NCT00382993
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover, two-attack, out-patient, early-intervention evaluation of subjects who have migraine with or without aura and who discontinued use of short acting triptan(s) within the past year due to non-response or intolerance. Subjects will treat 2 separate migraine attacks during the mild phase of each attack; one attack will be treated with one tablet of the Combination Product (sumatriptan succinate and naproxen sodium) and the other attack with one tablet of placebo (crossover design). \[Study 2 of 2\]
NCT00313586
This randomized phase II trial studies azacitidine with or without entinostat to see how well they work compared to azacitidine alone in treating patients with myelodysplastic syndromes, chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, or acute myeloid leukemia. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as azacitidine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Entinostat may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving azacitidine together with entinostat may work better in treating patients with myelodysplastic syndromes, chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, or acute myeloid leukemia.
NCT00806819
The trial will be performed to evaluate if BIBF 1120 in combination with standard pemetrexed therapy is more effective than placebo (inactive capsule) plus standard pemetrexed therapy in patients with stage IIIB, IV or recurrent NSCLC. Safety information about BIBF1120/pemetrexed will be obtained.
NCT02577705
The goals of the The Building Wealth and Health Network (The Network) are to develop and rigorously test an asset building model that will build financial, social and human capital through asset building, financial education and trauma-informed peer support. Program components include: 1) Matched savings accounts; 2) Financial literacy classes; and 3) Peer support groups using the Sanctuary ® trauma-informed approach to social services. This program is offered in partnership with the Department of Public Welfare of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The program elements will fulfill work requirements for the program called temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). The hypothesis is that the program's combination of services will result in improved economic security through boosting income, increasing assets, and building a supportive social network, that then translates to better health outcomes.
NCT01745380
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of Kovacaine Mist, and Placebo for inducing pulpal anesthesia of the maxillary teeth in adults.
NCT00095082
This trial is conducted in Europe and the United States of America (USA). The purpose of this study is to test whether insulin detemir is a safe and at least as effective alternative to insulin glargine for the control of blood glucose in basal/bolus therapy in patients with type I diabetes.
NCT02081365
Dental and health anxiety are common and potentially distressing problems, for both patients and health care providers. Anxiety has been identified as a barrier to regular dental visits and as an important target for enhancement of oral health-related quality of life. possible groups, (1) high dental anxiety and (2) low dental anxiety. The study aimed to develop and evaluate a computerized cognitive-behavioral therapy dental anxiety intervention (C-CBT) that could be easily implemented in dental healthcare settings. A cognitive-behavioral protocol based on psychoeducation, exposure to feared dental procedures, and cognitive restructuring was developed. A randomized controlled trial was conducted (N=151) to test its efficacy. Consenting adult dental patients who met inclusion (e.g., high dental anxiety) and exclusion criteria were randomized to one of two groups, (1) immediate treatment (IT) (n=74) or (2) a waitlist control (WL) (n=77).
NCT00410384
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, tolerability, and impact on quality of life of two different doses of belimumab administered in addition to standard therapy in subjects with active, autoantibody-positive systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) disease.
NCT00968812
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of canagliflozin (JNJ-28431754) compared with glimepiride in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with inadequate control despite treatment with metformin.
NCT00439413
The purpose of this study is designed to examine the effects of Selegiline Transdermal System and behavioral intervention in smoking cessation as compared to behavioral intervention alone.
NCT00633594
This is a Phase I/II multicenter, open-label, dose-escalation study of rituximab, bortezomib, and lenalidomide in the first-line or second-line treatment of patients with Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL).
NCT02346422
The purpose of this trial is to characterize the safety profile and preliminary activity of high-dose MYDICAR® in persons with advanced heart failure when added to their maximal and optimized therapy.
NCT02186626
West Nile virus (WNV) is considered an emerging virus in the United States, and infection can lead to severe illness in older adults. This study will evaluate the safety of and immune response to a live West Nile virus vaccine (WN/DEN4Δ30) for the prevention of West Nile encephalitis in adults 50 to 65 years old.
NCT00383162
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover, two-attack, out-patient, early-intervention evaluation of subjects who have migraine with or without aura and who discontinued use of short acting triptan(s) within the past year due to non-response or intolerance. Subjects will treat 2 separate migraine attacks during the mild phase of each attack; one attack will be treated with one tablet of the Combination Product (sumatriptan succinate and naproxen sodium) and the other attack with one tablet of placebo (crossover design). \[Study 1 of 2\]
NCT01798303
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate a once daily (QD) 40-milligram (mg) oral dose of LY2940094 in participants with an alcohol dependency to evaluate if LY2940094 will reduce alcohol drinking in these participants. The study will last for 8 weeks.
NCT01455896
Phase 3 study to Evaluate cardiovascular outcomes in patients with type 2 diabetes treated with ITCA 650.
NCT01349803
This study is primarily a safety study. The primary and secondary endpoints are based on 24-hour Holter monitor assessments obtained on Day 14 relative to baseline.
NCT02293382
The objective is to perform a retrospective chart review to generate data to evaluate the clinical characteristics and course of disease progression of MPS IIIB.
NCT01647711
This trial is divided into Part A and Part B. The primary objective of Part A is to establish the Maximal Tolerated Dose of intermittent high dose afatinib. The primary objective of Part B is to assess the response rate of patients with non-small cell lung cancer with EGFR T790M mutations to a dose of intermittent afatinib established in Part A. The secondary objective is to explore tumor response and tumor-derived biological markers of response to afatinib, as well as pharmacokinetic parameters of afatinib.
