NCT01224795
This is a study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a single dose of intravenous peramivir versus placebo in adolescents and adults with acute uncomplicated influenza.
NCT01400867
This is a study of safety, effectiveness, blood levels and tolerance of Ceftaroline fosamil in children with skin infections receiving antibiotic therapy in the hospital.
NCT00940992
To identify lowest efficacious dose of DER 45 EV Gel, 1% and 5% verses vehicle in patients with rosacea.
NCT00651469
The objectives of this study were to evaluate the efficacy and safety of drospirenone 3 mg/ethinyl estradiol 0.02 mg (DRSP/EE) in comparison with placebo in female subjects with moderate acne vulgaris during 6 treatment cycles.
NCT01405027
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of a physician directed education program on treatment compliance of hepatitis C patients administered triple drug therapy of pegylated interferon, ribavirin and boceprevir.
NCT00726882
The purpose of this follow-up study is to evaluate the frequency and persistence of specific viral mutations in response to treatment with ABT-333 (dasabuvir).
NCT00937833
The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of an absorbable urethrovesical sling on the post-operative return of urinary continence after robot-assisted radical prostatectomy.
NCT00669994
This trial evaluated how effective and safe Cipro XR was in treating female patients with signs and symptoms of a lower urinary tract infections. After 3 days of treatment, patients were evaluated to determine if signs/symptoms disappeared and the infecting bacteria was eliminated.
NCT01289847
The main objective is to determine the efficacy of Gammaplex by measuring the number of serious acute bacterial infections during treatment with Gammaplex over a 12 month period. The secondary objectives are to assess the safety and tolerability of Gammaplex and to compare the data collected from adult subjects with PID from the GMX01 study
NCT01752101
The primary objective is to identify a panel of plasma and/or serum proteins that differentiates the absence or presence of lung malignancy in samples obtained from subjects enrolled in this IRB/EC approved study with pulmonary nodules.
NCT02087917
To determine the efficacy of HS-25 (5, 10, 20 or 30 mg) in reducing low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) levels after a 4-week period of treatment in adults with primary hypercholesterolemia.
NCT00104910
This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of cetuximab when given together with cisplatin and radiation therapy in treating patients with stage IB, stage II, stage III, or stage IVA cervical cancer. Monoclonal antibodies, such as cetuximab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays and other types of radiation to kill tumor cells. Internal radiation therapy uses radioactive material placed directly into or near a tumor to kill tumor cells. Giving cetuximab together with cisplatin and radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells.
NCT00102804
This study is a randomized Phase 3, double-blind study of maintenance pemetrexed plus best supportive care versus placebo plus best supportive care in NSCLC. Participants must have received 1 of 6 induction regimens for 4 cycles and did not have progressive disease prior to randomization (enrollment) into this trial.
NCT00499031
This phase II trial is studying cetuximab to see how well it works in treating patients with persistent or recurrent cervical cancer. Monoclonal antibodies, such as cetuximab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them.
NCT00255424
The study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of a new intravenously administered iron drug to treat anemia in patients with chronic kidney disease who are not on dialysis.
NCT01072136
Mucopurulent cervicitis (MPC) is a syndrome with associated symptoms including mucopurulent discharge (mucus and pus) from the cervix and other signs of inflammation such as easily induced cervical bleeding. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of no treatment versus empiric treatment with a single dose of cefixime and azithromycin for cure of MPC. Empiric treatment is the initiation of treatment prior to a firm diagnosis. Study participants will include 772 women ages 18 and older in good health with MPC. Women will be randomly assigned to 1 of 2 possible study groups: Group 1 will receive a single dose of cefixime and azithromycin antibiotics and Group 2 will receive placebo (inactive substance). Study procedures will include pelvic examination with a cervical swab sample. Participants will be involved in study related procedures for approximately 2 months, which includes 3 study visits.
NCT00656981
The objectives of this study were to evaluate the efficacy and safety of drospirenone 3 mg/ethinyl estradiol 0.02 mg (DRSP/EE) in comparison with placebo in female subjects with moderate acne vulgaris during 6 treatment cycles
NCT01544348
Phase 1 study to evaluate the safety of MEDI4212.
NCT00012012
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Combining radiation therapy with chemotherapy may kill more tumor cells. Drugs such as amifostine may protect normal cells from the side effects of radiation therapy. PURPOSE: Phase I/II trial to study the effectiveness of combining cisplatin and radiation therapy with or without amifostine in treating patients who have stage IIIB or stage IVA cancer of the cervix.
NCT00470470
This phase II trial is studying how well imatinib mesylate works in treating patients with stage III or stage IV melanoma that cannot be removed by surgery. Imatinib mesylate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
