhibitor MK-1775 when given together with docetaxel and cisplatin in treating patients with stage III-IVB squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck that may or may not be able to be removed by surgery (borderline resectable). WEE1 inhibitor MK-1775 may block the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of enzymes that are needed for tumor growth and may also help docetaxel and cisplatin work better by making tumor cells more sensitive to the drug. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as docetaxel and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving WEE1 inhibitor MK-1775 with docetaxel and cisplatin before surgery may kill more tumor cells and shrink the tumor, allowing patients to undergo surgery to remove it.
NCT03865576
For purposes of validation, this study compares intracranial pressure measurements obtained with a novel self-calibrating, non-invasive, intracranial pressure measuring (ICP) device, with the values obtained from (a) patients in an intensive care unit (ICU) whose meet standard clinical indications for ICP measurement and whose ICP is measured using gold-standard implanted intracranial instrumentation and in (b) ambulatory subjects who meet clinical indications for lumbar puncture.
NCT02607800
The primary objectives of this study are to compare the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of treatment with sofosbuvir/velpatasvir/voxilaprevir (SOF/VEL/VOX) fixed dose combination (FDC) for 8 weeks with that of SOF/VEL FDC for 12 weeks in direct-acting antiviral-naive participants with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.
NCT01638897
The purpose of this study is to evaluate long-term performance of the DF4 Connector System. This evaluation is based on the number of DF4 lead-related complications occurring during the study compared to the number of leads enrolled in the study. The DF4 systems will be followed for 5 years after implant. This study is required by FDA as a condition of approval of the DF4 Connector Systems. This study is conducted within Medtronic's post-market surveillance platform.
NCT01200394
PF-00489791 is an inhibitor of phosphodiesterase type 5. Our hypothesis is that PF-00489791 will enhance the relaxation of blood vessels within the kidney and so reduce blood pressure, improving renal function.
NCT02003898
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Threshold Suspend (TS) feature of the Medtronic MiniMed® 530G insulin pump in patients 16 and older with insulin requiring diabetes.
NCT00626912
The PRET study aims at comparing two types of coils used in the endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms. The first type made of platinum has been used for more than 15 years. The other, referred to as hydrocoil, containing in addition to platinum a polymer layer that expands when in contact with blood, has been in use since 2002. The hypothesis of the PRET study is that the newer hydrocoil will be more effective and yet as safe as the older platinum coil.
NCT02037555
This is a prospective, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study. The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and effectiveness of human-derived antithrombin III (AT-III \[Human\]) supplementation prior to high-risk, non-emergency, cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). A total of 404 adult subjects undergoing CPB who meet the study eligibility criteria were planned to be randomized to receive either AT-III (Human) or placebo.
NCT02391506
This study will evaluate whether Cartiva is an effective treatment for individuals with osteoarthritis of the CMC joint in the hand.
NCT02378480
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of omadacycline as compared to linezolid in the treatment of adults with acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections.
NCT00938431
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety and pharmacokinetics of LCM syrup in children ages from 1 month to 17 years with uncontrolled partial seizures when added to 1 to 3 other antiepileptic drugs (AEDs).
NCT01176266
This clinical trial was conducted to study hypophosphatasia (HPP), a bone disorder caused by gene mutations or changes. These gene mutations cause low levels of an enzyme needed to harden bone. The purpose of this study was to test the safety and efficacy of a study drug called asfotase alfa (human recombinant tissue non-specific alkaline phosphate fusion protein) to see what effects it has on patients 5 years of age or less with HPP.
NCT02337062
A comparison of the efficacy of APD421 and placebo when combined with a standard anti-emetic in the prevention of PONV in patients at high risk of Post-operative Nausea and Vomiting (PONV).
NCT01410552
ISIS- ICD study has been designed to evaluate the impact of PARAD+ algorithm on inappropriate shocks, in a general population implanted for primary or secondary prevention with a dual or tri chamber device at one year follow-up
