To present the pre-Dose 5 and post-Dose 5 antibody responses to the antigens in DAPTACEL® in children 4 to 6 years of age who have previously received 4 doses of DAPTACEL® or Pentacel™. Observational Objectives: 1. To compare under equivalence criteria the pre-Dose 5 and post-Dose 5 antibody responses to the antigens in DAPTACEL® in children 4 to 6 years of age who have previously received 4 doses of DAPTACEL® or Pentacel™. 2. To present the pre-vaccination anti-poliovirus GMTs and seroprotection rates. 3. To present the post-vaccination anti-poliovirus GMTs and seroprotection rates among subjects receiving a 4th dose of IPV concurrently with the 5th dose of DAPTACEL and a 2nd dose of MMR.
NCT00091962
The purpose of this study is to treat depression in patients who have undergone coronary artery bypass graft (CABG).
NCT00601835
To compare the seroprotection rates and booster responses to Canadian-manufactured Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids Adsorbed vaccine to the seroprotection rates and booster responses to the US-manufactured Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids Adsorbed vaccine when administered to subjects ≥ 60 years of age. To compare the post-vaccination geometric mean titers of antibody (GMTs) to Canadian manufactured Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids Adsorbed vaccine to the post-vaccination GMTs to the US manufactured Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids Adsorbed vaccine when administered to subjects ≥ 60 years of age.
NCT00761761
The investigators hypothesis is that oral Sensoril® (as compared to placebo) will enhance cognitive abilities (specifically measures of attention, executive function, working memory, and visuospatial ability) in persons with bipolar disorder. Secondarily, the investigators hypothesize there will be secondary improvements in residual mood/anxiety symptoms, and metabolic indices, if impaired (fasting blood glucose and lipids). The investigators aim to test these hypotheses by conducting a randomized, placebo controlled, add on treatment trial of Sensoril® (added to existing mood stabilizer treatment) recruiting 60 subjects with DSM IV-TR bipolar disorder for a period of 8 weeks. Measures of cognition, psychopathology and laboratory indices will be utilized for evaluating primary and secondary outcomes, along with safety assessments.
NCT00700635
To explore the potential benefit of the administration of Menactra vaccine as a two-dose regimen to children. Primary Objective: To assess, by age group, the immune response to Menactra vaccine after each vaccine injection.
NCT00802867
Objectives: * To present the rates of adverse reactions after a dose of DAPTACEL® vaccine administered to children 4 to 6 years of age who have previously received four doses of PENTACEL™ vaccine. * To present immunogenicity before and after a single dose of DAPTACEL® vaccine administered to children 4 to 6 years of age who have previously received four doses of PENTACEL™ vaccine.
NCT01349946
Diffusion and Perfusion Imaging Evaluation for Understanding Stroke Evolution Study 2 (DEFUSE 2) is a multi-center pilot study to determine if cerebral perfusion imaging can help identify which patients, who are ineligible for intravenous tissue plasminogen activator (iv tPA) therapy or have failed iv tPA therapy, are most likely to benefit from an endovascular clot removal procedure.
NCT01147614
The purpose of this study is to determine whether a brief (12 week) psychological treatment program, based in primary care, can help youths struggling with anxiety and/or depression. This brief cognitive behavioral therapy program will be compared to enhanced referral to specialty mental health care.
NCT00972816
This study will evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of different combinations of A/H1N1 S-OIV (swine flu) vaccine in healthy young children.
NCT00862277
To evaluate the persistence of bactericidal antibodies in adolescents and adults who received one dose of Menactra® vaccine approximately four to eight years earlier
NCT02738073
Tranexamic acid (TA) inhibits fibrinolysis by binding to lysine binding-sites of plasminogen to fibrin. Fibrinolysis is stimulated by surgical trauma, and the administration of TA has been shown effective in decreasing blood loss both intra-operatively and in the immediate post-operative period in elective hip and knee arthroplasty patients. Both the timing and dosing of TA has been investigated in these patients. Subsequent blood transfusion rate has also been shown to decrease as result of TA administration. Despite the support for TA utilization that exists in the arthroplasty literature, the data is scarce regarding its administration during surgical treatment of hip fractures. This is patient population who is at high risk for transfusion due to symptomatic post-operative anemia. This study aims to investigate whether TA's advantageous effects in the arthroplasty patient population can be extrapolated to the more unstable, heterogeneous hip fracture patient population. If the study is able to show a difference in blood loss and transfusion requirement, the long term implications of this with regards to cost and mortality can be significant.
NCT00243646
Determine the role of androgen deprivation therapy in high risk patients receiving 45 Gy of pelvic radiotherapy plus a Pd-103 boost and the impact of the duration of ADT in hormonally-manipulated patients.
NCT00022698
PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combining capecitabine and irinotecan in treating patients who have locally advanced, recurrent, or metastatic colorectal cancer.
NCT00269477
The study is designed to evaluate the persistence of bactericidal antibodies in subjects aged 15 to 23 years (not yet 24 years) who had been vaccinated five years previously in Study MTA02 and did not participate in Study MTA19 (NCT 00777790). In addition, the kinetics of the antibody response will be evaluated in a subset of these participants who will receive a booster dose of Menactra® vaccine. This will be compared to aged matched control subjects who have not been previously vaccinated with a meningococcal vaccine or had documented meningitis disease who will also receive a dose of Menactra® vaccine.
NCT01812746
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety BIND-014 in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).
NCT00868959
This clinical study is designed to test the hypothesis that lurasidone is effective, tolerable, and safe for the treatment of patients with bipolar I depression
NCT00391053
Compared to young adults, the elderly mount a lower antibody response to vaccination. Thus, improvement of the immune response to influenza vaccination in this age group, which is at higher risk for influenza-related morbidity and mortality, represents an important unmet need. Primary Objectives: Immunogenicity: * To demonstrate lot consistency of the Fluzone High Dose (Fluzone HD) manufacturing process through evaluation of the immune responses elicited by three different lots. * To demonstrate the superiority of Fluzone HD vaccine compared to standard-dose Fluzone® vaccine. Secondary Objectives: Immunogenicity: * To describe the seroprotection of Fluzone HD compared to that of standard dose Fluzone® vaccine. Safety: * To describe the safety profile of Fluzone HD, in terms of solicited -, unsolicited adverse and serious adverse events post-vaccination. * To describe clinical information on some additional defined criteria during the six months following vaccination.
NCT00500812
This trial is a multi-center, open-label, dose-escalation study designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of Cethrin in two types of spinal cord injury patients: those with a complete cervical injury or a complete thoracic injury. Dose levels from 0.3 mg - 9 mg of Cethrin will be administered.
NCT02223039
This is a phase II, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multiple-dose, multi-center study of AbGn-168H in subjects with moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis.
