NCT00724503
This study is a randomized multi-center trial that will assess the effect of adding Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT), using SIR-Spheres microspheres®, to a standard chemotherapy regimen of FOLFOX as first line therapy in patients with non-resectable liver metastases from primary colorectal adenocarcinoma. Treatment with the biologic agent bevacizumab, if part of the standard of care at participating institutions, is allowed within this study at the discretion of the treating Investigator.
NCT00637247
The purpose of this study is to determine if imexon in combination with gemcitabine could improve overall survival as compared to gemcitabine alone in subjects with pancreatic cancer that has spread to other organs such as the liver or lungs. The study will also look at the safety of the combination as compared to gemcitabine alone. Participants in the study will be randomly assigned to either treatment and neither the participant or their doctors will know which treatment they will be receiving.
NCT03205345
This is a multicenter, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of emricasan in improving event-free survival based on a composite clinical endpoint (where all-cause mortality, new decompensation events, and MELD score progression are events) in subjects with decompensated NASH cirrhosis.
NCT02867709
This study will evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of 2 doses of ubrogepant (25 and 50 mg) compared to placebo for the acute treatment of a single migraine attack.
NCT02321306
Open-label, multicenter study in adults with Primary Biliary Cirrhosis (PBC) designed to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of daily dosing with LUM001.
NCT02508246
This phase I trial studies the side effects and the best dose of WEE1 inhibitor MK-1775 when given together with docetaxel and cisplatin in treating patients with stage III-IVB squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck that may or may not be able to be removed by surgery (borderline resectable). WEE1 inhibitor MK-1775 may block the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of enzymes that are needed for tumor growth and may also help docetaxel and cisplatin work better by making tumor cells more sensitive to the drug. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as docetaxel and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving WEE1 inhibitor MK-1775 with docetaxel and cisplatin before surgery may kill more tumor cells and shrink the tumor, allowing patients to undergo surgery to remove it.
NCT02427659
Using virtual reality as a form of distraction for pain during wound care. Virtual reality involves looking into a set of goggles and then moving through a computer-simulated world.
NCT01663402
Primary Objective: To compare the effect of alirocumab with placebo on the occurrence of cardiovascular (CV) events (composite endpoint of coronary heart disease (CHD) death, non-fatal myocardial infarction (MI), fatal and non-fatal ischemic stroke, unstable angina (UA) requiring hospitalization) in participants who experienced an acute coronary syndrome (ACS) event 4 to 52 weeks prior to randomization and were treated with evidence-based medical and dietary management of dyslipidemia. Secondary Objectives: * To evaluate the effect of alirocumab on secondary endpoints (any CHD event , major CHD event, any CV event, composite of all cause mortality/non-fatal MI/non-fatal ischemic stroke, CHD deaths, CV deaths, all cause mortality). * To evaluate the safety and tolerability of alirocumab. * To evaluate the effect of alirocumab on lipid parameters.
NCT02372578
The purpose of this study is to assess analgesic efficacy of ASP3662 relative to placebo in subjects with painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy (PDPN) as well as assess the safety and tolerability of ASP3662 relative to placebo. The analgesic effect is evaluated by measuring percent responders, change in daily worst pain score, change in average daily pain score, Patient Global Impression of Change (PGIC) and Clinical Global Impression of Change (CGIC).
NCT01638897
The purpose of this study is to evaluate long-term performance of the DF4 Connector System. This evaluation is based on the number of DF4 lead-related complications occurring during the study compared to the number of leads enrolled in the study. The DF4 systems will be followed for 5 years after implant. This study is required by FDA as a condition of approval of the DF4 Connector Systems. This study is conducted within Medtronic's post-market surveillance platform.
NCT02391506
This study will evaluate whether Cartiva is an effective treatment for individuals with osteoarthritis of the CMC joint in the hand.
NCT02301143
This clinical study is in subjects who are 18 years old or older with locally advanced pancreatic cancer who have not received prior treatment for their pancreatic cancer. The study treats all subjects with nab-Paclitaxel plus gemcitabine for approximately 6 months of treatment. Subjects who complete the treatment will choose, with their treating physicians, what additional treatment should be given: more nab-Paclitaxel plus gemcitabine, Chemoradiation therapy, or surgery to treat the locally advanced pancreatic cancer.
NCT01500434
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the PROMUS Element™ Everolimus-Eluting Coronary Stent System for the treatment of patients with up to 2 de novo atherosclerotic coronary artery lesions. The lesions can be longer than average-sized.
NCT01420068
52-104 week off-therapy second extension to study CSPP100A2365 to assess growth and development in pediatric hypertensive patients previously treated with aliskiren in studies SPP100A2365 and SPP100A2365E1
NCT02072434
The purpose of this study is to compare edoxaban to warfarin (with enoxaparin, if needed). It will see if edoxaban prevents stroke and other blood clotting problems as well and as safely as warfarin. People with atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat) might be able to join. Their doctors must plan to use shock to make their hearts beat normally. About 2200 people from different countries will join. They will have an equal chance of receiving either treatment. They are anticipated to be in the study for around 82 days. Tests will include physicals and finger-pricks. Participants will provide blood and urine samples.
