NCT00046852
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining chemotherapy with autologous peripheral stem cell transplantation and immunotherapy may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more cancer cells. Biological therapies use different ways to stimulate the immune system and stop cancer cells from growing. PURPOSE: Randomized phase I/II trial to study the effectiveness of combining chemotherapy with peripheral stem cell transplantation followed by immunotherapy in treating patients who have multiple myeloma.
NCT01413087
This is a multicenter, open label, randomized, phase 2b study, designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of patients with locally advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma following intratumoral administration of BC-819 and intravenously administered gemcitabine. Intratumoral injections of BC-819 will be performed using endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). Primary Objective: To assess the effect of intratumoral endoscopic ultrasound injection of BC-819 administered with intravenous gemcitabine on progression-free survival. Secondary Objectives: To compare the effects of intratumoral injection of BC-819 administered in combination with intravenous gemcitabine vs. intravenous gemcitabine alone on: Overall survival, Response rate, Resectability of the target tumor lesion, Quality of life, Safety, Serological Tumor Marker: CA 19-9, Duration of response, Failure-free survival
NCT02867371
The Archimedes System is an image-guided navigation system used to access tissue samples in the lungs. This study is being conducted to confirm the performance of the Archimedes System in patients who are scheduled for standard bronchoscopy to diagnose highly suspicious lung cancer or metastatic disease. Navigation to and sampling of the patient's lung cancer tumor is conducted.
NCT02959268
This is a Prospective open-label, comparative pivotal study with comparison of self-assessments with blinded investigator assessments. Pregnant women attending the labor and delivery unit of the hospital or emergency clinic and reporting unidentified wetness (undetermined whether this is amniotic fluid leakage or urinary incontinence) will be enrolled in this study. After informed consent is obtained, each subject will be given a single AL-SENSE to use up to 12 hours or until the perception of wetness. Product Usage After usage, the subject will read and record any occurrence of color change of the AL-SENSE 10 minutes after the liner removal and to mark if it changes color to blue or to green or not on the designated form. The subjects will fill out the questionnaire regarding the product usage experience and the liner color reading with no help from the investigator, to validate IFU reading comprehension. A blinded clinician will perform a "standard clinical diagnosis" (clinical assessment). The standard clinical diagnostic methods will include the following tests: (1) Pooling test, (2) Ferning test, (3) pH test by pH paper. A positive Pooling test and/or positive results in both the pH test and the Ferning test will be defined as a positive clinical test result.
NCT00106431
GPI-04-0001 was a Phase II, non-randomized, open label, single arm study that was conducted at approximately 30 sites, primarily in the United States, Europe and Russia. It assessed the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of romidepsin as a treatment for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL). Study patients (pts) received romidepsin in a dose of 14 mg/m\^2 intravenously over 4 hours on Days 1, 8 and 15 of each 28-day cycle. The duration of study treatment was 6 cycles although pts who showed an objective response or stable disease could continue to receive therapy, at the discretion of the investigator, until disease progression or another withdrawal criterion was met.
NCT04141163
The purpose of this trial is to investigate the use of metformin in the treatment of Fragile X syndrome (FXS) patients. Metformin is an FDA approved compound with an established safety profile and minimal side effects that specifically targets and normalizes multiple aspects of the pathophysiology in FXS. This is a randomized double-blind placebo-controlled 2-arm parallel group design study of the drug metformin and placebo in FXS subjects with a primary outcome measure of safety/tolerability and secondary outcome measures on cognition, attention, anxiety, sleep, and physiologic and biochemical biomarkers.
NCT01836029
The purpose of this study is to compare the progression-free survival of patients with recurrent or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHN) treated with VTX-2337 + cisplatin or carboplatin + 5-FU + cetuximab versus patients treated with cisplatin or carboplatin + 5-FU + cetuximab alone (standard-of-care; SOC). Safety and overall survival will also be evaluated.
NCT03178071
This expanded access study has being designed following a demand from the FDA, given the increase in the number of request for single patient INDs for lorlatinib
