RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more cancer cells. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage cancer cells. Giving radiation therapy after chemotherapy may be an effective treatment for Hodgkin's disease. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy and radiation therapy in treating children who have previously untreated stage II, stage III, or stage IV Hodgkin's disease.

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether an investigational drug called sunitinib malate is safe and effective in treating metastatic melanoma in patients with KIT mutations. KIT is a gene that "codes for" (contains the genetic code that the body uses to make) a protein on the surface of cells in your body that is important in cell growth and cell division. The KIT protein seems to play a role in abnormal cell growth seen in acute leukemia, germ cell tumors, gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), and certain melanomas. Melanomas that arise on acral skin (palms, soles, nail beds), mucosal membranes, and chronically sun damaged skin have recently been found to frequently contain mutations or increased copy numbers of the KIT gene. Your tumor tissue has previously been tested and has been found to contain abnormalities in the KIT gene. Sunitinib malate is drug that has been shown to inhibit the activity of the KIT protein. The FDA approved sunitinib in 2006 for patients with GIST. It has been shown that sunitinib malate works in these patients because of its activity against the KIT protein. The FDA also approved Sunitinib malate in 2006 for the treatment of metastatic kidney cancer, where its effectiveness is probably due to its ability to block a different set of proteins. Sunitinib malate has not been approved by the FDA for the treatment of metastatic melanoma.

PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving chemotherapy together with radiation therapy after surgery followed by chemotherapy alone works in children with newly diagnosed astrocytoma, glioblastoma multiforme, gliosarcoma, or diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma.

The global aim of this proposal is to test and refine Common Data Elements (CDEs), neuroimaging standards, and best practices for genetics and proteomics in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) studies. Testing and validating of TBI-CDEs will be performed in a multi-center prospective observational study with 3 TBI Centers (San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH), University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), University Medical Center Brackenridge (UMCB)) and a TBI Rehabilitation Center (Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Center (MSMC)). The investigators will create and expand existing data repositories for patient demographics, neuroimaging, plasma biomarkers, genetics, and multivariate outcomes thereby providing researchers and clinicians with the infrastructure to establish multidisciplinary, multicenter research networks and improve clinical research in the TBI field.

PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects of induction chemotherapy using cyclophosphamide and topotecan in treating patients who are undergoing surgery and autologous stem cell transplantation followed by radiation therapy for newly diagnosed or progressive neuroblastoma.

Project UPLIFT, a home-based treatment for depression in people with epilepsy, was designed to be delivered to groups by telephone or Web. The Project UPLIFT intervention materials were demonstrated to be effective in treating depression among people with epilepsy in Georgia. This project will assess whether the materials are also effective for preventing depression among people with epilepsy, and will extend the project beyond Georgia to Michigan, Texas, and Washington.
