NCT01482390
This randomized, double-blind, multi-center, parallel-group study will evaluate the sustained virologic response and the safety of mericitabine (RO5024048) (MCB) in combination with telaprevir (TVR) and peginterferon Alfa-2a (PEG-IFN) / ribavirin (RBV) in participants with chronic Hepatitis C infection.
NCT00831779
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of dapagliflozin on insulin sensitivity
NCT01572792
The purpose of this Phase III study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of two fixed-dose combinations of inhaled aclidinium bromide/formoterol fumarate, aclidinium bromide, formoterol fumarate and placebo in patients with moderate to severe Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Long-term efficacy, pharmacoeconomic and health-related quality of life assessments will also be evaluated. This extension study will include a 28 week treatment period, followed by a four week follow up visit. All patients will remain in the same treatment group as for the lead-in study and continue on one of the four treatment arms or placebo.
NCT01044459
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of inhaled aclidinium bromide at two dose levels in patients with moderate to severe, stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The study will be 56 weeks in duration; a 2-week rin-in period, a 52-week treatment period and a 2-week follow up phone call. All patients will be randomized to one of two doses of aclidinium bromide.
NCT01204775
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, tolerability, of Saxagliptin in pediatric patients with type 2 diabetes.
NCT00879970
This study will answer two separate questions. The first question is to test the cardiovascular effects of long-term treatment with rosiglitazone or pioglitazone when used as part of standard of care compared to similar standard of care without rosiglitazone or pioglitazone in patients with type 2 diabetes who have a history of or are at risk for cardiovascular disease. The second question will compare the effects of long-term supplementation of vitamin D on death and cancer
NCT00645047
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is considered a major public health problem in the U.S. due to its high prevalence and high rates of disability associated with the disorder. For thousands of veterans, PTSD is a chronic disorder, resulting directly from military service that causes substantial psychological suffering and social disability. Barriers to PTSD care include poor access, mistrust, and lack of benefit from traditional treatments. This project addresses two very important and timely questions. First, can telemedicine be used as a tool to extend effective, specialized mental health services such as, cognitive processing therapy (CPT), to veterans with poor access to care? Second, does therapy delivered by telemedicine effect the quality of care in terms of clinical outcomes (PTSD severity, Quality of Life), and the quality of patient-therapist interaction (patient satisfaction \& communication)? By answering these questions, this study will provide valuable knowledge for VA researchers, clinicians, and policy makers. The study findings will have direct implications related to making specific recommendations regarding telemedicine utilization to deliver specialized mental health services for veterans suffering from PTSD.
NCT00642616
Examine the effects of TI in combination with an anti-diabetic regimen including inhaled insulin versus anti-diabetic treatment without inhaled insulin on lung function \& pulmonary safety
NCT01254565
The purpose of this study is to characterize the safety and tolerability and efficacy of multiple ascending doses of etelcalcetide in hemodialysis patients for the treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism (HPT).
NCT01778855
The primary objective of this Phase 2 HASTIER study, as an ancillary study to ICTuS 2, is to compare key imaging measurements for serial changes in recanalization and reperfusion between hypothermia and normothermia treatment arms as intermediate outcomes of treatment effect. Secondary exploratory analyses include imaging of the neurovascular impact of reperfusion with hypothermia and tPA, including blood-brain barrier changes or permeability, hemorrhagic transformation, and infarct growth.
NCT01868893
This is a multicenter, open-label, single-arm, expanded access treatment study designed to provide obinutuzumab to patients with previously untreated Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) in combination with chlorambucil and to evaluate the safety and efficacy of obinutuzumab administered in combination with chlorambucil. This study will enroll patients with previously untreated CD20-positive CLL requiring treatment according to the IWCLL guidelines (Hallek et al 2008), as assessed by the investigator.
NCT01911429
Efficacy and Safety study of Lurasidone in pediatric patients.
NCT01160601
This is a randomized, open-label, multicenter, phase 2 study comparing Paclitaxel/Carboplatin with or without bavituximab in patients that have previously untreated locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
NCT01830920
The purpose of this study is to determine whether THR-184 when administered around the time of cardiac surgery that requires cardiopulmonary bypass can prevent or ameliorate the development of acute kidney injury.
NCT00874497
Phase 2a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to assess the pharmacodynamics, efficacy, and safety of tetomilast in patients with emphysema.
NCT00351468
An open-label, dose-adjustment, extension study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of eltrombopag for the treatment of subjects with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) who have previously been enrolled in an eltrombopag trial. This study will allow adjustment of the eltrombopag dose to achieve an individualized dose and schedule for each subject. In addition, the ability to reduce the dose of concomitant ITP medications in the presence of eltrombopag, while maintaining platelet counts = 50,000/μL will be investigated.
NCT01590615
This registry will remain open for approximately 5 years (4 years of enrollment + 1 year of follow up). Subjects will be followed until Orthotopic Liver Transplant (OLT), resolution of liver decompensation, death, or conclusion of the registry.
NCT02169362
The study will examine the safety of using a concentration of proteins from a patient's own blood, referred to as platelet rich plasma or (PRP) and applying it to a second degree burn wound.
NCT01951690
This is a Phase II, open-label, multicenter, multi cohort, study of VS-6063 (defactinib), a focal adhesion kinase inhibitor, in patients with KRAS mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). NSCLC with a KRAS mutation is required for study entry and subjects will be enrolled into 1 of 4 cohorts based on the status of their INK4a/Arf and p53 mutations. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate if VS-6063 (defactinib) improves PFS within each cohort. The safety and tolerability of VS-6063, tumor response rate, progression free survival and overall survival will also be assessed. The pharmacodynamic effects of VS-6063 (defactinib) will be examined in a tumor biopsy and a blood sample.
NCT00622193
The purpose of this study is to evaluate doses of anamorelin for safety and efficacy in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.
