NCT01368536
This was a study to assess the safety and efficacy of Valturna and amlodipine or Valturna and chlorthalidone when compared to Valturna alone in patients with stage 2 hypertension and diabetes mellitus 2.
NCT00676650
This study will compare the safety and efficacy of sunitinib in combination with prednisone versus placebo and prednisone in patients that have metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer that has progressed after treatment with a docetaxel-containing chemotherapy regimen. This is a second-line study.
NCT00003368
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Irinotecan may be effective in treating patients with abnormal liver or kidney function or who have received radiation therapy. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of irinotecan in treating patients with solid tumors or lymphoma who have abnormal liver or kidney function or who have had previous radiation therapy to the pelvis.
NCT00047437
The purpose of this study is to determine the long-term safety and effectiveness of exercise training for individuals with congestive heart failure (CHF).
NCT01485965
The primary purpose of this study is to assess the effect of food upon the pharmacokinetics (PK) of SEN0014196 in subjects with Huntington disease (HD).
NCT00010803
This study will determine the effect of 240mg/day Ginkgo biloba in decreasing the incidence of dementia and specifically Alzheimer's disease (AD), slowing cognitive decline and functional disability, reducing incidence of cardiovascular disease, and decreasing total mortality.
NCT00497146
To evaluate the effects of paricalcitol capsules on cardiac structure and function over 48 weeks in patients with Stage 3/4 chronic kidney disease (CKD) who had left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH).
NCT00483756
A new immunosuppressive drug, based on the inhibition of an important enzyme in the immune system called JAK3, is being developed by Pfizer to prevent transplant rejection. In this research study, a JAK3 inhibitor or cyclosporine will be given to new kidney transplant patients for 12 months. Patients will be assigned to one of three treatment groups after receiving a kidney transplant. Two of the treatment groups will receive 2 different dosing regimens of the JAK3 inhibitor that will be taken by mouth. The third treatment group will be a standard-of-care control arm. Patients will continue to take the assigned study medication for 12 months as well as other standard transplant medications such as prednisone.
NCT01808703
The purpose of this study is to determine if a topical, adhesive patch (PeriZone PerioPatch) applied to the gums after a deep tooth cleaning (scaling and root planing) reduces the signs of advanced gum disease (chronic periodontitis) more than the deep tooth cleaning alone. Eighty patients with advanced gum disease will be recruited and treated within this clinical trial. Patients will be evaluated for changes in gum measurements over a 12-week period.
NCT00996957
For cancer cells to grow, they need to have nutrients supplied to them through blood vessels. The study drug, ACE-041, is designed to work by blocking the growth of those blood vessels and preventing cancer cells from growing. The purpose of this study is to establish safe dose levels of ACE-041 in patients with advanced solid tumors or relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma following multiple dose administration. This study will also evaluate if ACE-041 has an effect on tumors.
NCT00198510
The purpose of this study is to determine if intravitreal injection of Vitrase (ovine hyaluronidase) clears vitreous hemorrhage
NCT00634933
This study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of two dosing regimens of a compound known as TRU-015 in combination with methotrexate (MTX) in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis.
NCT01370525
This study will investigate the efficacy of esomeprazole 20 mg once a day in the treatment of frequent heartburn
NCT00314782
Two-part, multi-center study design to establish a maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of ZD4054 in combination with docetaxel and to explore its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetic (PK) profiles and clinical efficacy in patients with metastatic hormone-refractory prostate cancer (HRPC)
NCT00198484
The purpose of this study is to determine whether Vitrase (hyaluronidase for injection) is effective as a spreading agent for other injected drugs prior to ocular surgery
NCT00485173
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the investigational implant (INFUSE® Bone Graft/PEEK Interbody Spacer/Anterior Cervical Plate) as a method of facilitating spinal fusion at a single level from C3-C7 in patients with symptomatic cervical degenerative disc disease.
NCT00666926
Phase 1 safety, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics trial of the focal adhesion kinase (FAK) inhibitor PF-00562271 in patients with positive Positron Emission Tomography \[PET\] scans due to advanced non-hematologic malignancies, including pancreatic, head and neck, and prostatic neoplasms, and patients with other malignancies appropriate for serial biopsy. Screening consists of a Fluorodeoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography \[FDG-PET\] and tumor imaging, medical history, physical examination, Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group \[ECOG\] performance status, blood draws, a pregnancy test for female patients of childbearing potential. Treatment consists of PF00562271 tablets continued until progression of disease, unacceptable toxicity, or patient request. Evaluations for bioactivity are measured by serial FDG-PET and blood tests for biomarkers related to FAK and PYK2 kinase activities.
NCT01536145
This study represents the first-in-human study for CP-751,871. The study aimed to define the safety, tolerability, and maximum tolerated dose of CP-751,871 in patients with multiple myeloma through a dose escalation design.
NCT00271596
This research plan proposes to conduct a double-blind, placebo-controlled pilot clinical trial in 36 adults with mild Huntington's disease (HD) to address the following research aims: 1. To determine the effect of citalopram compared to placebo in patients with early HD on executive function and other outcome variables including functional measures (health-related quality of life, work productivity, and self-reported attention), motor performance, and psychiatric status, 2. To study the relationship between executive function and functional status in patients with early HD after selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) treatment, and 3. To examine the effect of citalopram treatment on volumetric and metabolic (i.e, N-acetyl-aspartate concentration) measures in the neostriatum among patients with recently diagnosed Huntington's disease.
NCT00198523
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the bioequivalence of the combination test agent, prednisolone acetate 1.0% and tobramycin 0.3% ophthalmic suspension compared to PredForte (prednisolone acetate 1.0%) ophthalmic suspension. Bioequivalence will be measured by comparing aqueous humor concentrations of prednisolone acetate.
