NCT00005026
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy in treating patients who have stage III or stage IV ovarian epithelial or primary peritoneal cancer.
NCT00002717
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known which chemotherapy regimen is more effective for ovarian or peritoneal cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare the effectiveness of two regimens of paclitaxel plus cisplatin in treating patients who have residual disease after surgery to remove stage III or stage IV ovarian cancer or primary peritoneal cancer.
NCT00003795
RATIONALE: Quality-of-life assessment in cancer survivors may help determine the long-term effects of having had gynecologic cancer and may help improve the quality of life for future cancer survivors. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying the quality of life in survivors of gynecologic cancer.
NCT00562523
The purpose of this study is to: 1.) Evaluate how your body reacts to sorafenib when taken daily (continuously) in combination with docetaxel given every 3 weeks, and to determine the safety of the two drugs together.2.) Measure your blood levels of sorafenib and docetaxel at specific times after taking the medications.
NCT00045695
RATIONALE: Bortezomib may stop the growth of cancer by blocking the enzymes necessary for tumor cell growth. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of bortezomib in treating patients who have untreated or relapsed Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia.
NCT00370214
The REVEAL Registry™ is a multicenter, observational, U.S.-based study of the clinical course and disease management of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) patients. All consecutive consenting patients diagnosed with WHO Group I PAH according to specific hemodynamic criteria at participating institutions will be enrolled. Participating patients will be followed for a minimum of five years from the time of enrollment.
NCT01107106
The purpose of this observational study is to assess the safety and tolerability of ellaOne® in routine conditions of use for emergency contraception in postmenarcheal adolescents and adult women who want to prevent pregnancy up to 5 days after unprotected sexual intercourse.
NCT00707889
To determine the effect of ABT-869 plus mFOLFOX6 compared to bevacizumab plus mFOLFOX6 on disease progression in advanced colorectal cancer.
NCT00003967
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of topotecan plus etoposide in treating patients who have recurrent ovarian cancer, peritoneal cancer, or fallopian tube cancer.
NCT00268463
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as oxaliplatin, capecitabine, and floxuridine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Hepatic arterial infusion uses a catheter to carry tumor-killing substances, such as chemotherapy, directly into the liver. Giving chemotherapy in different ways may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known whether giving oxaliplatin and capecitabine together with an hepatic arterial infusion with floxuridine is more effective than giving oxaliplatin and capecitabine alone in treating patients who are undergoing surgery and/or ablation for liver metastases due to colorectal cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying oxaliplatin, capecitabine, and an hepatic arterial infusion with floxuridine to see how well they work compared to oxaliplatin and capecitabine in treating patients who are undergoing surgery and/or ablation for liver metastases due to colorectal cancer.
NCT00382915
This study will evaluate the differences in smoking behavior, nicotine intake, and nicotine boost among people with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or no mental illness.
NCT01675674
This study is being done to learn how many children and young adults who come to pediatric rheumatology clinics may have mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS). The study tests for 4 of the types of MPS: I, II, IVA, and VI. This can help researchers decide whether to create a screening program for MPS at pediatric rheumatology clinics. This study is being done in rheumatology clinics because the first symptoms of MPS are often joint problems such as stiff joints, and rheumatologists may be the first doctors that a patient with MPS visits. The study will also evaluate the utility of dried blood spot testing for MPS.
NCT00004188
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining chemotherapy with peripheral stem cell transplantation may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying peripheral stem cell transplantation with treated peripheral stem cells following combination chemotherapy to see how well it works compared to peripheral stem cell transplantation with untreated peripheral stem cells following combination chemotherapy in treating patients with neuroblastoma.
NCT01001923
Primary objective was to demonstrate the activity of REGN475/SAR164877 in reducing the pain associated with chronic pancreatitis. Secondary objectives were: * to assess the safety and tolerability of REGN475/SAR164877 in patients with chronic pancreatitis pain; * to characterize the pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and immunogenicity profiles of REGN475/SAR164877 in this population; * to measure the change in the total daily dose of rescue medications required.
NCT00849654
The purpose of this study is to establish the safety and optimal dose of orally administered PCI-32765 in patients with recurrent B cell lymphoma.
NCT00656734
To determine the highest and safest tolerated dose of MDX-1411 for the treatment of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (Kidney cancer).
NCT00443534
This protocol allows subjects who have participated in a previous SU011248 protocol the ability to continue to receive SU011248 after their study has ended.
NCT00928395
This is a modified extension study to the SUmiT protocol UPC082008 (NCT00534521) to observe and evaluate long term therapy with PTNS on overactive bladder symptoms. Subjects must have completed the 12 weekly treatments of the original protocol, the 13 week follow up assessment, be randomized to the PTNS arm, and be considered a positive responder with moderate or marked improvement in the SUmiT Trial to be enrolled in this study. All consenting responders will continue with active PTNS therapy at an initially prescribed protocol for approximately 3 months followed by individualized symptom-based frequency of visits as determined by the subject along with their treating clinician, for up to a total of 33 months post initial 12-week therapy for a total of 3 years.
