NCT01058005
This was a multicenter, randomized, open-label, parallel-group, active-controlled study. Prior to randomization, participants were to have been treated with glatiramer acetate or interferon β-1a (44 μg). Participants were to be randomized to receive natalizumab, interferon β-1a 44 μg, or glatiramer acetate.
NCT01365910
This phase II trial studies how well Linifanib works in treating patients with advanced, refractory colorectal cancer expressing k-Ras mutations. Linifanib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
NCT00060944
The purpose of this study is to test the safety and effectiveness of an investigational chemotherapy agent in patients with types of advanced cancer referred to as liposarcoma or leiomyosarcoma.
NCT00811954
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) guidelines recommend that HIV infected patients who have never received anti-HIV therapy be treated with a triple drug regimen. The most commonly prescribed and successful regimen contains the medication efavirenz (EFV). However, this regimen may not be an option for everyone, hence alternative regimens are needed. This study was designed to look at how well different combinations of anti-HIV drugs work to decrease the amount of HIV in the blood (viral load) of and allow immune system recovery in people who have never received anti-HIV therapy. This study also examined drug tolerability and safety for the various drug combinations.
NCT01193127
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the use of OMS302 (the study drug) in individuals undergoing Cataract Extraction with Lens Replacement (CELR) surgery is safe and effective at maintaining an adequately dilated pupil during surgery and reducing post-operative symptoms of discomfort (such as eye pain and irritation).
NCT00939003
This study will evaluate how well adalimumab works in the short and long term in patients with axial spondyloarthritis who are not diagnosed as having either ankylosing spondylitis or psoriatic arthritis.
NCT00264537
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of golimumab, alone or in combination with methotrexate, as compared to methotrexate alone in rheumatoid arthritis subjects who have not been previously treated with methotrexate.
NCT00041938
The purpose of this study is to determine which of two treatments, Warfarin or aspirin, is better for preventing death and stroke in patients with poor heart function. We are now transitioning into the sub-analysis part of the WARCEF patient data. The study has recently completed data analysis for its Primary Aim. All randomized patients have completed their follow up. All study related procedure as per the protocol has been completed. We are now in the extension phase of the study to obtain more patient data to address further aims of the study. No new procedures are performed and data already in place at the sites will be collected (EKG and echocardiograms). The aims for this study extension are: * To assess progression of cardiac dysfunction over time among heart failure patients * To correlate prognosis with cardiac dysfunction
NCT00419393
To provide continued treatment of Keppra XR (Levetiracetam XR) and to assess the long term safety of Keppra XR in subjects with partial onset seizures.
NCT00419094
The primary objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of two doses of Keppra XR compared with a historical control as the placebo, in the monotherapy treatment of partial onset seizures.
NCT00075777
RATIONALE: Valproic acid may help stop the growth of Kaposi's sarcoma cells by blocking the enzymes necessary for tumor cell growth. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying valproic acid in treating patients with HIV-related Kaposi's sarcoma.
NCT01127321
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of MEDI-570 in adult subjects with moderately to severely active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
NCT00803634
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of intravenous (IV) clevidipine as compared with standard of care IV antihypertensive agents for blood pressure (BP) lowering in patients with acute heart failure and elevated BP.
NCT00323882
Multicenter study in which patients with metastatic hormone refractory prostate cancer (HRPC), who have not had previous chemotherapy or immunotherapy treatments, received MDX-010 every 3 weeks for 4 doses (12 weeks total duration of induction). MDX-010 was administered at escalating dosage levels of 3, 5, and 10 mg/kg/dose infusions. At least 6 patients were to be enrolled in each dosage level. Patients who tolerated and responded to treatment or who had stable disease for 3 months or longer and who subsequently progressed during the follow up phase of the study had the option to receive additional treatment with MDX-010, up to 4 cycles. Patients were followed in the study for response up to 2 years and were followed for survival status for up to 5 years after enrollment.
NCT00666328
The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy and safety of clevidipine for treating acute hypertension (high blood pressure, defined as systolic blood pressure \>160 mmHg) in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (i.e., bleeding in the brain; stroke).
NCT00993148
The objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a novel combination antiretroviral therapy regimen consisting of maraviroc plus darunavir/ritonavir in treatment-naive patients infected with R5-tropic HIV-1. The hypothesis is that in treatment-naive subjects infected with R5-tropic HIV-1, combination antiretroviral therapy with maraviroc plus darunavir/ritonavir is well tolerated and efficacious.
NCT01714505
An unblinded, randomized, cross-over design with each patient participating in two 40-hour outpatient admissions: (a) Experimental involving automated Control-to-Range (CTR) and (b) Control using Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM)- augmented insulin pump treatment outside of a hospital based clinical research center. The principal goal is to validate a smart phone-based control-to-range (CTR) system for ambulatory use and to estimate the effect of CTR vs. sensor-augmented pump therapy, thereby providing justification for further larger home-based trials of CTR.
NCT01841463
* An Open Label, Multicenter, Phase I Extension Study of an Oral Cdk Inhibitor P1446A-05 Administered with an Oral BRAF Inhibitor Vemurafenib (Zelboraf®) in Patients with Advanced or Inoperable Malignant Melanoma with BRAF Mutation * The primary objective is to determine the safety, maximum tolerated dose (MTD), and dose limiting toxicity (DLT) of the co-administration of P1446A-05 with vemurafenib, in melanoma patients with BRAF mutation
NCT01283425
The study is an open-label, randomized, two-period crossover study. Up to one hundred and twenty (120) subjects with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) who use the MiniMed paradigm insulin pump, who meet the inclusion/exclusion criteria and who provide written Informed Consent will be enrolled in the study. The aim of the study is to examine the safety of the InsuPatch device in a home use setting. Mild Hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia and Adverse events will be compared between two phases of the study : 3 months with the use of the device and 3 months without the use of the device.
NCT01216618
The study is a prospective, multi-center, open label, randomized; two-arms cross over study. This is the test protocol for the InsuPatch device, whose purpose is to improve insulin delivery into the blood when the insulin is infused using an insulin-infusion pump by controlled heating of the area surrounding the point of infusion.
